I don't think Bradford will do too bad at Minnesota. Wouldn't be surprised if they contend for the division again. I wouldn't call it robbed unless Minnesota goes 3-13 and then they were better off just sticking with Hill.

I also think he'll do good there. The fact that Philly got a 1st is pretty damn good tho. All the talk had been they couldn't even get a 2nd.

The fact that they got a 1 and a 4 for him is just a very good trade, IMO. But no doubt Minn got a capable QB to a decently potent offense.

I wasn't a fan of thrusting Wentz into a starting role, but you gave up a lot for the kid. Time to put up or shut up.

I think you guys are failing to realize that Bradford is basically Hill. There are no discernable differences in their numbers.

Talk about someone making a living off of draft position and a couple alright games. Even the GOAT Matt Flynn is jealous.

Right. But the point was people are talking like he's an upgrade over Hill.

He's not. It's a step sideways, not forward at all.

Let's not get carried away with what Sam Bradford is, but he is certainly an upgrade to Shaun Hill.

Hill has started more than 10 games only once in his 15 year career. Bradford, besides injuries has been the starter on every team he's been on. Again, Bradford is a mediocre QB, but he's better than a career, journeyman backup.

I'm not the biggest Bradford fan, and I am a believer that Hill could have QB'ed a good Minnesota team to the playoffs, but I think saying it's a lateral move is selling Bradford short.

It's more of a slightly diagonal move. The thing that makes it look kinda bad is the draft capital it took to bring in Bradford and his questionable injury history. 1st round picks are gold, even if they are expected to be later in the round (plus the 4th is conditional, meaning it'll bump up too dependent on the agreed to conditions).

This one is going to be results driven more so then a lot of trades. Vikings have to be really good this year and at least go deep in the playoffs (NFCCG, if you ask me) to justify this. Even then, you still aren't the champs so... we'll see.

The Eagles come out smelling like a rose though. Rectify the offseason screw up of handing mad money to QB's, recoup some picks, and still have your presumptive franchise QB in Wentz to keep fans excited. Roseman did some great work outside of that this offseason too, so this was a huge victory for them. Also, I don't see the Eagles being awful with either Daniel or Wentz at QB. Less week to week stability with Wentz or a limited ceiling with Daniel, but not too 3 pick bad (sorry Cleveland!). That team will go as far as their defense takes them with Schwartz coordinating it, so going from Bradford down doesn't sink them any more then they already were sunk IMO.

Few more days until the season. Can't get here soon enough!

I agree with just about everything you said except Chase Daniel could very well lead this team to 3-13, he is beyond horrendous. To be fair, the Eagles could be 3-13 behind Wentz. That is including the defense having a chance to be top 10.

Sammie Sleeves (Bradford) gave the Eagles the best chance to succeed THIS year, hands down, when compared to the other to QB's. He was also a lame duck in the sense that he was going to be released or traded at the end of this year. As you said, 1st rd picks are gold, with Minnesota in dire straights, the Eagles not only had no choice but to make a trade that helps recoup what they gave up for Wentz, but they'd likely never have gotten a comparable offer

I hope Bradford plays well. And it's possible he does. Finally having an off season to train, weapons and a run game ( see Adrian Peterson). Changing coaches again doesn't help, but Pat Shumur being there does and he probably had a lot of input towards the trade.

Also can't wait for the season to start. Its been a LONG summer.

Not sure who this was meant for. I for one, have never been a Bradford supporter. But if were talking about...

... And you can compare those stats and still say lateral, I don't know what else to say. A 36 year old who's been in the league since 2002, and took 2 snaps between then and 2007. Enough said right there. Bradford is what he is, mediocre at best. But a mediocre QB in the NFL is better than a career backup who threw two passes is first 5 years of service.

The Vikings thought Bradford was worth 2 draft picks, one being a 1st rd. That doesn't seem lateral to me. Neither of us are NFL GM's, but there's a reason they made that trade ( the price paid is a different story), it was because Bradford is an upgrade.

And sorry but you can't compare the average's of two players when one has played twice the amount of games...it just doesn't work that way.
