It's going to taper off by the time it get's here to the point where we will get 5 inches at most by Wednesday night but as usual because of the forecast the city is acting like it's the end of the world.

So because the local channels like to make it sound like the world is coming to an end I will have an awful commute because there is a little bit of white stuff on the ground.

I know what you mean man. The Cleveland news stations do the same thing making it sound like we've never gotten this type of storm. Where I live we usually get way more than Cleveland, especially the west side. East of Cleveland gets hammered (I'm like 50 miles east) and we are like so what and basically go about our business here.

I remember when I lived in Columbus and an inch of snow basically shut down the city. It's weird because Columbus doesn't get the same weather patterns we get here so it's almost like a southern city when it snows there.

That's how it is here around Louisville. It's snowing but it's very light and it's not accumulating due to the ground temperature being too warm. But that hasn't stopped the news stations from trying to send people into a panic because white stuff is falling out of the sky.

I learned to drive and got my first license when I lived in New Mexico. THEY freak out over a dusting. I can't understand how I'm a better driver in a little snow than a majority of people who've lived in PA their whole lives and I've lived in both sides of this state.

I'm not too far from Erie, PA and they average the second most snowfall of any city in the US. I do have to say they are pretty good about driving in snow there, but route 90 which runs right through my town and through Erie, everytime there is a big snow storm there seems to be a huge pile-up between my town and Erie. And it always pretty much comes down to ******* truck drivers going 65 in whiteout conditions and spinning out.

They've already lowered the speed limit in the turnpike to 45 and banned any empty trailers from traveling tomorrow and Wednesday (right thing to do).

And you're right, drivers from Erie are good, it's anything south of there that they suck.

The bad thing I'm expecting tomorrow is that there'll be bad weather, but not bad enough to use as an acceptable excuse for not showing up tomorrow. Don't wanna get it in my head there could be a chance I can stay home cause that'd make tomorrow worse if the weather isn't so bad.

You don't gotta be a kid to still want cheap excuse "sick day". Doesn't matter if you're 10 or 50, a partially legitimate reason to not have to go anywhere whether it be school or work is a reason nonetheless.

But funny hearing some people be like "(sarcastic fake cough) if im not here tomorrow, it's because I'm "sick"" lol.

No. Adults go to work when they can.

Depends where you work because some places do understand you not wanting to drive 1-2 hours(one way when you factor in traffic, slower speeds and next to 0 visibility) in a major snowstorm on the busiest highway in the country to get to work for that day.

I get being excited if worked shut down for weather though. We get no snow/ice here, if we even got a few inches, the city would shut down and I would be excited to miss a day of work haha.

Man the millennials that work for me struggle with the concept of coming to work.

                              The fight is real.

This reminds me of a guy that sits next to me at work...the guy has to be MADE to take PTO days, even though we lose them at the end of year.
