You shouldn't lie if it is a lie that's too big for you, or makes you feel uncomfortable. I once said during an interview I was still working at the last place, where I wasn't working anymore at that point. The lady who interviewed me immediately mentioned the name of one of the top sales guys there, which I knew very well...
. Not sure how I reacted physically when it happened, but I tried to play it cool. I didn't get the job, so it could be because of that or another reason. It wasn't the best interview anyway.Like others have said, I never include months on my resume, that's TMI as far as I'm concerned. I even took months off of my LinkedIn account, though I was able to make it look decent.
You need to realize, that sometimes you can be the most dedicated employee and the best fit for the position, but no one would learn that because they may reject you for silly reasons, which you could "take care of" without much lying.
