LivePD being a thing people watched always felt to me like something out of a dystopian Scifi movie, where the message is that people have lost all their humanity and they get their kicks by watching people ruin their lives. Not quite Running Man, but still not my idea of fun.

The last time I watched Cops I just felt dirty and not at all enjoyed any of those arrests much less find it entertaining.

I thought Cops stopped 20 years ago, I've been watching nothing but re-runs from the 90s on antenna TV. The fact that the show was actually still around to get cancelled blew my mind

So it wasn't just me? I've never watched more than a few minutes but I legit thought they've just been showing old episodes for years.

Last time I watched COPS was when it use to be on Fox at night.


To each their own, I never got the appeal of shows like Forensic Files and etc.

Whoa whoa, COPS and Forensic Files aren't in the same genre. COPS is just trashy reality TV, FF is a true crime show about how forensic science (DNA, fingerprinting, splatter analysis etc.) has been used in real court cases to determine the guilty party.

Which isn't to say that I'm above it, while I never watched COPS (I don't even know where they show re-runs), I have dabbed in on LIVE PD once or twice. At least speaking for myself, I saw it to try to understand how police behave and what I would or would not do in those situations.

The true crime shows always creeped me out. I remember working graveyard shifts at my job and that would always be on at like 4 am in the break room. People sitting there half asleep watching actual security camera footage of a truck driving away with a corpse in the trunk. I just can't.

True crime shows will be around forever, there's too much interest. The adjustment they're making is adding segments about the mourning families and celebrating the lives of the deceased.

Fortunately, glorifying the killers is slowly being removed. Too slowly, but still

Maybe they could help get BYU back to where they were in 1984 or at least help bring in their next Ty Detmer, someone capable of winning a Heisman. ‘‘good boys, good boys, what ya gone do when the Cougars come for you, good boys, good boys’’.

I find it a bit ironic that Huff rants about wearing a mask while sitting in his car and using his seat belt.
