Lol. I mean you’ll most likely be fine, but it’s rolling the dice for food borne illness.

I’d rather throw away a few dollars worth of food over getting food poisoning.

I was thinking so vainly that I thought you were prognosing me after eating my leftover meal, and was going to say: "Please, it was only 4:50."

Now that I realize it was the actual guy... 88 years old. Nice life. I think I know that name Roger Bannister as well, but made no such connection to any sort of running record.

Absolutely, I get it. I started reading around the web and it looked to be a coin flip. The thing is, it wasn't that much food, but it did cost a bit of money (I paid $30 for the overall meal, including tax and tip). It felt more like $12 than it did three bucks or so. I think that's what got me most.

At any rate, considering what all was in there, I felt like Subway leaves their crap out as well (avocado, cheese, egg, bacon, peppers, onions) all day and I eat that as well, you know? Maybe some of it isn't "cooked" in the same way that this restaurant cooked the stuff, but I feel optimistic about this one-timer.

Now the real problem is that if I do turn out fine, it will make me feel impervious to such things so that I will continue doing things like this until it really does get me. I shouldn't make this exception turn out to be a rule of sorts.

            Off-Topic 2018

Not quite the same conditions, Blzer. Those ingredients should be in a temperature controlled makeline in an appropriate container, also in a temperature controlled building.

Of course, those are ideal conditions.

I worked at a pizza place that had a malfunctioning and beat up makeline, containers that were probably from the 90’s (“cleaned” nightly by delivery drivers who didn’t feel like they should have to do it in the first place, sometimes the manager on duty) and one summer the A/C broke... I took a picture of the thermostat at 98 degrees one night. With a 450 degree oven on all day, the food preparation areas weren’t exactly the most clean. I’d come home drenched in sweat if I was working the cut zone off the oven. As nasty as it sounds, some of that sweat definitely dropped on to people’s prepared food. When realistically possible, I wouldn’t let that stuff get to the customer but I’m not gonna act like it didn’t sometimes. We’d be fired if we remade all those orders and lost all that revenue. But if a customer complained and that food came back as being tainted, someone would fall for that too. What do you do?

There’s the way things should be, and the way things are. A lot of different restaurants I worked in had questionable food safety practices. Most of these were big name, popular restaurants.

There’s definitely a degree of “we’ll see what happens” when you entrust other people to store, make, and serve your food. So to bring it back around, you’ve probably eaten worse kept/prepared food then those leftovers you ate.

            Sometimes ignorance is bliss!

Have been watching some old Friar's Club and Dean Martin Celebrity Roasts and the comedic talent is just so phenomenal. When you've got Jack Benny, Bob Hope, Nipsey Russell, Don Rickles, Jimmy Stewart, Lucille Ball, Freddie Prinze, George Burns, Johnny Carson, Alan King etc etc all on the same stage doing material it's almost too good.

The Bob Hope one is a personal favorite.

This week is spring break right? Have no idea when it is since it means nothing to me anymore.

Also, clocks change in about 24 hours from now.

You mean get someone to review your paper before you turn it in? Or asking to look at theirs before they turn it in?
