I know you weren't. I get where you're coming from, and with certain types of music I'm that way as well. I'm just moreso inclined to enjoying songs for how they sound rather than the connection the band has with the lyrics. Different strokes for different folks.

I myself have realized I'm a more "how it sounds" kind of guy. Maybe it has something to do with playing trombone for almost 10 years now.

I've been listening to The Band and Pet Sounds for months now and I've just now started listening to the lyrics. Same goes for Quadrophenia, I haven't gotten to listening to the lyrics yet, but it sure sounds awesome.

Another one if mine Doom/Sludge Metal is the best metal "sub genre". nothing like some good heavy down tempo down tuned music.

Castle is the best show on TV.

You have too much time if you can play multiple 82 game seasons of nba 2k on 12-min quarters and not sim one single game.

No matter how hard you try, you can never get perfectly realistic stats on Madden or NCAA (or any sports game, really)

People that think everyone should marry by age 30 need to catch up with the times...

Getting drunk is overrated.

I don't see why people think marijuana is so cool but they put down other drug users. A drug is a drug. Doing ANY of them doesn't make you cooler than anybody

I think there's too many people that care way too much about sports and athletes. At the end of the day its a game to be entertained for a few hours not take over your life and why the **** do we care what athletes do off the court/field? Care more about your life.

Same goes for actors/actresses.

HBO/showtime/fx/amc shows are better than movies.

Didn't think The Sopranos was that great, especially compared to other great hbo shows.

Everyone needs a break from technology for at least a 1 or 2 weeks a year.

Most doctors are drug dealers with a degree.

If you have been unemployed for over 6 months, you are not trying hard enough.

Outkast's "Stankonia" and Limp Bizkit's "Chocolate Starfish and the Hot Dog Flavored Water" are two great albums.

I think it's their weakest album, personally. Admittedly I have not listened to Gold Cobra much and I'm probably the only fan of Results May Vary that exists.

To that end, IMO:

- Limp Bizkit featured some incredibly talented musicians on drums, guitars, and bass
- good professional wrestling didn't end with the end of the Attitude Era
- I find the concept of dedicated brand loyalty dumb. I admit I'll purchase the same brand sometimes out of habit, but I'm not above evaluating alternatives
- I think Web 2.0 technologies such as Twitter and Reddit are incredibly important, despite the obvious problem with the signal-to-noise ratio
- I thoroughly enjoy Madden NFL 13, the game has left my console maybe once in the past three months
- the NFL 2K series, though fun, indeed had significant flaws that have been glossed over through the lens of nostalgia
- modern high fashion is overrated and a waste of money; just give me something that's comfortable and not ragged, I've had the same shoes for three years for example
- 90% of cable television is a waste of time
- 100% of cable news is a waste of time
- I respect what The Beatles meant to music, but the only song of theirs I like is "I Am The Walrus"
- I'm not a fan of and never was a fan of Sublime, Dave Matthews, Bob Marley, or many other traditionally-popular bands amongst young adult males
- Nickelback, while not my first choice of bands, is underrated, particularly in context of all the internet hate they unfairly receive
- the NBA is the best basketball on the planet
- I respect NASCAR drivers and I recognize that they are athletes, but I don't enjoy the sport
- I don't enjoy watching racing in general, but I will play the hell out of Forza
- as to be contradictory, I enjoy watching Olympic swimming
- maybe I haven't listened to the right songs but I find The White Stripes and Jack White by extension to be incredibly boring to listen to
- present-day music with high production value is incredibly underrated compared to older music
- video games are art
- assuming that the ACC's exit fee stands up in court, I am glad that Maryland is leaving the ACC and will not miss that school or the vast majority of their fanbase in the conference whatsoever
- I'd rather watch sports sober

I also agree with this. They aren't my favorite, but they aren't nearly as bad as people make them out to be.
