    re: Off-Topic

This isn't much of a building update but I thought this was interesting:

Maniac across the hall threw his girlfriend's belongings off the balcony into the snowy parking lot. This isn't shocking because all they do is fight, but isn't the female usually the one that tosses the male's belongings over the ledge?

He then complained to his cohort down the hall that the person who picked his girlfriend up didn't give him a ride to the store lol

We had a Toy Story marathon yesterday at my house. Took the day off as my son was sick. I ALWAYS cry in TS3 when the toys are on the conveyor close to being burned alive. And then I cry again when Andy gives all his toys to Bonnie. My wife always makes fun of me that I'm a big sap when it comes to movies. What movies always gets you going?

A few others of mine off the top of my head are:

      Rudy
The Wedding Singer - Scene when Robbie sings to Julia on the airplane.
A Christmas Story - Scene when Ralphie gets his rifle.
      E.T.
      Dead Poet's Society

In terms of saddest movie moments, I'm saying Lion King. I don't think I even have to mention the moment and I'm sure everyone knows which one I'm talking about.

Another sad moment for me is Harry Potter (final movie) when: (big spoilers)

Flash is the only show that can make me cry consistently, probably because I'm such a fan of the comics and seeing it actually happen just kills me.

Anytime his mom is on screen, when his dad died, when he sacrificed himself to the Speed Force to save the world. There's SEVERAL more but those are the ones that stick out.

Good question. I cry quite a bit with movies, so this list could be really long, but I'll limit it.

Rudy as well. When he gets the sack at the end of the movie, the well opens.

Like Jr., any dog tragedy gets me. I bawled like a baby in the theater toward the end of Marley and Me. One scene hit entirely too close to home for me.

My eyes usually get a little misty at the end of Saving Private Ryan when he asks his wife to tell him he's a good man.

EDIT: As for tv show ones, the first one to come to my mind is the episode of The Fresh prince with Will's dad.

Off the top of my head:

                            Charlotte's Web
                            Prancer

I know there's a fair amount more, but those are the ones that stand out.

Almost anytime a goofy show gets real or a character from a show I've watched for a long time gets hit with serious emotions. Random examples:

Futurama with Fry's brother, and his dog
The Office when Michael tells Pam he's proud of her art (also when Michael and Holly are on the roof after they're looking for him and he looks at her and says "I missed you so much")
Shameless when Frank was doing Monica's eulogy

It's almost always when comedy shows flip the switch, I can't think of too many dramas that get me.
