Lol. That is the main reason for me. (Other than the women thing of course). I get a 5 o'clock shadow at 9am, so i just finally let my beard win.

The reason I have a beard (normally) is because I'm too lazy to shave. My shaving routine is: once, early January. once, early April. once, early July. once, early October. rinse, repeat when January rolls around. I never got around to shaving this July so it will be October before I do it again. Unless a strong bout of laziness hits again. In which case it could be next year before anyone can sees my chinny chin-chin

So basically you are practicing quarterly pruning. That can lead to having the envy of all beards.

They have professionals that do this too. Here is an example i found online. I encourage you to research the company that is best for you.

It actually doesn't take much at all. At least not for me. If my beard starts looking bad, I immediately know it - because my wife pulls on it and i don't like how that feels. Lol. But upkeep is still 10x less than shaving for it to still look good. Others may prefer a perfectly manicured metro-beard, which may take up more time. Some beards may be more unruly than mine, but mine was raised up right. I rarely have to discipline it.

Mine gets a trim once a week just so it isn't too long and that's it.

I think he means the guys/divas who make it more of a "lifestyle" thing where they grow it long mostly for attention and then buy all kinds of products to put in it.

For most people, trimming once every week or two is really the only beard upkeep needed. It's actually the opposite of a metrosexual thing in that we lazy, manly types spend much less time on grooming. I shudder at the thought of ever going back to shaving on a daily basis.

Oh ok, then yeah from that perspective i completely agree. I was taking it as all beard wearers. My wife's friend's husband does the lifestyle/product thing and i completely agree with dubcity there.
