There is a Grey area with the rule of personal life in the forum.... I run a record label, does that mean i can't discuss the happenings of my company in there....it's entertainment, but it's still about my life. What about the threads about people who want others on here to listen to their music for opinion, it's the entertainment world, but still personal......

Yeah but you guys always reinstate them or they still come back (not saying its a bad thing becuase it also happened to me).

You'd be surprised about how many are banned and not allowed back.

Ok, good point, lol. But the sporadic nature of the MOD's locking decisions make it difficult to tell what is and isn't fair game, I guess that was my intended point. There are 235 different posts about girls, then MagicBucsWolves goes and posts one the other day and it is immediately locked. Was it any different than the others that were allowed to run for pages and pages?

But that would still be personal so you would have to ask something like: Which is the best type of computer to fit so and so criteria?

That's pretty much what i had before. It was "suggest a notebook computer" and I told my story about what I'd like in a computer... I guess that's "personal" though... weird.

What happened to banning people? I'm sure you still do that right? If the post are dumb there usually cycled out by good post that people participate in.

Is this decsion for population control on this site? This can definitley hinder people who have been here for years to come to the site. I read reviews all the time, info on other games, but a lot of times i come to see what is on peoples minds. I'm sure that attracts people to the site. Isnt' the whole idea is to have a large community on the site and show sponsers that you have many members visiting? I don't know, i don't run sites or forums but i'm sure you want as many members as possible.

Hopefully it is temporary and this scares everybody because it does suck. You don't know what you have until you lose it, right? Well thanks for listening and hope everything goes well

Good point... there is too much grey area in that... we probably shouldn't have the Entertainment forum either since it's so difficult to understand.

On a serious note, from reading this thread alone lets some see that EE was the major point of this site. I came here for the video game stuff and will continue to post about video games and stuff pertaining to it. Because thats what this site is best for.....the best sports video game critics around!!!

Now if keep the Kobe talk to a minimum we can still have the basketball thread!!!

Also, I'm sure there is some coding where you can ban people from certain forums. You did it with husker and OHguy for college football. Ban the people who disrupt the EE forum and it's fine.

Bring the EE forum back, make a post saying if you do something against the TOS, you're banned. It's as simple as that, if people don't want to follow the rules, get them out of here but to delete the entire EE forum was too much.

In your opinion it was too much. In my opinion, it was the right thing to do. We have been banning people who violated the TOS in every forum (especially EE), for years. It has done nothing to stop the decline of the EE forum.

I know there is coding to prevent people from seeing certain forums, husker and OHguy had that for college football. Why couldn't that be done here?
