First time post. Long time lurker.

      I. LOVE. THIS. GAME... especially the improved manager mode.

The CPU is finally playable where season matches are enjoyable. I'm in the 2nd season with Chelsea and played in a Champions League Group Stage last night against FC Basel on the road. The match felt so realistic. Basel came out with all pressure all throughout the pitch in the 1st half and had numerous goal scoring chances. They eventually tired out and I scored the first goal of the match with Willian on a counter attack. I ended up scoring 3 more goals in the 2nd half and you could see Basel completely worn out and deflated. It's as if they almost gave up after my 2nd goal, which is something that often happens when a European giant plays teams like Basel.

Awesome! I was going to do this too (outside my Man U CM), either take Leeds back up or go and get the disgraced Rangers back to their winning ways. I'm leaning towards Leeds because England has so much more depth to it's leagues than Scotland.

Started a CM as Newcastle. Five games in and I'm 2 -2 -1. Loss at Stoke(WTF) Drew against City and Southampton and destroyed Villa nda Palace.

Summer window was off so I guess my financial takeover(pretending a new owner fired Pardew) will kick in in January. I did add my CAP striker (77-ovr) though. Probably gonna let Cisse walk if an offer comes in, and probably grab some better cdm to pair with Tiote. Was thinking of making a splash with Pogba, if not then probably grab Aubameyang if I can to bomb down the right side and occasionally play striker. Dont know how much the takeover will give me to play with

Re: *The FIFA 15 Manager Mode Thread*

Made the decision to start with Liverpool, mainly down to the presentation aspects of the Premier League. Playing World Class, 10 mins halves on slow.

I've got two formations I'm rolling with, 4-4-2 diamond for games I feel I should win and a 4-2-3-1 for those tougher games. One notable injury early on as Lovren went down for two months pre season.

              Played three games so far:

Southampton (h) - 3-0 - Wasn't as easy as it sounds, I really struggled to break Southampton down for 75 minutes and got lucky when they made a mess of a throw in in my half playing it back to the halfway line, Johnson intercepted and ran down the wing to knock it into an unmarked Mario just two yards out for a tap in at the back post. I then scored two counter attack goals late on as Southampton pushed men forward. Scoreline was a bit flattering but I don't mind that.

Man City (a) - 4 -3 - What a game this was, I went with my defensive 4-2-3-1 and for 35 minutes it was working nicely at 0-0 with not much goalmouth action. Suddenly City burst into life with two goals in as many minutes through Aguero and Yaya, nothing I could do here as they just passed their way through my defence. Then out of nowhere right on half time on one of my first attacks of the game Mario got tripped in the box by Mangala gifting me a penalty. Gerrard put it away for for 1-2 at the break. Second half was a wild affair, Mario equalised on the hour, Aguero scored two minutes later and then straight from the restart Coutinho slotted in for 3-3. City missed three great chances for the win before Sterling popped up on 85 mins for a late winner. Got outplayed for most of the game but took my chances when they came.

Aston Villa (h) - 5-2 - I took an early lead through Mario and looked very comfortable until N'zogbia scored against the run of play after half an hour. Then Villa woke up and Benteke could have had two
before he put them in front on the stroke of half time with a great goal. But in injury time of the first half Mario popped up with a great individual goal to make 2-2 at half time. Second half was more routine, Sterling put us 3-2 up after 51 minutes, from there Villa carried little threat and Sturridge punished them with two late goals for a third straight win.

              Top scorers
              --------------
              Mario - 4
              Sturridge - 3
              Sterling - 2
              Gerrard - 1
              Coutinho - 1
              Moreno - 1

              Table
              --------------
              Liverpool - 9
              Swansea - 9
              Chelsea - 7
              Spurs - 6

Great start to the season, been a little lucky to win all three games but i'm sure that will even out over the season. Next up a trip to Spurs before we get our CL campaign underway. Incidentally neither Man U or Man City have registered a win yet.

I'll also be running a Bristol City save alongside this one and really looking forward to having both going this year in what looks like the best FIFA yet.

That's a pity as liked to have this option for Cup games .

Decided to loan players in and not go straight for buys. Will try to keep it realistic. If things go down the wire, I will try to get someone up in January...

Any good signings for Leeds you can suggest?

                      Thanks man!

Yeah, English league got a lot of care from EA as it's the most watched league in the World I guess.

We shall see what they do in next few years (I hear same treatment will go to Bundesliga, Serie A, Spanish BBVA in future).

Re: *The FIFA 15 Manager Mode Thread*

Getting my friend's fiancé to pick my career mode team (because I was dithering as usual) could have been a disaster, but when she chose Tottenham I was pleasantly surprised

I was also pleasantly surprised when awarded an extra 60% transfer budget (don't mind if I do...).

