              re: Off-Topic

I mentioned it in Steve's forum but want to see if anyone here knows about it.

When posting in a textbox on this site, when I used to use Firefox, the codes would be applied in the box itself (so if I bolded part of a post, it'd show up bolded in the box). On Chrome however, when I enter anything in the box, the code will appear around whatever text I selected.

Is there a reason for this? And anyone who uses Chrome, does this happen to you too, or have you been able to get the textboxes to code things automatically.

In the user options I saw WYSIWYG editor describing what should happen (WYSIWYG editor, which allows you to format your text as you want it and see the results immediately). I have that option on, but it just doesn't seem to work on Chrome for me.

I didn't know the best place to put this, but I had to share this gem somewhere. If you're a fan of slow-pitch softball, the amazing melodies and powerful voice of the great Michael Bolton, and/or long hair on guys... this video is for you.

                  Anybody have sleep apnea ?

I don't know if I have it or not because I haven't been to a doctor for any kind of diagnosis, but ever since I got out of the Navy I've been snoring really, really bad. My wife says sometimes I get choked up and quit breathing.

I don't really notice it, but I think it was developed because of the Navy. I would go to sleep some nights knowing something was going to break and I was going to be right back out of my rack and fixing it so I was constantly falling asleep and waking myself right back up before finally dozing off.

I also sleep super hard now and hear nothing when in the past before the Navy I would wake up to the slightest sound. It's not bothering me too much, but I have kids and I don't want something to happen in our house at night and me not wake up and it's disturbing my wife's sleep.

I also can't even do something like cat nap in the recliner anymore because I snore so loud my wife says she can't hear the TV so she's always waking me up. It's just an all around inconvenience and frustrating and it seems to be getting worse, but I mostly just have to take her word for it.

I don't want to have to make going to sleep a ****ing chore by wearing some sort of device. I don't want to not be able to just fall asleep spontaneously like sleep on a plane and always have to plan it out.

                    re: Off-Topic

Probably doesn't help you, but apparently I snore when laying on my back as opposed to on my side. Have you changed your sleeping position since leaving the Navy?

As far as sleeping harder, that can be triggered by a lot of things. For instance, my mom became a much lighter sleeper after she started having children, and since having my sister 25 years ago she has become a heavier sleeper over time again. Though, since then she has also changed other things in her life, especially since my dad passed away (she works now, naps at times, and I know she puts the TV on when going to sleep). Though in your case, I wonder if it's simply your snoring that is drowning out the otherwise smaller sounds you would normally wake up to?

Note to self AGAIN, if there's an item on Amazon, check the price history of it. If it's at a lower period, BUY IT RIGHT AWAY! I had something I was gonna buy earlier in the week, but decided to hold off until weekend(so I could make shipping date be next Monday or Tuesday, and I didn't want standard delivery option). Check back today and it's 40% more.

The item I mentioned a few days back, it's now 25% more than the time I contacted the sellers about the product.

lol, on that hockey note, random ones I've thought of all just start with 'Canadian____'.

I want it to be good and meaningful and one that won't seem weird in months/years from now. Simplest change I've thought of is just making it "Maj".
