So there's apparently a moose on the loose in suburban Toronto. They showed footage of it on my local 11:00 news.

Just a hunch, but I bet they find it nursing a Moosehead lager at a Leafs game.

Shut down town, a moose is on the loose.

If Anchorage shut down each time a moose was on the loose it would be about every day lol.

I did yard work this morning (getting up leaves, storing summer things in shed as fall/winter are upon us, etc..) and Sassy “helped” up until the last half hour. I went inside and found her like this lol

So Now and Later is a pretty good candy. I feel like it’s well respected. So I’m cruising the candy aisle at Rite Aid and I see this. “Now and Later SHELL SHOCKED”. I’m triggered. I snag a bag and... they’re alright. Like a less-hard-at-the-beginning Now and Later.

It’s a good candy. It’s just unremarkable. Honestly it’s a lot like the original.

What's different about the "shell shocked" version?

I mean, you said the candy is initially softer, which I'm thinking the opposite of a "shell shocked" rendition.

and it made me think of the old TMNT games "bury my shell at wounded knee" style

If we're on the topic of random crap you find in stores...anyone else try this holiday Salted Caramel Pepsi? It actually does have a salty and sweet caramel flavor. I don't know if I'd call it good but I was intrigued enough to finish the 20 oz.

It’s honestly not that much different. Now and Later has a weird hardness to it before it softens as you have it in your mouth. I feel like the shell shocked version had more of a, well, a shell coating you can crack through. Didn’t need to soak in your mouth as long before it became soft enough to chew.

For those that are giving or have given consoles as gifts the past 5 years or so - have any of you setup the console before giving it to the recipient?

I was reading an article on Polygon yesterday suggesting this and I feel conflicted about it. I can understand both sides, but personally I like the setup process of the console itself. On the flipside I hate buying/getting a new game and having to wait up to an hour to download patches and updates.

Two awesome class moments from my students:

- I was in a connecting room washing some trays (part of a photo development project we're doing), and when I came back I eventually brought up Chrome to my homepage... where I was Rick-rolled. The audio unit in my room was maxed out.

- I'll be filling in for the Mandarin teacher in the last period of the day. When I told my students I'd be subbing that class, a student asked: "We have that, but not a guitar class?" Another student responded, "Mandarin not mandolin, you dolt." Touché.
