      Re: 2014 FITNESS CHALLENGE

I've gained about 15 pounds since summer. I kept going to the gym, but didn't work out as hard as I should have, and I gave in to drinking too much coke while watching football this fall.

Five years ago, I had a goal of running a sub 6-minute mile and also running a 10K. I completed the 10K and was close to the mile mark. That's my goal. I've got two cokes left, which I'll allow myself to drink this weekend and then I'm done. And no more messing around at the gym.

        Re: 2014 FITNESS CHALLENGE

I haven't worked out since moving at the end of October. I've gained 5-10lbs. Not really a concern to me yet, but my attitude, energy, and the feel of my body just isn't where I want it or what it used to be.

Within the next week I'm hoping I can find room in the house for Insanity. I'd also like to incorporate a yoga routine either in the mornings or after Insanity work-outs. Is DDP Yoga the only "in home" yoga option?

I'm trying to double up on the Burpee challenge, doing it in the morning and evening. Good move, bad move for those of you who have did it?

Just finished day 2 of morning/night. I know it'll become tough when I get up in numbers.

Shouldn't hurt. If your goal is to just melt fat, than extra burpees will put your metabolism into overdrive.

I ended up doing the extras this evening after T25 as well. I'll see how long I can stick with it in the evenings.

                  Re: 2014 FITNESS CHALLENGE

I stuck to my daily challenge and knocked out the 10 Burpees. Felt like doing more but then I went and worked out on my Bayou Fitness Trainer and that was more than enough.

Tomorrow both my wife and I are starting DDP Yoga together so that should be fun.

My goal is to workout 5 days per week with my Fitness Trainer which I am absolutely loving!!! Following up with DDP Yoga to help stretch out those muscles.

                    Re: 2014 FITNESS CHALLENGE

After losing 18 lbs from October to December (190-172 lbs) doing 10 weeks of Focus T25, my goal is to maintain this weight while building more muscle and toning up. I took a break from exercise during the Christmas holiday and while I didn't put any weight back on, I began to feel lazy. Got back into last night.

My plan is to do select T25 workouts some days and other days I'll use my Total Gym and free weights. I'm not looking to get completely ripped and have rock hard abs, but I'm striving to get more definition in those areas like I had when I was in high school a long time ago. If I happen to lose any more weight as well, I'll take it. I wouldn't complain about getting to below 170 lbs.

As I have said in the 2013 Fitness Challenge thread, T25 is great and really gives results if you keep at it.

Good luck to everyone this year!

Here's my before and after pictures.

In the before picture I was 6'3 155, and this was taken March 2011. I started lifting sometime in April 2011 I believe.

Then I have 3 pictures from my 2 years mark, around April 2013. Upper body is flexed, but it's all I have. Leg picture is from early January 2013, so I was probably about 5 or so pounds lighter at that point. I was 6'3 187 in April 2013, I gained 32 lbs in 2 years. Pretty solid.

I hope by the end of April 2014, I can surpass my weight and lifting highs of 2013. I really hope to improve my squat this year the most, the highest I had hit last year was 195, but I know I should be able to do more.
