It will not turn into the EE forum. Creating topics that aren't forum specific is considered spamming, and is a violation of the TOS.

I think thats what his point was (that people would treat it as the EE forum and would require more work) but I'm not sure.

You came here for news? Really? Not MSNBC, CNN or even Yahoo. But OS?

Yea I would always find out about ALL my world news coming here and then getting links to the cnn or abc websites to the real articles, plus it was always interesting getting everyones opinons on the big stories.

Also going to miss those pointless news threads that would give me a chuckle..like earlier today with the internet dating (the kid and the mom.)

Unless you understand the behind the scenes makeup of the site... the time and effort that goes into running it... and the vision for the future... I don't blame you for a second for being thrown off. Especially those of you who use that site as a crutch to the outside world...

Hey... I would be willing to bet that I have more posts in the EE Forum than anyone else on this site (maybe Heel). I posted in it EVERYDAY. There are parts of it that I will miss.

But, again... it's not personal.

Ok, can you share your vision of the future of OS with the rest of us? Does it involve moving away with the community aspect of OS?

You guys are joking, right? You can't be serious. There is no way a forum can survive solely based on sports. Now I love watching, playing, and talking about sports just as much as the next guy, but that is not all I like to talk about.

I came to this site because i wanted to converse with other people about sports and other various topics. You getting rid of the EE forum, leaving only forums to talk about sports, is like telling me that when you talk to your friends all you talk about is sports and how much you love them. Now i don't beleive that is what you do. If you do only talk about sports, try getting out more, so you can talk about other topics. Don't limit a forum to sports only, it's just dumb.

This forum will definately suffer with the removal of the EE forum.

Never say never... but EE will never return in its ORIGINAL form.... maybe in its INTENDED form... but.... who knows.

Sure, smartass... we envision a place where people who just got out of The Cell for being a jackass don't come out 3 days later and start again. We figured getting rid of the community would help that.

Actually i've been at this site for over 2 years. Mainly I just read other peoples posts. Then I decided to register and share my viewpoints. And trust me i'm not new to the internet, nor am I new to forums.

every other site i visit has an off topic thread . that will be missing here . from gamespot to niketalk. they arent just places to talk about shoes and games. variety is important. i dont understand how its really that hard to run a board that has an offtopic thread . those places have more than double the members yet do it with ease .

Those changes will be discussed amongst the Staff if we ever decide to reinstate it.
