I posted here (or in another OT thread?) a couple months ago that my mom told my dad in late December that she wants a divorce after 29 years of marriage.

The ugly conclusion to this sordid saga came yesterday when, at some point during an 8+ hour police siege at my home that saw an entire street blocked off by police cars and a SWAT team, my father put a gun in his mouth and took his own life in his bedroom on his 60th birthday.

Psy... damn. Just reading that gave me chills. At a loss for the right words here.

It's a tough pill to swallow a divorce, and then that as a result of it? No good all around. Let us know if there's anything you need or to just get your thoughts out there. I can't imagine what you're going through.

I'm gonna keep you and your family in my thoughts. You been here a long time, don't hesitate to lean on your OS family if you need to.

Sounds like, thru inference, your dad was living with you and you were trying to help him? I don't know the situation but I can only imagine coming home from work and seeing the SWAT team block off my entire neighborhood, to learn it was MY house and MY dad.

Such a sad depressing situation...I'll be praying for you, Psy.
