Zardes is a 73 or 74 now I believe and I was lucky enough to get him on a free in my second season with West Brom. Incredible value. Mainly been a late game sub and started cup games but he's developing tremendously regardless.

Trying to bounce back from our tough loss in the Capital One Cup by getting back into form in the league and trying to reach our lofty expectations of finishing in a Champions League spot given to us by the board. Well, mission accomplished! Our goal from the board was a mid-table finish. While I would have maybe liked to finish a little higher than 16th after our good start (as high as 9th at one point), I think this was a good first season in the Championship. Lots of things to build on, with such a young team.
Kieren Agard led the team with 19 goals, tied with David McGoldrick for the league lead.
My Academy players are progressing nicely. My RM and LM are both at 69, I believe they started the year at 65 and 66. My CDM is 72, I think he started at 68 or 69. All 3 are 18 years old.
Might look for some older players, either on the Free Agent list, or just being sold for cheap. Just to bolster my backups and cover for injuries.
Some poor money management on my part led to me losing a couple players to expiring contracts, and I wasn't able to have youth scouts out, so my Academy is a bit dry at this point. But I think I survived it OK, and am back on solid ground now.

I've had several teams contact me about buying Kieren Agard, but the most I've had anyone offer is $6,000,000. I just can't sell him for that. I know I probably should take the pay day, but he is BY FAR my best striker (I have a striker with a similar OVR, but I am so much better with Agard).
I thought my season expectations would be to fight for promotion, but again this year my expectations are a mid-table finish. I'm pretty confident I will be able to do that. *Gonna start doing a month by month account of my career now as not got as much time to play these days, looking after my 7 month pregnant fiance and getting everything ready in preparation for the arrival of Newcastle United's future #9 takes up a lot of time from here on in haha.*7
Newcastle United 2015/16 Season: October 2015
7. (A) 2-1 loss v Chelsea (Cabella 77') (Hazard (p) 5', Ramires 16')
A disastrous start in this game saw us fall two behind quickly, Hazard converting a penalty after being taken down by Krul in what seemed a fairly innocuous challenge. Replays suggested it was a dive but nonetheless the ref gave it and Hazard gleefully tucked it in. No complaints on the second goal however, a slick move by the trio of Hazard, Willian and Ramires allowed the DM to tap into an empty net. The rest of the half was pretty quiet, Chelsea seeming happy to allow us to pressure without really letting us in. We played with a lot more gusto in the second half, testing Courtois with some good efforts, almost breaking through when Cabella struck the post with a header. Our goal came 13 minutes before the end, Cabella with an absolute peach of a free kick from 33 yards, leaving Courtois and any keeper in the world no chance of saving. It sparked a flurry of attacks for as we searched for an equaliser. It was never to be though and we left Stamford Bridge empty handed.