The Spurs squad isn't crying out for players in any one area, so my transfer policy for the majority of the first window was quite muted; the only signing being Aston Villa's Andreas Weimann for £7m.

However, Dortmund came in with a very good bid of £20m for Roberto Soldado, which I decided was good enough to let me sell the Spanish striker.

This gave me a transfer budget of nearly £50m so I decided to splash out £16.5m on World Cup Winner Andre Schurrle from Chelsea and £20m on Serbia international Neven Subotic from Dortmund.

I would still like to bring in a striking prospect before the window ends, and I still have about 7 million to do it.

As for performance in the league, it hasn't started particularly well, being defeated by West Ham at Upton Park 1-0 and then thrashed by Liverpool at home 6-3.

I'm confident I can make progress now, and a 2-1 win at home against QPR shows some improvement.

Both new signings should start in my 4-5-1 formation in the next league match:

                        G: Lloris
                        LB: Vertonghen
                        CB: Subotic
                        CB: Kaboul
                        RB: Walker
                        DMF: Capoue
                        DMF: Stambouli
                        LM: Schurrle
                        RM: Lennon
                        AMF: Eriksen
                        ST: Adebayor

Subs: Vorm (G), Rose, Fazio, Dembele, Lamela, Chadli, Weimann,
Supporting Leeds United, Colorado Rockies, Detroit Lions and the Colorado Avalanche!

I usually adjust the sliders so that I struggle a ton in the first few seasons. I guess that won't be an option this year.

                              September Review

September was a big month for us containing 7 games, two Capital One Cup games, 2 Champions League games and 3 Premier League games, we would face Manchester City twice this month making it 3 games against them in the first 2 months.

                              Capital One Cup
Arsenal 1-1 Oxford United (5-3 pens.)
                              4' Giroud
                              48' Brown

Oxford made what should've been an easy win a tough game, taking us all the way to penalties, however Gnabry slotted home calmly to send us through.

Man Of The Match: Gedion Zelalem (ARS)

                              Barclays Premier League
                              Arsenal 3-1 Manchester City
                              10' Wilshere
                              49' Jovetic
                              65' Welbeck
                              81' Walcott

This early season game against the reigning champions should've been our toughest test thus far, however after a 15th minute red card to City's Fernando the game was quite comfortable.

Man Of The Match: Jack Wilshere (ARS)

                              UEFA Champions League
                              Arsenal 1-0 Galatasaray
                              47' Wilshere

Our first Champions League game was at home game against Turkish side Galatasaray, far from an easy game for us but a 47th minute Wilshere goal gave us the goal we needed.

Man Of The Match: Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain (ARS)

                              Barclays Premier League
                              Aston Villa 0-1 Arsenal
                              48' Nastasic

A trip to Villa Park was on the cards for our 5th Premier League game, a tough game that was settled by a 48th minute Nastasic header from a Mesut Ozil corner, making it 5 wins in a row in the league for us.

Man Of The Match: Brad Guzan (AVL)
                              Our Best Player: Mesut Ozil

                              Capital One Cup
                              Manchester City 1-2 Arsenal
                              13' Welbeck
                              82' Jovetic
                              89' Cazorla

Our 3rd meeting of the season with City was in the Capital One Cup, a late Santi Cazorla goal gave us the win and sent us through to the next round.

Man Of The Match: David Ospina (ARS)

                              Barclays Premier League
                              Arsenal 3-0 Tottenham Hotspur
                              34', 45', 68' Ings

A Danny Ings hat-trick gave us an easy win over Spurs, our midfield was simply too strong as we controlled the game.

Man Of The Match: Danny Ings

                              UEFA Champions League
                              Arsenal 2-3 Borussia Dortmund
                              17' Immobile
                              39' Blaszczykowski
                              45' Welbeck
                              55' Ozil
                              61' Gundogan

This was our first loss of the season after a 10 game winning streak, after going 2-0 down i expected a flogging however we fought back with inspiring performances from Danny Welbeck and Mesut Ozil and got back to 2-2 but as we pushed for the winner we were left exposed at the back and Ikay Gundogan scored the winner for Dortmund.

PLAYER OF THE MONTH: Danny Welbeck

September was a good month again for us, we may have lost for the first time but 6 wins out 7 games is a good return, Danny Welbeck is on fire along with the entire front line, unfortunately William Carvalho and Heung Min Son haven't got their feet on the ground yet, hopefully they can pick up their game over the next month

Last vid for what has become my test CM. Crazy FA Cup Final that you would never have seen in previous years due to the lack fouls. This time around, 2 penalties and a goal off a free kick (my first). Enjoy and thanks for watching.
