It was a nicer restaurant in Chattanooga TN (he is from) and I didn't want to be tacky and come over and interrupt his dinner. I tried to time it to where we left the same time and get a picture but didn't work out. I did manage to get a creepy photo from across the restaurant though

What I wanna know is how in the hockey sticks did the New Class outlast the original Saved By The Bell by well over 50 episodes. And I don't think I can recall the events of even 1 episode of New Class. The original, I'd probably remember them all, with a little prompting.

Saw him at a Clippers game once. He was huuuuuuuuuuuge.

Very nice though. Let us take a picture from afar, gave us a thumbs up if I recall.

Tomorrow is last time I'll get to see people I have seen on mostly daily basis for years. Weirdly enough, despite most of them being ones I have rarely(if ever) interacted with, they're still familiar names/faces, and still feels sad/weird moving on from all of this.

I'm usually the person who has been known to just "out of sight, out of mind" people and don't keep in touch, but for once I think (at least for now) it'll be sad moving on. One of those "you don't know how much you'll miss something until it's gone" things. Sometimes take things like this for granted, other times happy when day is over/weekend begins.

Probably won't even sink in for awhile that I've moved on/starting new chapter in life. Maybe sometime in May or June it'll sink in. I get nostalgic about things alot and usually just bury(forget about) the bad things/reminisce about good things when doing so, so once things sink in, I'm sure I'll start being like "I miss those days".

Today turned out to be more like just getting everything over with/heading into weekend, naturally forgetting it's more than just a weekend at this point.

Have been happy for the most part about how things have been going past 12-16 months, so now that all that is behind me, just hoping everything doesn't just revert back for me to how things were like beforehand. It's basically been one of those "1 step back,2 steps forward" things. Just hope the near future doesn't end up being "2 steps back,1 step forward" which just puts me back to where I started and erases any kind of progress I thought was being made.

If a company offers you $18/hr when the average the position title typically receives is about $30/hr give or take a few, would a fair counter offer be $24? Factoring in increased responsibility, typical figures for that position, and enough to lure me from my current job.

While it's not that much money overall especially here in LA, the title will allow me to earn more in the future. I figure with my "lack of" experience with that specific job title, countering at $24 will be fair.

Just don't want to scare them off. How high could I go in a counter to "fall" somewhere more desirable when all is said and done?

I've been pulled over four times for speeding and luckily only got one ticket. Was never asked to have my car searched and they wouldn't have found anything since I don't do any drugs. And that's because I was doing 90 on route 90 in Iowa. But the cop was cool and actually lowered the speed on the ticket so I didn't get hit with reckless driving. The other times all turned into a fun conversation about my dad being a cop or retired cop depending on the time I was pulled over. (Reason why the Iowa State Trooper dropped my speed.)

So that is always a good thing having that connection.

I feel like I'm missing something, if the standard is $30/hour why would you negotiate below that?

Probably because the standard includes being experienced at the job. Work your way up and all that.

Yeah mostly this. And if their offer is that low, I can't expect to actually jump that high without turning them off. 24 is commensurate with experience and still below market value. Trying to present it as a value for them too.

Let's say I initiate the stop and then I walk up and see the seatbelt is on properly and then see a dead body in his back seat. Caulfield looks at me and says "Why did you pull me over officer?". I tell him about the seatbelt and he states it was on the entire time and he has a recording device in his vehicle that shows his seatbelt was on. Police investigate the dead body and discover it's a murder and Caulfield is the suspect and the murder weapon is in the car and he confesses.

Everything is now thrown out in court. Everything. He walks free on a murder because all of the evidence would be suppressed due to a lack of reasonable suspicion on the initial traffic stop.
Are you serious? Surely they couldn't nullify evidence and a confession based on a technicality like that. That's the very definition of asinine.

Countering with $24 is fair if you make it known that you are aware that $30 is the standard.

It may sound ridiculous in this example, but the principle is a good one. And as a practice, its best not to decide things on a case by case basis. Rule of law and all that.