8. (H) 2-0 win v Cardiff City (Cabella (p) 17', Aubameyang 81') (Whittingham s/o)
A good return to winning ways here against a rather poor Cardiff side, they had their chances but rarely troubled me. Aubameyang won us a penalty after some trickery in the box invited a challenge from Whittingham, who was sent off. Remy Cabella stepped up and cheekily dinked the ball in, showing immense composure under pressure. We maybe suffered a little from complacencyas we had plenty chances to increase our lead, but we were very lax at times, perhaps over confident from the man advantage. Eventually we put the result beyond doubt however, Aubameyang curling in from the edge of the box into the top left corner.
(EL 3 H) 1-1 draw v SC Braga (Ben Arfa 55') (Eder 88')
Thoroughly pissed off after this match, had my gameplan and had it working to perfection, soaked up pressure and burst on the counter attack, leading to Ben Arfa scoring with a chipped finish. After that, I kept on the attack but held a couple extra players back in defence. The equaliser for Braga annoyed the **** out of me, Krul punched a corner away and then was down injured. I tried to hoof the ball out of play so I could sort it, Braga caught the ball somehow and then I had to hold while they passed the ball around for a few minutes, still no stoppage to allow my keeper to get up or subbed... Eder then manages to tap the ball in after my frustration started causing sloppiness in my defence. Thoroughly miffed... After the match I received a written warning about my conduct and language towards the officials.
9. (A) 5-1 win v Stoke City (Dybala 45+1', 46', 81', 84', de Jong 61') (Cahill (og) 89')
After the disappointment of Thursday's Europa League game, I sent the lads out with one simple purpose... Hurt Stoke and hurt them bad. I had to wait a while for my plan to come together but it did, right on the edge of half time, Dybala bursting and beating the defence before slotting at the near post. His second came at the start of the second half, a series of 1-2 passes between him and Ben Arfa resulting in another near post finish. Stoke seemed deflated from the goals so I pushed the team further forward in search of more. Siem de Jong made it 3-0 with a sublime half-volley from a Montero cross and then Dybala stole the show by getting his 3rd and 4th goals of the game, both tap ins after catching out Stoke's offside trap twice in quick succession. The only downside in the game was an unfortunate own goal, Krul punching away a corner kick which hit Cahill and trickled in the goal. I was still hugely satisfied with the team performance and that of Dybala, what a way to announce himself on the Premier League scene.
(COC R4 H) 3-1 loss v Chelsea (Ben Arfa 8', Janmaat s/o) (Hazard 7', Fabregas 37', Diego Costa 90+2')
Bitterly disappointed to be leaving the Capital One Cup at this stage but Chelsea's class shone through in this game. Hazard destroying our defence with some slick footwork and pace, creating his goal out of nothing before tapping it around Krul. Hatem Ben Arfa saw that as a challenge to do better and he did, Dybala and Cabella kicked off and gave it to HBA on the wing, who took on Hazard and Filipe Luis, before cutting in and unleashing a low drive that fooled Courtois. Both goals were within 2 minutes. After that frenetic start, the game settled, but Chelsea took the lead again 8 minutes before the break, a free kick move that saw Hazard jump the ball, Oscar pass it on to Fabregas and the Spaniard smashed in from 22 yards, Krul was rooted in place and had no chance. Chelsea sat back for the second half, perhaps trying to conserve energy ahead of their next game v Man City in the PL. I pushed forward but kept off of full throttle with one eye on the huge Tyne-Wear derby at the weekend. Our task was made even harder, Janmaat seeing a straight red card for a violent challenge on Hazard who was about to initiate a counter attack. Hazard was then taken off with a leg injury and replaced by Diego Costa as Chelsea switched their formation around. We were caught out in injury time as we sent Krul up for a corner, Chelsea broke away and Costa shot towards goal from the halfway line with no one guarding the goal, a sad end to the game for us but still we move forward in our other competitions.
10. (H) 2-2 draw v Sunderland (Dybala 32', Subotic 89') (Rodwell 70', Abdellaoue 90+4')
A heartbreaker of a result for us and the fans. The ultimate in joy and despair all in the space of the 5 final minutes. A cagey start from both sides saw few chances created, but we snuck in front after Dybala created a pocket of space for himself and curled in from a tight angle in the box to beat Pantimilon. Sunderland pushed on in the second half, while rarely seeming like threatening us. A break away from them allowed Rodwell a chance 30 yards out, curling the ball past Krul who bizarrely made no attempt to dive at the ball, even though the slow itself was a slow curling effort which he watched fly in. After the frustration of conceding, I threw everyone up front, knowing that a win here is what my fans demand and deserve. We thought we had it on 89 minutes, Cabella with a quick roulette getting between both Sunderland CB's and shooting at the keeper who could only parry to Subotic who headed in from 2 yards, prompting jubilant scenes all around St James' Park. The result seemed sewn up until Subotic went from hero to zero, bringing down Adam Johnson with a clumsy tackle, giving Abdellaoue the chance to equalise in the last minute of injury time. Krul saved the penalty but could only parry out, allowing Abdellaoue to redeem himself and tap in the rebound. That was the last action of the game as the referee blew for full time as soon as we restarted the game. A crushing draw which feels like a defeat in all honesty.

