Drastic is an understatement.

This truly ruins OS, it was the "community" that really made OS great, now that it is gone, it's just another forum.

Like Clay said, it won't make a difference if you protest because this is a private site and the Administrators make all of the decisions, so whatever we say isn't going to hold much value (not trying to get banned, just explaining that it doesn't make a difference).

I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt that you are irrationally reacting emotionally... but the Everything Else forum was not what made OS or the Community great. The mature, usually intelligent posters did... start acting like one again.

Come on, Acid. Dude... of all people... if you think this forum is going to all of a sudden suck because the EE forum is gone... come on.

Clay, I'm with Acid on this one, the EE was the glue of this website, when something big in the world went down, I didn't check any other sites, I checked EE, when I wanted to post something about the world around me I didn't go to any other site I went to EE, when I wanted an answer to my questions I didn't go to any other site I went to EE. EE fourm was great because it was a community all by itself, if yall did what you feel is best for OS so be it, I'm just afraid that after today our membership drops by quite a few.


OS, and Everything Else Forum was my home on the internet, now I feel like OS lost a part of itself that it'll never get back.

This reminds me of how I felt when McDonald's got rid of the McPizza...

Just imagine if they got rid of the Quarter Pounder w/cheese or the 99 cents menu entirely because the cheese or fries respectively didn't taste right.

I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt that you are irrationally reacting emotionally... but the Everything Else forum was not what made OS or the Community great. The mature, usually intelligent posters did... start acting like one again.

Come on, Acid. Dude... of all people... if you think this forum is going to all of a sudden suck because the EE forum is gone... come on.

I'm serious here.

I first started coming here for rosters and games sure, but I kept coming back because of the community. It's sounds cheesy I know, but it was what made this forum fun. I don't want to be restricted on posting just about sports or sports videogames, people venting, people asking for suggestions on things they should do in certain situations, that was interesting and led to the best discussions in my opinion. I don't want to listen to people bitching about defensive back AI, I want to hear people talking about something that happened in their life. The videogame discussions have gotten old, it's recycled year after year, that's why I very rarely visit those forums. Now, I guess I'll have to, since I can't do anything else on OS anymore.

How am I not being mature? I'm throwing my opinion out there, that I am entitled to. I'm not bashing everything left and right, I'm discussing this in a civil way. If I wanted to, I could put a swastika as my avatar and call you all Nazi's. Am I doing that? No.

This forum WILL suck with the EE forum gone. There is no sense of community now, except for Steve's "What's Up?" threads. Which, I guess should be stopped too.

Kind of sucks I would say EE forum really made this a community. It really made you feel like you knew some of the people here. I think it is a pretty stupid decsion it kind of makes me/us feel like kids, but oh well it is just an internet site that I probally won't visit quite as much.

Part of what makes it great is the fact that there was a wide variety of topics that these smart, mature posters could talk about. I'm not going to say that the world is going to end and that this board will suck but it is a lot different. If the discussions on here were only limited to sports and video games then we probably would never know how great a lot of the posters are.

Well, I'm sad that the EE forum is gone because I enjoyed a lot of the jokes and stuff that were posted. But I mainly enjoyed it for the entertainment purposes, so I'm glad we have a entertainment forum.

But I do have a request if possible. Is it possible to merge in some of the threads like the HDTV thread and some of the other popular entertainment threads. I realize it is a lot of work to find them, but maybe the most popular ones aren't hard to find, like the Lost discussion, upcoming movies, etc. I know new ones have been created but It's a shame that all those discussions are gone. Not really the Lost discussion, but losing the HDTV one loses a lot of information. I'm sure we can build up some more threads like the Lost and movie ones, but some of them like the HDTV one would be nice to have transferred to the entertainment forum if possible.

Moving the stickied theads takes like 10 seconds (max) each so I'm sure they won't mind.

Actually bringing back the LOST Season 2 thread would be great, I know I started another one but the old one back would be great.

Your opinion is out there. If OS isn't good enough anymore without EE... I'm sorry. And, in all seriousness, I like you Acid... I'd be sorry if this caused you to leave. But, we (the Staff) who have been here for over 5 years in some cases have to think about what's best for the site. Sometimes it's not popular. It may cost us Poster. It's our decision. Your opinion is duly noted. It's not personal.
