Put up my shutters today, cleaned up outside, brought the grill in. Stores were a zoo, but got supplies. Not looking forward to Thursday.

I'm in Orlando right now and we aren't sure what to do at this point. We are supposed to go to Daytona Beach Friday but I don't think that's gonna happen.

We will have to see what the predictions are tomorrow. I'm hoping we don't have to leave Orlando early.

Anybody else think that's an awfully sharp curve considering the size of the storm and the fact they said the trough coming down from Canada isn't strong enough to effect Matthew?

Stay safe everyone from Florida up. We're probably gonna see some of this in the Philly area but not to the effect most everyone south of us will.

Just be smart and be prepared. Hurricanes can be seen coming days in advance. Use your head but don't take things lightly.

Had this past Monday off for Rosh Hashanah and I am so glad I was able to trim some trees that were either awfully close or above our roof. We're pretty far off from the coast (just W of Disney), but it will be interesting to see what kind of wind we get. Not worried much about the rain or flooding as our area is well above sea level. Work has already been cancelled for Thursday and Friday because we follow what the schools do (all C. FL schools closed). The next 48 hours should be pretty interesting...

                        Holy crap!

I just saw a storm track that has this thing hitting Florida not once, but TWICE. That's pretty scary. Everybody in Florida be careful out there.

Models bringing it into Fort Pierce, just a bit north of me in St Lucie. Went through Jeanne and Frances as direct hits, going to be nasty.

Man. We are still in Orlando. Tried to get our airline to let us fly out of here tomorrow but they wouldnt do it.

Now we are trying to decide whether to wait it out in Orlando at a structurally strong hotel or drive west to the gulf.

We've had people tell us we will be fine here and people say go west. But it's gonna a mess trying to go west with rental cars and trying to find hotels and all the traffic.

I just saw that they are saying the storm should only skim the east coast so maybe it won't be too bad here in Orlando. I really don't know.

Be safe and please let me know how Orlando does. We're supposed to be flying out to Orlando tomorrow, but from the looks of it, it may not be happening.

Thanks man. The brunt of the storm shouldn't hit till late tomorrow night. But Friday is supposed to be a mess.
