In most modern forums you don't have to hotlink, you can just paste it into the edit window and it's uploaded, attached and embedded in the post.
May seem like a small thing, but small things add up quick. The current version of this forum software was released in 2008.Last edited by mestevo; 07-18-2018, 08:55 PM.Comment

Is that what it's measured by, or is it just that those two numbers are about equivalent by coincidence?Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

I misread it. I thought it said: "A cosmic year is about the time it takes the Sun to revolve around the center of the Milky Way... about 225 million years."
That's what I get for reading this while watching the Cards-Cubs game, grading, and listening to music at the same time.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Stopped by to check in about the underwater lake on Mars, but want to add my two cents on the earlier discussion regarding advanced life elsewhere in the universe.
I think there are many civilizations out there, but that doesn't mean we should ever expect to encounter them. Often times we just fail to grasp the enormity of the universe. It is also quite possible that travel at the speeds necessary for interstellar travel may be impossible given the biological restraints. Sucks because I'm a huge sci-fi nerd, but its likely that we will forever be confined to our solar systemComment
