Transfer Window/Pre-Season Friendlies

Our first pre-season friendly was a home game against Italian side Palermo, it was a tight game but we broke the deadlock via a 26th minute Aaron Ramsey goal but would just 1 minute later be pegged back by a Rigoni header, just a minute before the break Mertesacker gave us a 2-1 lead from a Mesut Ozil corner and that's how the half ended, we had more control in the second but couldn't keep our advantage as Makienok tied the game up in the 61st minute and that's how it ended.

Man Of The Match: Mesut Ozil


Celta Vigo 0-1 Arsenal
20' Giroud

Our second friendly saw us travel to Spain to take on Celta Vigo, we played a largely second string side, Olivier Giroud gave us a 1 goal lead in the 20th minute and that's how the game ended, the game also provided Fabian Schar and William Carvalho with unofficial debuts.

Man Of The Match: Fabian Schar

Arsenal 2-1 Lazio

81' Ramsey
90' Candreva

Our final friendly was at The Emirates, in front of a packed stadium we gave the fans a win in our final friendly however they would have to wait until the second half to see the gunners pull ahead through a Yaya Sanogo header in the 62nd minute and 20 minutes later Aaron Ramsey made it 2-0 for the Arsenal however a 90th minute goal by Candreva would see the game end 2-1

Man Of The Match: Wojciech Szczesny

Pre-Season Summary
2 wins and a draw is a nice pre-season for the lads, we were able to give almost every player in the squad a run out, we struggled in the first game but by the third we looked much more comfortable, hard to pick a best player because of all the rotation but Ozil looked very good along with Sanchez. Debuchy and Koscielny had tough pre-seasons, hopefully they can pick up their form

There has been quite a few offers for Aaron Ramsey and Olivier Giroud however I'm not looking to sell either, we are trying to move Mikel Arteta along and had a 7.5 million dollar deal lined up with his former club Everton however talks broke down, we are still looking for one more Centre Back, we also have a scout in England looking for any player that might be worth a look at.

So far, I am 5 matches in (and one Capital One Cup Match that I lost in PKs to Blackpool)

@ Man City - 2-1 win (scored on a penalty in the 88th minute and then held on for dear life)
vs. Leicester City - 2-1 loss
@ QPR - 1-1 draw

So yeah, it's been very up-and-down. Still figuring out how best to use my guys, but this game has been awesome so far.

I also uploaded a video of the highlights from that Man City match for anyone that wants to watch. It's literally just the highlight montage they show at the end of the match.

Started a new FIFA 15 Manager Mode.

Found a few gem's to start myself off, bought in ...

C Chambers - RB/CB - 72 Overall - 19yrs Old

Did a few player swaps too, got Langerak, Benezet, Seferovic, Opare, Rogic, Bell, Kruse, Gauld

Had a little cash as i sold a player i created.

Started my career with ny red bulls. Not in the transfer window so I can't buy anyone. But I have been looking at only transfer listed players and fa. I set my money to strict.

Finished up tune up matches with 0-2-1 record. And lost a close one to the white caps in the opener. I usually stream those games. I might upload them youtube. Haven't decided yet.

Started a career with Liverpool.

Any suggestions for a good right winger? I sold Sturridge to Arsenal for €35,000,000.

I cant give enough raps to Patrick Roberts, Right Midfielder only 17 years of age, starts at 67 overall but he's already going sky high. Also is an acrobat, with flair and long shot taker.

Iv'e been getting some great matches on pro without touching the sliders just yet...probably an indication of my lack of skill, but I am enjoying it!...

I got my 2 manager modes started off this afternoon, One with Everton and another with Peterborough, I plan on playing every game and just see how far i can get.

With Everton having some nice transfer funds, i plan on buying a young promising GK to eventually replace Howard, I think i located one in the GTN from Manchester United who was around 23 with good stats...We are also in serious need of some younger CB with Distin, Barry, Jagielka all being 32 or older.
I really like the size and strength of Romelu Lukaku but I might need to have a look at changing formation to get Eto'o involved a bit more and Ross Barkley being out injured is allowing Naismith to shine!

Peterborough is a tough project, sold of alot of there quality players and didn't leave the list in good shape. basically a total overhaul needed here, and with a pretty average transfer budget

Did you say young Center Back's ..... Take a look at Matthias Ginter 78 overall 20 years of age and around 7.5mil $

Its a chuck of cash but thats a 20 year old that can slot right in and start in the opening 11 from day one. You also wont have him called up to his national team for a while yet.

I must say i dont mind that we now have to take into account absent international players. Pitfalls of doing well in MM, you end up loosing half your starting lineup for internationals

I've just started a MM with Leicester. Slow/manual combined with semi settings and Professional difficulty/10min halves.
1st friendly match vs Barcelona at King Power. I'm down 0-1 with a penalty and manage to comeback with 2 (1st one a penalty also) goals on 45+ and 90+.
The game was good, pace was great with tweaked sliders for speed and acceleration (45 and 49) and passing error 51/72. There were also some midfield battles and the final stats were spot on.
I feel that I might increase the difficulty setting to wc. It seemed that Barcelona was not playing to their strength and they were not defending well. Maybe because it was a friendly match? Ofc Leicester is underrated, there is talent and quality in this team but the truth is I that didn't expect a win against Barcelona even in a friendly match.

Edit: Anybody seen a ref strictness option? I can't see it anywhere this year.

Oh, I misread his original statement. I thought he was saying he wished the clock would keep running when we get into stoppage time, which annoys me as well. It would be nice to know how much longer we have to hang on at the end of a match.

Yeah i meant when goal kicks and throw-ins happen and free kicks, my clock stops and starts with the whistle. Maybe its an option in the menu or something.

I figured I would do a legit update.

I just got out of the January transfer window.

Capoue was starting to get unsettled, so I sold him. Brought in a pair of 19 year old Germans. I was happy to get Meyer, he is already a 75 at 19 years old. I'm planning to throw him right into the first team and see how he does. He'll split time with Lennon on the left.

With 22 games played, I feel I still have a chance to sneak into the Champions League. Just need to cut down on some troubling results, like losses to Burnley and Crystal Palace.

Still alive in all competitions. Won my Europa League group, I will face Swansea in the Capital One Cup Final, and alive in the FA Cup as well.


Overall, not a terrible start to the season. I can really see that I am getting better at the game. It would have been better if I would have just started my CM now, but I can never resist jumping right in, haha. Really hoping to snatch that 4th spot by the end of the year. It'll take a nice run of results, but I don't think that's beyond me.

I usually go with Inter but from little feedback ive read that the presentation is so much better for BPL may have to also do Newcastle, Tottenham or Liverpool

are you on ps3 or 360? that could be why if you are... cause on my ps4 at least in the demo, it continued... i havent bought the game yet though
