Well, the season has drawn to an end with some ups and downs for me and the team here at Vallodolid.

After my post the other day, Ryan Gaul broke his ankle and was out for 3 months (rest of the season!), Andrew Robertson broke his foot, rest of the season, and my centre half Jedvaj (think thats right, young guy from Roma) out for the rest of the season. Squad was depleted enough as it is due to my own preference of a smaller squad and preparing to rebuild in the summer.

So, was top of the league in the last post, after that though, form was all over the place, injuries to key players and general under performing meant i lost a few more games than i'd have liked to, in the last 6 games, noteable results were a 1-1 draw away to Atheltico Madrid, a 2-0 Away win at Real Madrid, meaning i'd beat them home and away this season, and a 3-1 loss at the nou camp to barcelona.

Overall, i finished 3rd, qualified for the champions league in what was an unbelivable season for me and my squad.

Thankfully, the board noticed this and have given me £18.5m to spend in the summer. need to get rid of some of the dead wood and strengthen in a few areas.

Really excited for the season ahead, but moreso, the upcoming transfer window where i can flex a small amount of muscle and try and get in a few players.

Key Transfer targets - Viktor Fischer, need a new winger as Finbogasson proved his worth up top, much to the dismay of Berahino, competition for places though!

Also feeling i'll need a new defensive mid as Beckerman can't last forever, same with a new Right back as hutton will be 32 this season (i think)

any suggestions on either of those positions, or wingers as well? Cheap ish, young and good potential?

    any help is appreciated!

    Mon the Vallodolid!

We've just started getting some consistency going in our play and now face the tough task of Everton at Goodison, Manchester United at Old Trafford, and Manchester City at home. We will enter the beginning of the winter transfer window to round out the episode as well.

Re: *The FIFA 15 Manager Mode Thread*

Ill tell you what...Thank the lord for some unrealism in fifa! Im in the 3rd season with liverpool acting as brendan Rodgers because I think he is a good manager and no reason to be replaced. ANYways, I was elimated from champions league in a 3-0 defeat to tottenham who made me look pathetic. I turn around and play a league game. Next thing you know im playing basiktas in the Europa league. I take care of them with ease after home and away winning on aggregate 7-3. The boys blood is pumping after a pep talk and a washing in the champs league.

I play an away match at fulham who is sitting 16th right now....We come up strong scoring 2 gols by Casemiro and sturridge in the first half. Second half comes along and fulham are fighting relegation and playing tough. I deal with an injury in the 55th min to Yedlin on a slide tackle while trying to push for a 3rd and rain hell on Fulham. Free kick comes and Sturridge gets his head on the ball, puts it wide but comes down wrong and I deal with a second injury.

This isnt funny. Now I put in Jese rodriguez up front as I was trying to rest some of the guys for a big game away at city at the weekend. 86th min and im looking to hold the ball. Up 2-0 still holding the ball and out of no where fulham smashes into varane with the dirtiest slide tackle ive ever seen in my half of the pitch. Injured!!! What does fulham get..A yellow card. Now before this game started I had 3 injuries already. Zouma out 3 weeks and coutinho out 2 weeks assaidi out a month.

I sim forward not thinking of all the injuries my team is dealing with. I get to the city game..Play match.....Then the pop up that scared me ****less came...You do not have enough men to field a team, are you sure you want to forfeit 3-0....WTF!!! I already saved the game, Im in 6th right now, 4 points from 2nd with 8 games left, I cant afford to forfeit as I need to keep the champions league run going. I have been apart of it for the last 2 seasons and havent won anything but this years FA cup over chelsea who has won the league the last 2 years....And Im glad I finally got a trophy as I know the boards patience is wearing thin.

Now im scrambling thinking what do I do...Youth players will take a couple days.....LOANERS! I had loaned out Joe Allen, Meita and a third that is escaping me. I had 22 guys on my team, So i need those 3 to come back...LUCKILY enough, I was able to afford all 3 guys to bring them back from loan to field a roster yet I got beat down the whole game by city and lost 2-1, only one scoring was casemiro again as he is hitting his form.

