I've got it, but I just use it as normal YouTube.

I don't ever watch any of the Premium-exclusive shows.

        A "noise etiquette" question:

How late is too late to be plowing snow (not city plows, but just regular people on their property)?

I get that people come home late/leave early so night/early morning might be only time they have to do it, but surely using a snowplow on your driveway at midnight is abit much? Especially after a snowfall that was under a foot of snow, so cars can still get out of their driveway without plowing it.

That counts as machinery, same as a lawn mower, leafblower, power tools and so on.

This requires more detail (like how much snow? how long is the driveway? etc) to give a real answer...but also, since it's not my neighbor, I don't really care.

Basically, I'd put snow removal higher on the priority list than something like yard maintenance so if my neighbor's out late to get a jump on it, I'm not gonna worry about it too much.

I read that the EU is scrapping daylight savings time. Decision is now whether they want to keep summer or winter time.

If they ever do in Canada/US, I wonder how that'll go. Do people want summer or winter time all year?

I'd prefer to keep the time change, but if I had to choose between one and the other, much as it pains me to say it, I'd have to choose the winter time.

I like my late summer evenings, but I have to think of the kids. Can't start classes at 8:00 and still being relatively dark out there. Dangerous for those walking to school.

Then again, that's why they should just keep it as is.

It's not "summer" or "winter" time. It's Daylight and Standard time.

Keep standard time. Daylight is the manufactured one.

This was a non-issue when I was in Japan because there is no DST and life is easier because of it.

I do too. I just can't get as much stuff done with shorter daylight hours. By the time I get home from work/school and pick up kids from daycare or whatever it's damn near dark.

Summer-clocks all year-round. I've been saying this for as long as I can ever remember. How is having more sunlight in the afternoon a bad thing for anyone? Even schoolkids (which, by the way, there's no actual evidence as far as I know that DST was started because of dark mornings being a safety issue for kids).

All time is manufactured time. It's not like the non-DST time is somehow more "natural" than any other created system of keeping time. Maybe short of a sun-dial or something...

I think we should go back to hieroglyphics. It’d make time more fun...like yeah I got an appointment when the arrow lands on the human/fox/centaur hybrid