Thoughts on October
Two wins, two draws, two defeats in all competitions for the month has given me some food for thought as I look at ways to improve, especially when playing the "big" teams and also in high pressure games. I am encouraged by the new recruits I bought in the summer, they seem to have gelled well, Dybala impressing obviously with 5 Premier League goals in the last two league games. But the contributions of Aubameyang and Montero have eclipsed that in my opinion, the goals they have created have been a huge help to solving the problem I had with a lack of goals at this stage last season. However, defence still appears to be a weak spot, injuries and suspensions have hampered me but I feel that given time, we'll turn the corner defensively and improve as an all-round team with a good attacking dynamic throughout. We'll be an entertaining team, that's for sure.

In this second to last episode of Season 2 we will be playing four league matches that will be vital in deciding if we will be able to finish in the Champions League qualification spot, which is our boards expectations of the squad, or at least be able to clinch a Europa League spot for sure by finishing fifth. This episode could be the one that decides whether or not I keep my job.

The Swans Budget and Objectives Announced
The Swansea City board have given new manager Patrick Hayes a £8 million transfer budget and a £80k wage budget. They have also set the following objectives to be achieved by Hayes and the team in the 2014-15 season: Qualify for the Euro League and reach the Round of 16 in the cup. Hayes said in a statement today that he confident he will be able to reach the goals set by the board with his current squad of players. He has been given free rein on who he signs but it remains to be seen whether or not he will purchase anyone in the current window. He may decide to keep the current squad as it is and make the necessary changes in January. Unfortunately Mr. Hayes was unable to attend a press conference as he was busy with the teams preseason preparations. He has arranged matches against SM Caen, SC Bastia and Napoli.
A blow though as Gylfi Sigurosson is out for 7 weeks while he recovers from an Anterior Cruciate Ligament injury.
In order to set up the Youth Academy as quickly as possible Ruairi Waters from Ireland has been brought in for 637k. He has been sent to unearth talent in England for a period of 9 months. Will he find the next Raheem Sterling, Ross Barkley or Daniel Sturridge? Or will another average Joe walk through the doors of the Swansea City Academy that Hayes wants to make famous

Hayes' first match in the Premier League started badly at Old Trafford as RVP scored within 6 minutes when he was allowed time in the box. Di Maria scored a 2nd when he turned and finished. There were 4 goals scored in the last 15 minutes starting with RVP completing his brace before Bony got us on the scoresheet heading in a Routledge cross. 2 goals in the latter stages for Rooney ended the game 5-1 against us. A poor start but we hope to bounce back against Burnley.

Looking to bounce back from the hammering at the hands of United we hosted Burnley at the Liberty Stadium in our first home game of the season. Bony played through Dyer and he finished coolly. Rangel then played the ball to Sigurosson who struck it first time into the top corner. A beautiful strike. Jones gave Burnley hope when he found his way between our defence and finished it. We shut them out however and earned our first victory of the season.

Hoping to add another win we hosted West Brom in our 3rd game of the season. It started badly when Sessegnon scored for the visitors 16 minutes in. In the 2nd half Canas put Bony through and he finished it well with his left foot. 10 minutes later Foster was tackled by Bony. Foster took him down and a penalty was given. (How wasn't it a red?!?!) Bony stepped up and gave us the lead. Dorrans ruined the party 9 minutes from time when he found space and fired home. 4 points from 9 in Hayes first 3 games.
Payer of the Month
Wilfried Bony
The Ivorian claims the first Player of the Month award. His strength caused defenders all sorts of problems up front and he scored 3 goals in 3 games in the League. He also assisted 1 goal.

Emmes had his shot saved and Bony tapped in the rebound. Shelvey slipped Bony in 10 minutes later and he slid it under the onrushing Forster. A bad tackle on Emmes in the 23nd minute meant he went off with a sprained ankle to be replaced by Gomis. Bony finished a counter attack goal poking it over Forster to complete his hat trick. Our defense was cut open and Long had an easy finish. Bony responded with another goal a minute later. Dyer won the ball back by the corner flag and pulled it back to Gomis for number 5. Tadic scored a wonderful free kick from the edge of the D. Schneiderlin tapped in a rebound from his shot. A very high scoring game. (Was on Professional)
Marvin Emmes is out for 4 weeks with a sprained ankle.
Capital One Cup Round 3
Swansea 2-1 Preston