Soooo, thank fifa or technology to be able to put these guys on a plane, AND deliver them game ready within a couple hours.

Now I have 7 central midfielders who will be whining about playing time when guys get healthy and will have to try to reloan them after seasons end. I should be making vids or posting more but Im too lazy to post anything this long any more often then I do

Re: *The FIFA 15 Manager Mode Thread*

Not been on for a few days, and probably won't be on until thursday or friday, but been thinking about the upcoming transfer window.

Going to have a clear out of players, hopefully sell a few to get more money in for new players, Harry Kane being one of the main players to leave, he's just dropping further down the peking order and has never felt the same after the injury he had that kept him out for a year. Leao will probably leave, as will Rueda although he is leaving on a free! Lewis Macleod will probably go on loan again, although depending on his development, i may just punt him.

Got a wee list of players i want to bring in, but as yet, have no idea how much any of them are going to cost. Have a feeling i may get priced out of Viktor Fischer unless they are willing to take Kane as well!

Will keep you in the loop. Transfers need to be good though as even my pre season matches are tough with Everton, Dortmund and Napoli all lined up before our first ever Champions League campaign!

                28. (A) 0-1 win vs Southampton (Bony pen 27')

Another solid performance from the lads against a poorly performing Southampton side. The home side looked the better team going forward early on and Long had a penalty shout as he went down in the box but the replay showed he just slipped over in the slippery conditions. They had a few more half chances but it was us who took the lead in the 27th minute as Emnes was too skilful for the Southampton defence and was brought down by a late challenge from Yoshida, the resulting penalty being coolly dispatched by Bony. We kept hold of the ball well from then and didn't allow Southampton a sniff on goal while we continued to make penetrating runs down the left, with Emnes and Taylor having a good game. Southampton did manage to get a shot early on in the second half but Pelle's powerful shot from range was kept out easily by Schmeichel. Bony's speculative shot was tipped over the bar late on but other than that it was a quiet game which we managed to control well and get another win.

                29. (A) 1-2 win vs Sheffield Wednesday (May 64') (Sigurosson 77', Amat 90+3)

An explosive finish sees late drama at Hillsborough Stadium. Sheffield were determined to cause an upset and they started off well having most of the early possession and shots. We struggled to begin with although Donnelly and Shelvey looked promising but it was really all Wednesday in the first half. They continued their fine start in the second half and they took a deserved lead through May in the 64th minute, looking like they would indeed cause a shock. We went all out after that and the introduction of Gomis seemed to give us some physical strength up front and as Shelvey's shot was saved by Westwood Sigurosson, who had come on just after the half time break, slotted in the rebound from a tight angle and put the result back into contention. From that it was a really end to end game but with neither side being able to score that all important winner. Sheffield almost snatched the win late on as May, who was causing me problems all game, crossed in the ball but Fabianski punched the ball away. From this the ball came out to Routledge and he passed the ball to Amat who stormed up the pitch got himself onto his right foot and absolutely levered it from outside the area and the ball curved viciously past Westwood and in the dying breath of the game our centre back (and captain for the game) scored us the winner with an unlikely but well welcomed goal. A disappointment for Sheffield Wednesday who on another day would be celebrating a big upset but a well fought victory for us and we continue onto the next round where we will face Arsenal in the Quarter Final.

                30. (A) 4-3 loss vs Burnley (Barnes 19' 32', Knightly 23', Jutkiewicz 68') (Bony 25' 39', Amat 45')

The game of the season against bottom of the table Burnley ended in an agonising defeat. We started the game really well and could have gone ahead when Sigurosson put his shot narrowly wide. It was Burnley who scored the first goal though as Barnes hit the ball first time from a brilliant pass into the box. They doubled there advantage 4 minutes later with Knightly and the game looked to be beyond us. Bony gave us hope just after the restart as he took the ball off Shackell and placing it just past Heaton. Burnley responded well though and they restored their two goal advantage not long after with Barnes netting his second. Bony brought us back into the game again this time with a cheeky chip over the onrushing keeper. Amat equalised for us just before half time scoring a header from a Montero corner. We pushed forward desperately to try and get the winner but it was Burnley who retook the leader thanks to the substitute Jutkiewicz. We pressed burnley for the last 20 minutes and Canas came agonisingly close to equalising late into injury time but the Clarets held on for an important win which kept there slim hopes of staying up alive and completing the double over us to bring out 4 game winning streak (3 in the BPL) to an end in spectacular fashion.

