I know there's probably a thread about this but I was perusing Reddit and then I saw some stuff about EA. I did some research and HOLY CRAP ON A CRACKER!? People are going insane over the Battlefront II game to the point that they're planning a boycott of all things EA and it boils down to a challenge system?

I tell you, the instant reaction whether positive or negative is just insane in this day and age.

I don't know about a challenge system but BF2 is promoting a pay to win system and it rubs a lot of people the wrong way.

If I've put 50 hours in a game to level up but get beat by a guy who paid $100-200 to be levels higher than me without putting in the time, it can be frustrating if that occurs frequently.

I think it's a bit blown out of proportion as I dont think THAT many players would do it but the fight is more about the principal of the system and fighting it so it doesn't occur in other EA titles or even with other game publishers.

People go crazy in games like 2k and Madden with microtransactions so I imagine plenty of people would pay to unlock Darth Vader

I got a weird phone call this morning that was somehow tethered to somebody else at the same time, almost like a party line.

It was one of those pre-recorded message type deals for General Electric, but instead of me needing to talk the other guy started exclaiming, "Mang I told y'alls not to call mah house agin!" He hung up for me as well, apparently.

Don't know how that happens.

One time when my sister and I were still in school there was a storm one night and afterwards our phone line ended up being crossed with someone else's so until it was fixed sometimes we'd pick up our phone we'd hear another conversation going on. Ironically, that "someone else" who our line was crossed just so happened to be one of my sister's best friends so she was rather enjoying it. At one point my sister picked up the phone only to hear her friend already having a conversation with another friend so then my sister dialed another one of their friends from our line and they were having a 4-way conversation.

Ha, very interesting story! No, mine was a cellphone. The other person may have been on a landline though, and obviously the message was from one as well.