MOTM: James Loveridge
Hayes fielded a younger team to give them some experience in this Cup match. The Preston Goalkeeper skied his clearence from a back pass and Fulton headed it in from the edge of the box. In the 50' minute Britton hit the crossbar from 30 yards when the keeper made another terrible clearence. Donnelly got a bruised shoulder and was replaced by Gomis. Britton then sprained his knee and Sigurdsson came on. Garner equalized to bring it to extra time. Loveridge picked the ball up on the D and put Gomis through who held off the defender and scored. Tighter than we would have liked but we are through to the next round against Southampton.
Leon Britton will be out for 4 weeks.
Rory Donnelly will be out for 9 days.
Match 5

A trip to the Stadium of Light was up next for Bony and Co as we looked to make it a 3rd consecutive victory in all competitions. Just before halftime Sigurdsson got a sprained knee and was replaced by Canas. Sunderland struck first through Rodwell after Fletcher played him in. Bony replied for us 5 minutes from time. Canas gave the ball to him on the edge of the box and he went down the outside of Bridcutt turned back inside and placed it into the far corner. Dyer had a chance to win it in stoppage time but the angle was too great for him to finish.
Gylfi Sigurdsson is out for 3 weeks with a sprained knee.

"He doesn't get the credit he deserves sometimes" - Patrick Hayes. He has been key in games keeping us in them especially the Sunderland one where he got Man of the Match.

Q. What are your thoughts on the month?
A. It was quite good in my opinion. We beat a very good Southampton team at home and the young lads did well against Preston in the Cup deserving to win in normal time. The draw against Sunderland was unfortunate but the Stadium of Light is a tough place to visit and we did well to come away with a point.
Q. Wilfried Bony scored 5 goals this month and has been in great form. How much is your success is down to him?
A. Listen Wilfried has been in great form but our success is down to the team. They create the chances and we are lucky enough to have someone of his quality up top who can finish them.
Q. You have a tough month ahead especially visiting Stamford Bridge in your first game. How do you think that you will do?
A. I think we are well capable of getting 9 points out of 12 this month. Chelsea are a great team and even more so at home but we aren't afraid of them or anyone for that matter.
Q. There have been rumors of you moving for Danny Ings or Saido Berahino in the upcoming window. Are these rumors true?
A. Now for that you'll have to wait until January.

Started with a 5-4-1 Diamond and played on counter attack to try and keep Chelsea out. In the 32nd minute Williams clearly won the ball in the box off Costa but the referee gave a penalty. Hazard converted it to give Chelsea the lead. They dominated us in the 1st half with 11 shots and 6 on target compared to none for us. Oscar made it 2 with a good finish after driving through our defence. Costa made it 3 in the 55th minute. Oscar and Schurrle added the 4th and 5th goals. We were totally outclassed and they ended up with 24 shots and 13 on target. We had only 2 shots with both on target.

Hayes tried a 4-3-3 today at home against Newcastle. Cisse opened the scoring when he picked the ball up on the edge of the box and finished into the corner. Sissoko extended the lead when he was allowed to turn in the box and finish it top corner. Shelvey swung in a corner on halftime and Fernandez headed it in. Bony tied it up when Shelvey passed it to him, he took on his man turned back inside on his right foot and put it away. Cabella tapped in the rebound from his shot that hit the post. Ki equalized 2 minutes later. Cabella used some quick feet to get a free shot in and score. Gomis looked to have drawn it off the bench when he scored in the 88th minute. But Tiote won it with the last kick of the game when a cross fell to his feet. (I need to work on defending as there were some soft goals. This was on default World Class.)

A cross was met by Bony forcing a save from Begovic allowing Montero to smash home the rebound. Fernandez gave away a pen right on halftime but Fabianski saved Crouch's effort. Shelvey put Bony 1 on 1 with the defender on the halfway line. Bony took it past him and finished it. Adam scored in the 83rd minute for the home side tapping in a rebound. We got our first win of the month. We host Leicester City next and I'm expecting 3 points.