                31. (A) 0-1 win vs Tottenham Hotspur (Bony 9')

A great performance from the lads against a Spurs side riding high in the table. We were determined to shake off the defeat against bottom of the table burnley and our response was instant as Bony turned in Canas's saved shot from a tight angle to give us the lead in the 9th minute. Spurs were very sloppy in possession and this gave us chance after chance to punish them further but we just couldn't find that final ball in the dangerous positions. The home team did threaten but they were easily dispossessed by Canasm or Wanyama and they couldn't really get anything going. We almost put ourselves further ahead just after half time but Sung-yeung blazed the ball wide. Spurs finally seemed to step into top gear late on, exploiting Richards unfamiliarity at LB with Hotlby. He drilled in a shot which Schmeichel just about managed to get a hand to and Soldado had an open goal but he somehow managed to mess up the chance and the ball smacked off the post to be scooped up gratefully by Schmeichel. They came back almost immediately from the clearance out and Holtby had another shot but this one was blocked at the last second by Amat and the ball was caught by Schmeichel. We managed to keep hold of the ball after that and grind out the remaining couple of minutes to pull off a famous victory away at White Hart Lane.

                32. (H) 0-1 loss vs Manchester United (Di Maria 73')

In this game we hosted Manchester United who were hoping to avenge the draw we got against them in the first game of the season. From the off it was all them and Rooney's speculative shot from 40 yards out whistled just over the bar. We had a good chance to take the lead on the counter but Dyer placed the ball just wide of the post and Mata almost scored just before half time but his shot hit the post. They carried on from where they left off after the break and Di Maria had his shot saved by Schmeichel. The introduction of Van Persie and Falcao proved too much for us however and Byram was forced to bring down Falcao in a dangerous position and from the resulting free kick Di Maria managed to head the ball into the top corner, giving the keeper no chance to save it. We pressed hard for an equaliser and the last chance fell to us but Wanyama couldn't turn his header in from the corner. Man Utd played well in the game and deservingly went home with the 3 points.

                33. (A F.A cup) 6-4 loss vs Arsenal (Dzeko 7' 33', Pjanic 50', Sanchez 61', Podolski 66', Wilshere 85') (Gomis pen 13' 59' pen 73', Carroll 90')

A 10 goal thriller in the F.A cup quarter round fixture. The hosts took the lead early on as Dzeko ran through the defence from the half way line and slotted the ball past Schmeichel. We equalised 6 minutes later as Mertesacker threw Gomis down in the box, the powerful french striker blasting the resulting penalty past Szczesny. They restored there lead in the 33rd minute with Dzeko losing his marker and blasting the ball into the far corner almost identical to the one they scored just after half time with Pjanic. Routledge almost got us a goal back but his shot was deflected onto the bar and out for a corner. From the delivery by Sigurosson there was a scramble in the box and as Podolski's failed clearance bounced off Amat's head, Gomis poked the ball in as it fell towards the empty net and put us back in the game. Our hopes were dashed a mere 2 minutes later as Sanchez ran onto a brilliant through ball and slotted the ball past Schmeichel almost straight from kick-off. Podolski put them two goals ahead not long after as yet another through ball split our defence and allowed him to curl the ball past the onrushing Schmeichel. Arsenal gave away another penalty, this time as Emnes was tackled recklessly from behind which Gomis slotted away with ease to get his hatrick and give us another route back into this game. However in the 85th minute as we pushed too many bodies forward, Jack Wilshere was left all alone and as Schmeichel tried to run out and smother the shot he poked it past him and coolly finished into the empty net to surely give Arsenal the win. We didn't give up even at the very end and Dyer's corner was headed in by Tom Carroll in the 90th minute. It proved to be only a consolation goal however as Arsenal progressed in a fantastic F.A cup tie which we were bitterly disappointed to lose having gotten so far already.

