    re: Off-Topic

I was reading online and found a possible explanation to the issue I've been having lately with products I want to buy suddenly jumping 10-20% not too long after viewing it. Apparently it's done on purpose based on things like cookies and you could actually get different prices by using different devices to view it. Incognito mode seems to be a tool to help against that so you can browse without having price jump up.

Not just talking amazon. Even a regular retail store, I was viewing an item last night. Looked again this morning and suddenly on the site I was on, price went up 10%. No, the item wasn't even on sale last night. It was the regular price. I know amazon does it, but never knew regular stores would do this, especially on a weekend.

I'm definitely trying incognito mode when browsing for items. See if that makes a difference.

There should also be a rule or law against raising prices before a sale. Lets say an item usually costs $50. The store suddenly raises it to $75 for a week, then puts it on a 35% sale. Acting like you save so much when in reality it's $1 different from real regular price. Groceries I notice do this alot. And "hide" some items when on sale, suddenly having a full stock again the day after sale ends.

I don't know where to post this but I've brought back my twitch stream. I most stream franchise modes. Right now FIFA and Madden. Where would be the best place to let people know when I'm live? I was thinking the dynasty section but I don't want to make a thread for each one. Do you think a thread in the "Other Dynasties" section would be fine? I figured off topic would the best bet to ask first before starting a thread in a wrong spot.

Thanks for any help! And happy Pi Day!

You can put a link to it in your signature. I think a lot of them use twitter to let their followers know when they're going live.

I was thinking of starting a thread so users here would know when I was live. but I'll just go with the sig link right now. If it retro actively updates, then I'll just write in when I'm live.

So I was reminded why I don't go to Costco very often, ended up buying a whole load of stuff I didn't really need.

I've only been to a Costco once and it was crazy. Next to IKEA, its easiest to get lost in. Taking advantage of people thinking buying in bulk saves money when majority of that bulk they don't need to begin with.

So many people shopping, lines are so long, parking lots are a mess, and the wait at gas station, while you might be saving money at the pump, the amount of time you're spending waiting probably offsets part of the savings.

Costco is wonderful. But I have discipline.

Many times I've walked in and purchased the item I came for and that's it.

Never been to a Costco, Wal Mart owns the county here, about 8-10 stores including SAMS.

Most times I just get things on Amazon. I have Amazon Prime, so I can get most of it within a day or two anyways.

Obviously when it comes to things like groceries and clothes, that requires going to store, but most other things I'd look at Amazon first for convenience/price (it helps using the price tracker, so if something I want seems abit high, I can see what prices it usually is and can afford to wait days/weeks to save 20-40%).

Not including groceries or clothes, last big product I can remember that required me not online shopping was probably....actually I can't remember lol. Part of it is because I do order most things online, other part is that I simply don't need so many things (and keep things I do have in good condition).

I don't know, unless it's something like an electronic purchase (like a TV), I just can't justify to myself going to stand in the line for only an item or two.

But to be fair, our Costco is such a pain in the *** to go to to begin with that we only go there when we absolutely need to buy some things in bulk.

Back at the hospital again. My Dad was rushed to the ER via ambulance yesterday due to difficulty breathing and chest tightness.

Long story short he had excess fluids that were around his heart and in his lungs.

My Dad was essentially drowning in himself. Thankfully and by Gods will, my Dad is now stable after the excess fluid was removed via dialysis.

He is still in ICU but is stable, alert, and communicating.

We learned yesterday that his oxygen level was so low that circulation was coming to a halt and vital organs were nearing shut down

Hopefully we’ll get out here soon as I’ve had my fill of hospitals for the year
