The only other thing I would be concerned about is the impact she may have on your daughters (especially your youngest). Obviously you know your kids better than anyone else, but I'd be concerned that they may learn to think that this is what a normal relationship is supposed to be like and that that behavior is acceptable.

The only reason I know when it's my gf's time of the month is when she shuts down my "advances". It never has an effect on how she treats me or anything like that. I consider myself lucky.

I'm not going to pretend to know what it's like, but I still don't see it as an excuse to be a hateful person.

It's more like rolling over to the other side of the bed and pretending to be asleep.

Re: Anyone else have a wife/gf with horrible PMS?

I have to give positive comments about my wife since I have been complaining about her. She texted me earlier with a huge apology and said she wants to work on the volatility of our relationship. That's a start. She knows we need fixing, and if I can get us in to a good counselor who knows bs when he/she hears it, maybe my wife will see the light that she is the antagonist 90% of the time.

Another nice thing is the time of the month is no deterrant to my wanton advances. That aspect is off the charts. Which is sort of bad, because she can definitely get what she wants using her womanly wiles. It's a Catch 22 with 30something year old women, their hormones kick in making them very pms bitchy, but the hormones also make them very "agreeable" to relations. If I was in my 20s I would totally seek to date a woman in her 30s and make sure I wasn't around during pms week. 30 plus year old women are way more comfortable with themselves than younger women and are fully ready to live it up before they hit their 40s.

Sorry to hear about this longshadow. I know PMS is worse some for women as it is for others. It's good that she is wanting to work on it. My wife and I are marriage mentors and we do Prepare/Enrich with our couples. It works very well. Best of luck to you man.

To her badmouthing me to her friends and family is a good phone conversation. To her leaving all day on fathers day to go to a cookout at her sisters and not inviting me is cool. She came back at 12:30 last night and said happy fathers day. Because if im not showing any emotions it means its cool.
Last week I had a 12 hr shift. I came home tired and ordered a pizza for the kids and me. Were having a good time eating and chatting she wakes up and calls me a lazy motherf***** in front of the kids as im biting into a slice of pizza. This hurt my core deep inside honestly. I couldve cried but I swallowed my pride.
Im pretty much done. My good moments are at work joking around with co workers. I dont know exactly what it is but Ive never met anyone that cared or loved me in that way. Im 31.

That one part got me so down. That's just messed up. But it's good you felt comfortable enough to share it here.

Putting it into text is a good way of releasing your feelings. That's why OS is such a good place to vent, you get to release, and everyone else gives you their take. It's not always what you expect, either, and that can be a good thing. You can keep psyching yourself out into saying I can deal with this but when the people here are like, Seriously? It's like your feelings are liberated.

Best of luck with your situation. If you're a good, hard working man, you'll find someone who appreciates that. Sometimes the threat of leaving can work to straighten out your significant other too. I don't like that tactic, but being on the verge of losing your other half can be an eye opening moment.
