Re: Things that took you way too long to realize....

You know when ants walk back and forth in a straight line when doing ant things, and they bump into each other when walking opposite directions? I always wondered what that interaction was.

Turns out it is them smelling each other to see if they belong in the same colony, picking up scents that other ants of that colony would have. In other respects, they are sensing what else they have discovered on their route from somewhere. I guess if an ant is of a different colony in the situation, things could go south.

I see a trail of ants now. I think I should seek an ant from elsewhere, pick it up and drop it off on that line, and see how nature takes its course.

I know cockfighting and dogfighting are illegal, maybe ant fighting should be too lol

I wonder if they have Venus flytraps fight other Venus flytraps, in the Carolinas

Well I generally don't like killing things, at least on a personal level. If ants are nearby though and they colonize to infest an area, they must go.

As far as your situation you mentioned though, I don't kill spiders and I'll set them free by trapping them in a cup. However there was one time when I trapped two spiders in the same cup, and when I tried to set them free only one limped out. Apparently they had a spider fight inside the cup during that time and one ate the other. Basically I'll let nature take its course in those cases.

Two Spiders, One Cup - I don't even want to think about that. [emoji854]

I also just learned that Harold Reynolds is already 61 years old. He always seemed much younger.

Took a meteorologist here a little long to realize that the screen behind him responded to touch. It's a good reaction though.

Today I learned that College Basketball does not allow numbers over 5 to be on jerseys to make it easier for refs to signal who the foul is on.

heck, it used to be that the ncaa wouldn't let basketball players wear #1 or #2 either lol

one of those ''a's'' in ncaa should stand for ''archaic''

I just noticed that Toomgis from the ampm commercials has food all over his face. A burger for a nose, cookies for cheeks, a mustard hot dog upper lip, a Cheetos beard, and Twizzlers for hair.

Why I didn't notice these things before, I have no idea. It's probably because he scares me and I look away when he comes on screen.

*Johnny Carson voice* I did not know that; wacky, wild stuff.

At first I was like "...but there are like 12 guys on the team, how can there be no numbers over 5? Even with 0 and 00 that's only 7."

Sad admission, I just figured out how to send files to/from my phone and laptop with Bluetooth. I know how to use Bluetooth speakers and all other Bluetooth things, but struggled with this for some reason.

I've always tried and got the transfer failed message not knowing what's wrong. Just assumed it's my phone and left it at that.

Eventually found out there's an extra step, you need to go to another window and click recieve (or send) file to open up the window that begins the process before you actually send it from your phone. I figured you just needed to have Bluetooth on and paired
