Yeah, I mean we aren’t playing a time or moves limit so I wasn’t sure. We stopped playing because of the Lakers game, but we just weren’t sure what that was really called. I mean I made about ten moves on him before we were like: “Eh, let’s just end it here.”

I've had this happen in those old Windows chess games. Most times I do eventually win, but I think sometimes it ends in a draw (if those rules are correct) because I don't get them into check, but they eventually can't move anymore, somehow that happens.Comment

I was gonna rip his heart out. I'm the best ever. I'm the most brutal and vicious, the most ruthless champion there has ever been. No one can stop me. Lennox is a conqueror? No! I'm Alexander! He's no Alexander! I'm the best ever. I'm Sonny Liston. I'm Jack Dempsey. There's never been anyone like me. I'm from their cloth. There is no one who can match me. My style is impetuous, my defense is impregnable, and I'm just ferocious. I want his heart! I want to eat his children!
yeah, I realised that back when I first noticed Kirby Puckett was born in 1960 and Joe Mauer was born in 1983. also interesting to note, apparently the great majority of Twins don't even have the same parents. huh, go figureOSFM23 - Building Better Baseball - OSFM23

And poor Bert Blyleven, he was a twin, then for a while he wasn't, and then he was again, and then he wasn't, and now he is.Comment

something occurred to me earlier today, in 20-25 years there will be people reminiscing about this period in time as their ''good old days''. I'm sure people did it about the 1930's also too as well.Originally posted by dubcityBurt "be home" Blylevin?OSFM23 - Building Better Baseball - OSFM23

But really, it's crazy to think that one day we'll be those old people on the couch that a future generation will have to talk to for a school project to find out "what was life like back then".Comment

Re: Off-Topic
Last day of 2020 is finally here! A year we'll obviously never forget for the rest of our lives.
Funny looking at New Years Eve and seeing how much it used to mean to me. As a kid, this was obviously the only time I could ever stay up past midnight. Seemed like such a cool thing to do.
Nowadays it's like "big deal...new years eve is just another day I stay up past midnight, except more people do it on this specific night"
If anything, I probably get more tired on NYE and fall asleep "earlier" than I do on regular nights because NYE feels like I'm keeping myself up for something specific rather than just staying up.Comment
