So some of my former students who just graduated HS reconnected with me on Facebook, almost like an arranged ordeal from a bunch of them, which I thought was really cool. I thought it would be good to go through my old roster and find a few more of them through the ol' search bar.

Sadly, one of the accounts I ran across was a memorialized page for a student of mine, who was apparently murdered by her boyfriend in March of 2018. He was caught and arrested 15 months after the fact. I hadn't heard about this until not just ten minutes ago.

It's going to be hard to try and sleep tonight, thinking about her innocent face in my class and knowing that a bad person took her from this world.

we had so many more forklift simulation options back then, especially the college versions

I'm glad Forklift University (especially FU2) was shelved. you have no idea how many amateur forklift operators were deprived of their rightful pallets just because.
