Maybe I'm naive over here but it looks like a garage pull to me? My parents' basement garage used to have one very similar.

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.

4 shootings in 4 days, 1 dead, 1 in critical condition in Seattles organized protest zone.

      You're doing it wrong, people.

okay, so I get Lady Antebellum and the Dixie Chicks changing their name, but Diamond Dave? c'mon man. did I use that correctly? (I'd link the story about David L. Roth, but I'm browsing the web through my PlayStation) next thing you'll hear, Bruce Lee will henceforth be retroactively known as Bruce Li.

and speaking of Dixie Chicks, I wonder how well calling themselves the Chicks will go over with the Me Too'ers lol

The word Chicks will offend more people the word Dixie will especially with females. I'm a hardcore country music fan so I follow the industry very closely. The only reason they changed their name is to get press for their album that came out today. It had nothing to do with anything else despite the marketing spin.

Total PR move, but it worked so I can't hate it. Gotta do what you can to keep your name out there.

                  Random gaming question:

Is a "Southpaw" stick control scheme really designed for lefty gamers, as in most left-handed people prefer navigating in that way? Or is it simply an alternative that some people just prefer, regardless of handedness?

On another front, I was just telling my friend the other day that all shooters should absolutely provide a "Legacy" stick control scheme option (like normal, only you turn with the left stick and strafe with the right stick). I don't think it's too unbecoming of developers to include that as an option; instead it just comes off as ignorance IMO.

There actually already is/was a "Bruce Li". In the years after Bruce Lee's success and death, an innumerable amount of second-rate Bruce Lee clones with shady rip-off names like "Bruce Li" and "Bruce Le" released wave after wave of cut-rate chop-socky flicks meant to capitalize on even the vaguest connection to the legendary Bruce Lee. One can spend an entire quarantine watching these dubious characters' kung-fu flicks and come away with a newfound appreciation for how much better the original was than all the subsequent clones put together.

This pretty much goes for a lot of what's going on now. It's like the virtue-signaling Super Bowl.

Although, as others have pointed out, it does seem to be working (temporarily), as I had no idea they still existed. Or that "albums" were still released in this day and age.

Anyone ever convert old slides to digital? My mom was just given a bunch of them and while she's reminiscing over people I don't know, I thought it'd be nice to bring these things to the present day for her.

I'm thinking my options are to find and dig out my old flatbed scanner (and hope the never-used slide accessories are still with it) or...try an app? I tried this app called SlideScan - it's one of those where you hold the slide up to a white screen as a backlight, then use the phone to take a pic of it and it applies some post-processing cleanup. I'm happy with the results so far but it's just time-consuming lining things up and taking the pics.

Then I look on Amazon and see these small tabletop devices that you load four or five slides on a tray, insert the tray and take photos that save to an SD card. It's still one at a time but you don't have to worry about holding the slide or camera straight so I'm thinking that's a plus.

This all came out as a stream of consciousness, so basically...anyone have any experience with any of this stuff?
