I don't play sports so I'm OK. But you bring up an interesting point with sunglasses. Prescribed sunglasses are expensive as ****. Would be nice if I had contacts and could just get a pair without having to do that.

Eh, they're doing the surgery now without even cutting the cornea open so soon enough I'll have it done I'm sure.

Before I had contacts, my eye insurance wouldn't cover sunglasses so I paid out of pocket twice for some nice Oakley glasses. They were way more expensive than any of the Oakleys I own now.

I'm a bit of a brand whore because of comfort and reliability. Here's my actual glasses now..




I'm really just holding out for LASIK. I can get it paid for in the states, but I'm in a really small part of Japan and I would have to go to Yokosuka to get it done here. I should be in the states by next Spring so I'll request to have it done then.

I don't have contacts or glasses.

I feel left out.

Out of curiosity...

Anybody else flash their lights at oncoming traffic when they just past a cop sitting somewhere (likely clocking) to kindly warn them? I do this all time and never get this done back at me. I thought this was an "unwritten" rule?

It's called aiding and abetting....not kindly warning them.
(former P.O. here....and I guess it's easy for me to kid about this...since I have a get out of jail free card(current F.D.)....

But seriously....it depends....I can gauge speed of oncoming traffic quite well....if they are around safe speed...yes. If they are hauling ***....nope.

In terms of wearing glasses during sports, I have a pair of goggles (rec specs, if you will.) that I wear. They're not the most fashionable things in the world (who am I kidding? They actually are the most fashionable things in the world), but they get the job done.

Still going back and forth on which to get. I could either get 2 of the same(or similar) glasses for one price,or get 1 of the top designer ones(like rayban,gucci ect.) for the same price as the 2 from a lesser brand.

It's tough deciding which to get when you actually go to the store,cause website might have a few and you see which you want,but then you go to the store and there's literally hundreds to see,and they don't have the glasses names like they do on the website,it's just brand names,so it's hard to distinguish which is the one I saw online.

I do it. Apparently it's legal. Some guy recently took it to court and won based off our first amendment.

Yep, I do it for every car for about a mile down the road.

Yup, used to see/do it all the time in Wisconsin. My mom taught me what it meant before I took Driver's Ed.
