actually yes, BUT, both dogs were together, side by side, so the cheese slice was chopped in half and applied to both, end to end


it's important to use a cheese that doesn't overmelt in the microwave, 2% kraft american will melt all over the place, but american velveeta will stay strong


pinch the dogs between your fingers in a way that is firm, but not overbearing, you wanna hold the dogs together without risking a slip up, or your plate is ruined

Overmelt? You can't have too much melt though. Melt is good in this context. If you are worried about your plates becoming permanently cheesed, try putting the hot dogs in the microwave by themselves and adding the buns/cheese for that final 20 seconds or so. The buns will catch any stray cheese "overmelt." Or you can put the cheese on the bun directly and put it in the toaster oven. Just cheeseballing here.

My wife does that too. I'm not a big fan of them in my mac and cheese but that's what usually leads to adding an addition hot dog to the menu for the dog.

For the circumstances of eating a hot dog like it should be eaten, no I haven't.

Is this also in a bun with ketchup, mustard and relish? Or are you talking about something that would resemble a side dish of sliced kielbasa?