Hey, guys. I'm looking to move on from Mignolet as my GK at Liverpool at the end of my second season. I've narrowed my choices down to Mattia Perin or Jack Butland. I've got reasons for and against both, but I was wondering if any of you had them on your squads and if you would recommend them. Thanks. Loving this game!

                    Collapse at Dortmund

An investigation by German authorities found that Borussia Dortmund had an ownership who had failed to pay it's debts and were completely broke. Further probing found that players would not receive paychecks for the upcoming 2014-15 season and that immediate moves needed to be made in order to keep the club from collapsing. Local businessman Nils Wasserman oversees a mass sell off at insanely discount prices of the clubs stars (Reus, Sahin, Weidenfeller, etc.) just to get the club financially capable. The Bundesliga clubs decided to drop now 2 star Dortmund to the Bundesliga 2 and Nuremberg.

                    Year 1 Summary:
Goal - Avoid relegation to the 3Liga. - Achieved, 15th place finish
Reach Round of 32 - Failed, Lost to Aue in 1st Round

Season one was completely simmed. Used the transfer sum provided to be to build up infrastructure and to bring in my first round of youngsters and there a few promising kids who will be updated once I get going to into season 2. A few players were recalled from loans (Hofmann, Leitner) and some of the young, low wage players for Dortmund formed the base for my team and then over 30 players rated no higher than 65 were brought in to ensure we had enough players if there were any injuries or players leaving. I'll get more in detail about what's left of Dortmund for season two as I move to bring in some young talent for cheap to help get this power back to good (without overspending)

Gonna start my second season with Newcastle soon, already done my pre season preparations, took advantage of a financial takeover as personally it's what I want in real life, want Mike Ashley out as owner of Newcastle haha!

So with improved funding at the club, I went out and bolstered my squad with the following signings:

                      Gary Cahill from Chelsea (£10,500,000)
Pierre Emerick Aubameyang from Borussia Dortmund (£15,000,000)
                      Paulo Dybala from Palermo (£9,500,000)
                      Jefferson Montero from Swansea (£5,000,000)

I have also allowed Ryan Taylor and Jonas Gutierrez to run out their contracts and both are free to find another club. I have placed 10 players on the list for loans, already have my ideal 22 that I want to keep for my squad, so all others are surplus to requirements, injuries permitting of course.

Bernd Leno has been great for me as he is my backup...Seems like almost every game I use him he keeps a clean sheet for me. He always wants playing time. He is rated 82? i think but like i said, Mignolet has just been phenominal and is my captain. Henderson is co capt
He's been letting in too many soft goals and it's just pissing me off. Lol! I thought a change would do me good. Or my nerves, anyway. Of course it doesn't help that Skrtel plays like a mindless goof quite often and puts him under pressure to make saves that shouldn't have to be made.

                                34. (H) 3-2 win vs Liverpool (Dyer 31' 75', Gomis 78') (Lucas Levia 31', Sterling 84')

