Re: Uncommon Opinions
My bottles never lasted long enough to be concerned. If I'm not mistaken its couple years. I keep a bottle in the fridge 24/7. I don't buy the big 32oz bottle, one its to big to fit anywhere, two it takes to long to run through it. Instead I buy the 16oz size, it last roughly a month using everyday.Comment

Re: Uncommon Opinions
No, drinking while eating will not "send your stomach into overdrive". Your stomach is highly, highly acidic. Not quite pH 1, but way down on the scale. The water you drink with your meal isn't going to do any more or less than the food you were already eating because of the differences in the acidity.
Heartburn is a completely different response, usually related to the fact that the stomach is NOT producing enough acid to break down stronger acidic foods one might eat.
If not drinking during a meal works for you, do it. If drinking during a meal works for you, do it. The only valid argument I've heard in this situation is that drinking while eating will slow you down and help overeating. But your body is not going to punish you for drinking while eating by cranking up acid production.Wolverines Wings Same Old Lions Tigers Pistons Erika ChristensenComment

Re: Uncommon Opinions
Were you taking direct spoonfuls of it or were you using them to dilute water? I tried to take like a half shot of ACV once and it was repulsive. Then I learned it's too powerful to just take it plain, you need to put it in water, and that was pretty disgusting too lol, but I've gotten used to it over time and agree with Phobia it can be very helpfulWolverines Wings Same Old Lions Tigers Pistons Erika ChristensenComment

Re: Uncommon Opinions
You guys have to get Braggs ACV or any organic ACV with the "mother"
Take 2 tablespoons and dilute in a pint glass of water, mix it with honey. It taste good and is amazing for you. It cures heart burn, regulates blood sugar and your skin will get healthier and that's what I experienced drinking for the last couple years.
Also the shelf life for it is 5 years.

Re: Uncommon Opinions
No need to drink disgusting vinegar.
Carbs are probably the biggest driver of digestive/acid reflux issues.
In order to fix my problems, my doctor had me do 6 weeks with no carbohydrates and a Nexium every morning. Then he had me do 6 more weeks without carbohydrates but with no Nexium aid. This was, in effect, a healing of/a reset of my stomach.
Since it had a profound effect on my acid reflux and digestive issues, I realized that it was indeed the carbohydrates causing the problem. I went from eating like three or four Rolaids a day to three or four a week. Now when I know I'm going to be eating or drinking a good deal (my free days are of legend) I pop a Nexium and a digestive enzymes supplement and I have like zero issue.
Nexium is intended to be used 2 weeks at a time then stopping. Not quite sure why it helps me in the fashion I use it but hey, whatever works.Last edited by TheMatrix31; 08-04-2016, 06:39 AM.Comment
