I see no end in sight with these attacks.

Sadly, I feel there is more to come of these types of massacres.

There is NO profit to what they're doing...there's no ransoms, hostage situations...it's pure cold-blooded murder. I think of myself as a logical and reasonable person...I cannot fathom how a person would not only conceive such thoughts but be able to justify in his/her mind a reason to do it.

Everybody does something for a reason, even if it's "just because". These aren't "just because" moments to me...these perpetrators have a reason behind it.

But it's reasonable to them, which is often the point, no matter how despicable.

First off, glad to hear the CA guys are okay. I know there's plenty more here and I hope they're all safe as well.

It's like every incident creates a copycat, and then another and another and so on. This one was different then some of the others. I haven't watched/read too much about it but heard there were multiple accomplices, even wearing body armor. It's getting worse, which is the most scary.

I'm just in a state of paralysis with these things. When I've heard them in the past, my heart drops to my stomach. When I heard this over the radio coming home from work, I got a mixture of angry/confused. I yelled to the big man upstairs why did this keep happening in my car. It's like a leak in your house... you come home to it, clean up the mess and fix it, then it busts open every couple weeks. You can't pin down the source so you can't explain why it keeps happening so all you can do is put a little bandaid over top of it and brace yourself for the next one.

My father-in-law & I talked about it for a bit when I got home but we couldn't come to a solution. There's options, but we simply don't know if they will actually fix the problem. To me, it's a people problem. And people have free will to do what they want. So how exactly can we fix that?

Bingo....I really think it's a true people connection problem. Now we have to figure out what causes so much isolation.

Honestly, unless I know someone specifically from an area when something like this happens, my first thought is of any OS'ers. We reach far and wide and you never know. I instantly thought of Matrix, Blzer, and Padresfan especially even if I knew they weren't from that immediate area. I come from a small state so the size of a place like California throws me off sometimes.

Thanks bro for the concern. I'm about 2 hours south. However, I have a good friend who is a health inspector for San Bernardino. Fortunately, he wasn't at work yesterday. I also have friends that live really close to the suspect's apartment. They were okay too.

Not entirely surprising. He was a great front man though.
