General "slow down" will occur during peak times. I think that is what you're likely experiencing. It is probably the large FIFA 09 shots being downloaded.

OS's slowdown right now sucks bad. It is the main reason I do not come here too much anymore.

Do not know what it is but is slower than hell. I have this place, and two others that I go to regularly.


This place got damn near 10 times slower than the other two.


When you click where you want to go, you see a million things loading in the bottom left hand corner. It sucks.

What browser are you using?

Are you using an ad blocker of any type?

Are you using some kind of anti-spyware or internet scanning software? If so, what is it called?

it seems a bit slower to me too.

there are 2 things that I notice in the bottom left hand corner while it hangs a bit.

1. says "a.collective-media.net"
2. says "read.gamercard.xbox."

Weird..I haven't had any issues with the site (knock on wood).

Are you all seeing the slow loads at certain hours every day or what? Don't feel like reading through 8 pages

I've noticed that Adblock Pro has been shutting itself off for this site at times. I know why the admins hate those programs, but honestly when it isn't being used these forums are slower than molasses for me, usually being bogged down by ads.

The slow down for me is unbearable, for some reason it takes like 30 seconds to load a page regularly, thats if I'm lucky. Usually the page will load to the "The Server is Overloaded blah blah try again later" page. So I refresh, and it goes to white, then white again, then I refresh and usually get the server page. And finally, usually on the fifth refresh, I'll get the page I want to view. This happens when I post, PM, and just plain view the boards, it is very frustrating. When I log off I have no problems, so it makes me question who OS is putting first here haha, members or guests. Sheesh I blame this on NCAA 09 but man, I'm not looking forward to Madden.

You've been experiencing this for how long approximately? This is the first complaint of severe slow down we've received during the entire NCAA release period. From my perspective things have been running well, so I'm interested to hear how long that has been happening for.

Well right now I'm experiencing absolutely no slow down, its like things are back to normal. I kinda wish I posed that earlier haha. But um it started I think the 14th but I figured that it was just because of release and everyone had the problem, but like 3 days later I asked someone and they said that they are not experiencing anything, so that was weird. So for 5 days I had that slow down but everything is fine for now.

I (and about 5 or so friends I brought to OS hardly come here as much) because it has been unbearable as to how slow stuff loads (insert yer' jokes here regulars).

It is just no where the damn near same as it once was. Do not know what it is exactly, but OS is and has been way slower for me for the last few weeks/months.

tribalfusion, ad.traffic.cmp, about 4 others, they are all crap and take years to finish reading or loading what ever the hell they are doing.