A great response from the lads after two straight defeats and another great result against a team in the top 4. We almost got off to the perfect start as the Liverpool defence just seemed to part for Bony almost directly from kick-off but his shot was saved by Jones. The visitors looked sloppy at first but they soon stepped up there game and Schmeichel was forced to make a few good saves and another couple hit the bar. They did take the lead eventually though as Gerrard played a cleaver ground ball into the box from a corner which Lucas Levia absolutely levered into the bottom corner. We did get stronger as time went by though and we had a good spell of play leading up to the half-time break. We continued this pressure straight from the off and Bony slid a through ball through to Dyer who turned past his marker and placed the ball into the far corner to put us back on level pegging. Liverpool tried to respond quickly with some good attacking play and Gerrard almost scored but his powerful shot was tipped onto the post by Schmeichel and he was forced into another save to tip Sturridge's shot over the bar. From the resulting corner the ball was cleared out to Bony who started off the counter attack with a flicked on header to Routledge who stormed up the pitch before squaring it to Dyer who turned past his marker once again to score into the far corner. We doubled out advantage a few minutes later as Dyer (who was causing all sorts of problems for the liverpool defence) put in a cross which Gomis (who had been subbed on only a few moments prior) hit with a powerful header which Jones could only divert into his own net. Liverpool responded well however and as Markovic's shot hit the post the rebound was turned in by Sterling to give the Merseyside club a way back into the game. Sturridge almost put them level again straight from kick off but thankfully his shot was off target. The last chance would again fall to liverpool but Gerrard's shot from range went over the bar and we held onto a good victory and a good response to our poor run.

                                35. (H) 2-0 win vs Hull City (Hanley 7', Gomis 68')

Another win for us in the league as we look to try and catch up with some of the under-performing teams above us. The game started with an unexpected goal from a rare starter Raheem Hanley who smashed the ball into the net from outside the area after Hull failed to properly clear a corner. The visitors tried to respond but they were poor going forward and they ether had there passes intercepted, had the ball taken off them or put the ball wide without really looking like scoring. It was a quiet game until just after the hour mark when Sung-yueng's shot was blocked by the Hull keeper. It wasn't long after that that we got our second goal with some nice passing play allowing Gomis to run into the box and curl the ball into the far corner. We would have another few chances after that but they didn't lead to anything. A pretty boring game but we got the win and that's what really matters.

                                36. (A) 0-3 win vs Aston Villa (Bony 42' 55' 84')

We got out third consecutive victory in this game with a routine win over a poor Aston Villa side. We had the first chance of the game as a ball from a cross was arrowed towards goal by Dyer, forcing a save from Guzan. El Ahmadi almost scored in the 30th minute but his powerful shot grazed the crossbar. Dyer was once again looking menacing as his storming run almost bagged him a goal but his shot bounced agonisingly past the bar. We did get the lead just before half time as Bony lost the ball but it came right back too him and he stormed through the isolated defenders and blasted the ball past Guzan. He almost scored again in the 45th minute as he dispossessed the last defender but his shot was saved. He did get his second not long after the restart as Sigurosson's shot was saved only for the Ivorian to turn it in off the rebound. A howler from Guzan almost lead to out third as the keeper tried to dribble it out from the back but was intercepted by Routledge who had an open goal but whom selfishly passed it to Bony, whose shot was blocked by a back-peddling defender to delay his hatrick. He did get it in the end though after a fantastic cross field, over the top ball from Dyer, which he arched over the onrushing Guzan. The last chance of the game would fall to the hosts as they tried to restore some pride but Agbonlahor's powerful strike was pushed out for a corner by Schmeichel, who has been having a wonderful few games between the sticks.

                                37. (H) 0-1 loss vs Everton (Barkley 90+2')

A completely undeserved loss in a game that should have ended as a draw. The game was end to end stuff with both teams have chances aplenty but both keepers also being in great form. Howard was forced to make a string of saves within the first 20 minutes first to deny Sigurosson and then Bony a few seconds later. Everton came back at us strongly and McGeady forced a fantastic close range save from Schmeichel and Pienaar putting his shot wide. Sigurosson came close just before half time but he blazed his shot wide of the post. Everton started the first half well and Barkley ran through one on one in the 60th minute but he dragged his shot wide. Nothing much happened after this and it looked as though it was going to end as a draw but unfortunately as we pushed too many bodies forward they exploited our lack of players at the back and Barkley was able to put the visitors ahead with virtually the last kick of the match, a low drive to the centre of goal to beat Schmeichel who had done so well to stop everything else. Unlucky to lose and I feel a draw would have been fair but sometimes in football you don't get the result you deserve.
