Day 4 : 20 burpees done! Next, Bayou Trainer then DDP Yoga!

I would like to add that starting these burpees, I can really feel my abs engaged during the day / night.

Trying doing some drawing in Maneuvers too.. You basically draw in your navel towards your spine and hold it. Good to do when doing major lifts. Aids in keep core strong and tight.

I fell off big time guyz. Started the Year 2013 at 348 pounds (my mind was blown) and ended the year at 286. I got as far down as 275 but like I said I slipped off once it got cold again. Im looking for big strides in 2014 though. Once I get to my end goal I may post some before and after photos. I feel good about my fitness plans for 2014.

Don't underestimate the power of proper eating. Helps a ton.

For me my current goal is to lose 15 lbs, aiming to do it in a month. It's not that I'm fat or extremely out of shape, but I've been lifting regularly for the past 5-6 months but with no real goals. I had just made a workout up and was just working out to stay in shape. I'm 5'9". I weighed in Monday morning at 196.4. As of this morning I was down to 191.8, good start.

I changed my workout to a HIIT workout at the gym which I'm still tweaking. I may add some burpees in there as I look through this thread and see the hype. I've also really changed my diet, not just what I'm eating but how much I'm eating as well. First couple days were tough but I'm beginning to adjust.

I'm hoping to get down to 180, maybe 175, then perhaps put the weight back on but in muscle.

                  Ruffington,

If you don't already have one I'd suggest getting a heart-rate monitor. It's great for HIIT. It motivates me to keep mine up and to pick it up when I'm slacking.

For anyone in the market for some new shoes this new year try out a shoe fit finder. Not all shoes are made the same and if your feet don't feel 100% after a run you could probably use this.

                    http://www***nnersworld.com/shoeadvisor - all brands
http://www.myprecisionfit.com - Mizuno brand. I personally have the Wave Creation 13 and they are the best shoe I've ever owned.

                      10 Burpees
5 mins on elliptical w/ resistance
                      25 situps w/ 15 lb medicine ball

Weak, I know, but it's a start. I've gain 35 lbs since I injured my knee back in September. During that time, I got comfortable sitting on my butt and eating all the time. Even when I recovered, I still didn't want to be active again.

I took a good look in the mirror yesterday and didn't like what I saw at all. Time to get back on it. I'm jumping in on the burpee challenge as well.

                      Before: 205 lbs.
                      Now: 241 lbs.
                      Goal: 200 lbs.

Better than just sitting on the couch! It's good to start slow and work your way into it. Good luck bro!

Everyone has to start somewhere. I didn't start with the routines I have now.

My brother gave me feedback on my squat form before I left San Diego and returned to Charleston. I decided to cut back the weights and focus more on my form. Still hit 120 lbs.

4-year anniversary trip to Charleston. Don't eat pralines and don't go into a kilwin's and try the kilwin mud fugde...OMG it's my crack.
