Seriously? Mocking the people that use your forum? What an excellent way to treat everybody here. Who cares if this is where people come to get their news? It probably means they wouldn't really read the news anywhere else so at least they were getting it somewhere.

I do have to agree on this point though. I'm sure there are a few people on here (but not too many) that probably would have a lesser idea of what is going on in the world if not for EE, but oh well. Bookmark www.cnn.com kiddies, you'll need it.

You are not "paying" to help the site. You "donated", which was an unexpected offering. You donated that money to OS fully aware that you would receive nothing in return.

We have no interest in offering "Insider" content.

We donated to a place that had an EE forum, which, like most people have said, is largely responsible for providing a sense of community and knowing your fellow posters here at OS. This would be like donating to PBS and then watching them throw your favorite program off the air only to tell you, "Hey, you donated to keep us on the air, you can't tell us what to do."

Never expected this decision. Wow.

Anyways, I'm not going to miss the EE forum. A year or two ago, maybe. But I wasn't in there as much this year.

Sully & Co. did what they had to do. I don't blame them at all.

You believe that strongly, be a man and do something. Start your own board, and invite 30,000 people over to play.

If that happened, you would have the right to complain and never donate again. You wouldnt have the right to demand that it stays on the air or have some input on what PBS shows.