We hosted the Foxes in this encounter as we looked to make it a 2nd win of thr month. Nugent got space in box and scored in the 22nd minute. Shelvey picked the ball up in midfield. He found the run of Dyer who turned inside Konchesky, got inside the box and placed it past Schmeichel. Nugent scored a 2nd tapping in Cambiasso's pass to give Leicester the lead. Bony headed in a Routledge cross and with help from the goal decision system we had an equalizer. Sigurdsson had his shot from the edge of the box saved in the last minute. The resulting corner broke loose in the box and Routledge hit a shot on the turn into the bottom corner to win it.
Capital Cup Round of 16
Swansea 0-1 Southampton
SOU - Rodriguez 75' Wanyama s/o 89'
MOTM: Florin Gardos
We looked to make it a 2nd win over the Saints this season when they visited the Liberty Stadium for the Round of 16 tie in the Capital One Cup which we won in the 2011-12 season. It was a tight game and Rodriguez got the goal from a counter attack. He came inside Taylor to receive the ball and then kept his cool to finish past Fabianski. Dyer missed a golden chance in the 85' to level it after cutting inside 2 players but shooting wide. Wanyama was sent off in the 89' for a bad challenge on Bony. We were beaten by the better team on the day even though there wasn't much between us.

A. I honestly don't know, Chelsea are a quality team with lots of creators but we have to defend better. 2 or 3 nil is respectable but not 5. The same happened at Newcastle, simply not good enough defensively. It improved against Stoke when it was a late goal we let in. I think we have sorted the problem out though.
Q. Your sitting in the bottom half of the table. Do you think you can improve on your position?
A. Of course we can improve, we have a good squad and are well capable of breaking the top 10 and finishing in a Europa League spot.
Q. You've been knocked out by Southampton in the Capital One Cup. What happened and how do you feel?
A. Yes we have and naturally we're gutted to be knocked out and only to a single goal is worse. We just made a mistake in the wrong area after pouring too many men forward and they caught us on the break, scoring from it. Southampton are a very good side and we wish them luck in the next round.
Q you have the worst defense, with 25 goals conceded, in the league but you also have the joint highest goals scored (20 with Newcastle.) Is the first a concern for you?
A. Of course it is, there'd be something majorly wrong with me if I wasn't concerned. We need to sure up defensively and I may bring in a defender or 2 in January to help do that.
Q. You have some tough fixtures next month with trips to the Ethiad and Goodison Park and visits from the Gunners and Palace. What do you expect from these games?
A. I want 10 points from these games. It'll be a challenge but I think we are able for it.
Also I just signed a player called Keano Cowan-Hall to my Youth Academy!!!!! (Cowan-Hall also happened to be a player I loved with Wycombe lol) Amazing isn't it.
He is a 16 year old from England is (36-50, 52-72) He's either an Attacker or a Midfielder. I mainly signed him because of his name.

Quick update.
I got promoted to the Premier League after finishing 2nd in the FL Championship. I promoted a few youth squad kids that I'm really hoping will pan out. One of the kids that I brought up is a 72 OVR CAM named Sean Tracy that is just 16 years old. Kid is 5'11", from Ireland, with great dribbling and shooting. Pace needs some work, as does his strength and stamina, but I'm excited about him.

Pretty excited about those kids, even though Tracy is the only one receiving significant playing time, although I had to start Mulgrew and Sasso at the CBs one match due to injuries and suspensions.
For my roster for Season 2, I fully purchased Jordon Ibe, got Bamford (ST, 69 OVR) and Steele (GK, 70 OVR) back from loan, and I purchased Deandre Yedlin for $12.5M, as he's now a 75 OVR RB and still growing. Zardes has improved to a 76 OVR, Adam Clayton is now a 72, Omeruo and Ayala are now 71s, and Ibe is a 69.
Right now we are tied among 4 clubs for last in the BPL, and my goal is to avoid relegation, so we have some slack to pick up. Hopefully my young guys can turn the season around before I get canned.Twitter: @TyroneisMaximus

I prefer to, where I can, sign real players over computer generated ones early in a career. but I went and scouted any real free agents aswell for you.
with only a couple weeks left in the mid season transfer period, a decision needs to be made. any player with a 70+ rating is generally worth more than the 6ish million we can afford. unless they are into the twilight of their careers. so, with the choices below, who likes who. or do we pass on a transfer, and put the rest of this seasons money into another youth scout?
