After the second time Will yelled, Chris went "I could...", caught himself, and moved on.

What was he going to say? We'll probably never know. But he definitely had a 'this is the wrong time for that' moment in his head.

If you're at an event where they are handing out gift bags worth >$100K then I think the etiquette changes a bit but these folks play by different rules than most of us so I was trying not to put much thought into it and just laugh.

A while back I was actually starting to feel the same way about Will and Jada as I did Chrissy Teigen and John Legend. I know more than I have ever intended to know about them. I just kept getting hit with unsolicited information about their private life every time I opened the bird app.

I'm not coming to fight the internet for any of these rich people and I just wanted to laugh at the memes but I have to log on and see some people generalizing about how a comedian who I have never heard of and had to google has an opinion that speaks for all white people.. wut?

I find the whole 1 person out of 300 million on a social media app speaks for everyone kind of generalizing to be really exhausting and lazy. I wish **** like this could happen and we all just laugh about it but oh well.

The old days of twitter before the politicians and serious people came over were so much better than how all of this algorithm based stuff works now. You can get beat over the head by a bunch of bad takes over and over. I would like to get away from it but it's basically a staple in keeping up with sports now.

Best Buy is consolidating their rewards program all into one single tier as of May 3, 2022.

This likely means bye bye to 45-day returns, free two-day shipping, bankable and multiplier points on purchases, 6% back with Best Buy credit card, special access events, and dedicated phone/chat lines.

First they ditch the amazing premier silver membership, then GCU gets neutered, now this? Farewell, Best Buy. I've been loyal to you for twenty years, and I think that loyalty has just broken apart effective immediately.

They actually found that most people who were Elite Plus status earned it on one long purchase and didn’t really make additional purchases, as opposed to Best Buy credit card holders.

The idea makes a little bit of sense, but it's interesting that people wouldn't make additional purchases though with the perks that come into play. That is what would keep me coming back and purchase more things, personally. I purchase there less now because I'm less incentivized to.

And premier silver used to be $2500 a year until they dwindled that down.

Most people reach that status by purchasing kitchen package or do something TV/Audio related or maybe a new Macbook. People who have the card are generally more loyal.

I also don't understand why it's necessarily a problem if people come in and only achieve elite status with 1 purchase. Best Buy still made the sale and there still were people like me who chose BB over Amazon because of the points. Scaling back the rewards program mean I won't automatically look to BB first for a product.

Well if you don't have the card, you were only getting 1% in points anyway, or 1.25%, maybe 1.5% at Elite Plus. You'll still get the same 1% now.

If you were an elite plus member then you would receive 1.5 points (2.5%) back in rewards. Now those people are only getting 0.5 points (1%) back. On the $3500 it took to qualify for that level, you would get back about $87 in rewards. Going forward the the same kind of spending only gets you $17. So nearly all incentive is gone.
