I've told people about this before but I'll throw it out here ... My sister died in a car crash in 94 when she was 12. In 2008 my first child was born and then my second almost exactly one year later. There were many, many occasions when one or both would be playing or watching tv when all the sudden they would stop and walk to a corner of the room and just stare. When we would ask what they're looking at they'd say "katie." I have no pictures of her in the house and rarely talk about her. They were even able to describe her to a T. Other times they'd be playing, stop, then say, "katie's here." We'd ask "where" and they'd point to a corner. After they reached the age of about 3 or so, they never again mentioned her and when we'd asked them about her they had no clue as to who she was.

Same thing happened to my sister, the way my mom describes it my sister saw my grandpa who had died 3 years earlier. My sister described certain aspects that really took my parents aback.

Re: Do we have ghosts?
Not so much spooky, or a ghost story per say, but I thought after reading the thread that I would add it. The only experience I've had is my grandfather(who is 95) says he has dreams a couple times a month where his mother, brother and sister(all whom are deceased) are "calling out to him" to "join them". It gives me chills just thinking about it and creeps me out.Comment

Do we have ghosts?
I have a similar story to Josh. My twin brother died of SIDS when he was 4 months old.
I have a 2 year old daughter. Every once in a while I would go to her room (when she was 1.5 or so) to get her up from her nap. Sometimes she would just be looking in a upper corner of the room or pointing. I would ask her what she was doing and she would say "Nick" and laugh. It creeped me out a bit but in a good way.

Way too many people have encountered something or have a story to tell for me to blow it off as ghosts not being real, I just want to see something for myself. But then again I don't, you know what I mean?Comment

Re: Do we have ghosts?
In regards to my story about my boys, here is a "study" done on kids seeing ghosts.
link
I also saw another article about how spirits reside in a spectrum of light just outside of human vision but that it is proven children have the ability to see in this spectrum. As they get older and use their eyes more, the spectrum goes away. Apparently we still have this spectrum in the far corners of our eyes which is why we sometimes see something out of the corner of our eyes.Individuality: Always remember that you are unique. Re: Do we have ghosts?
Kids are weird... I mean not to discount anyones story, but, the truth is most kids exhibit odd behavior at some point. Some say random things at times, some have imaginary friends, some elaborate on misunderstandings because the adult might show interest.
I remember my sister once said "A man asked me for a piece of gum today", and my mom, being a neurotic, and it being the 90's when the whole don't talk to strangers, etc became huge, started asking questions, and this story was made out as if there was some guy asking to come into the house for gum, yada yada, if it was true, yeah, sounds like some kidnapping scheme was in order. I dont remember what actually went down or where my sister got this stuff from, but I remember my mom, like "What did he look like" "Have you ever seen him before", and my sister kept the thing going for a while. My mother was acting like this had actually taken place, just on some random thing my sister said for no apparent reason.
Kids are weird like that. I find it incredibly hard to believe loved ones who have passed are sitting in the corner of a room and are invisible except only to children. I thin sometimes we, as adults try and make sense of senseless stuff kids do or say sometimes. You would be shocked at what kids pick up. they hear everything, names, stories, everything.Comment

I respect your opinion. It's the same situation with life after death. People either believe it or don't.Kids are weird... The one thing I'd like to suggest to all the non-believers out there would be to try the Ouija Board. (No, this is not based on the movie)
When I was younger, my brothers made a board and had me play with them. Until this day, I still remember vividly everything that happened that night and still scars me.
Maybe it was my imagination, since I was only 10-11 years old, but I've had friends that also have bad luck with the board.
I would love non-believers to try it out and record it or livestream it. That would be fascinating to see what would happen. IF anything.Comment

Re: Do we have ghosts?
I believe in ghosts but the Ouija Board isn't something I'd use to try and make people believe. It was way too easy to fake the answers on that.--
Have you ever wanted to coach or play basketball at the next level, but something prevented you from achieving that dream? Fret no more. Ask me about SimWorld Hoops to see how you can create your virtual self, and follow your path from the prep-level to the pros.

Re: Do we have ghosts?
My opinion of course (and I don't know anything about any movie) but regardless of if you believe or not, a ouiji board is not something I'd suggest anybody using for anything at anytime.
If you don't believe, you shouldn't be messing with something you don't understand. If you do believe, you should understand that you're opening something that you might not close when you put the board away.Oakland Athletics San Jose Sharks
