I don't think I'd consider a Monster a soft drink, personally, but an energy drink. That being said, if you are trying to be one of those high and mighty people that brag about not drinking soft drinks, and yet you drink Monsters, that would be a problem. I drink both, though! I'm actually drinking one of those white Monsters as we speak!Comment

Re: Off Topic 2017: Facebook Meets Off Topic
I was at work the other day and was saying I haven’t had a soda in 3 years since I gave them up. At work I’ll drink one of those white monster energy drinks. The one with no sugar etc.
One of the guys says that counts as a soda because it has carbonated water. I said to me it doesn’t count as a soda. A soda would be something like coke, Dr Pepper, sprite etc.
Well a full blown argument happened because of this for some strange reason on what really is a sode, coke, soft drink or whatever you wanna call it. What do y’all think?

Hmmm...lots of coffee haters in here. I wonder why that is.

Nothing better than sitting on my back deck on a cool morning drinking coffee and either reading the paper or just in thought

Oh I’m certainly not high and mighty about it. We were just talking about it and they asked why I didn’t drink sodas. I told them I gave it up for lent one year and just sorta never took it back up. Then the guy said the thing about energy drinks and it spiraled downhill from there.

I'm staunchly anti-hot beverages. The only thing I'll make an exception for is hot white chocolate.Comment

I don't think I've ever seen a white chocolate drink, hot, cold, or otherwise.
I've gotta look for this.Comment

Ya it's something I kinda have to ask for specifically if I go to Starbucks or Coffee Bean. Just say "hot white chocolate" and if they look at you weird reiterate that you don't mean with coffee flavor in it too.Comment
