Re: I wonder if there will be an option to turn off getting fired
I hope so. I've never understood why this isn't in the game. I actually play it safe by saving every couple months so if I get caned I can go back.
It's especially annoying when you use financial takeover. Toss in training youth squad for a season just to be fired for finishing one spot back from where you were supposed to....it's the main reason I put the game down every year.
Fingers crossed -

Yeah, I agree. But I'm optimistic. It wouldn't be that difficult. Then again, lots of stuff wouldn't be and we never see it.
I'm sad again now

Here's why...you are playing MANAGER mode. Not owner mode. So you are the manager not the owner of the team. Meaning you can get fired as a coach and have no say about it.I hope so. I've never understood why this isn't in the game. I actually play it safe by saving every couple months so if I get caned I can go back.

Yeah, I think owner mode would be great. But just like Madden and other sport franchises, having an option to turn off being fired is long overdue in fifa.Comment

No it's not. Because you are playing as a manager. And literally NO manager in the world in ANY sport not just soccer can say that they will be fired.

Re: I wonder if there will be an option to turn off getting fired
The real issue with firing/not firing is the manager goals are out of line. If you move and take over another team, for instance, the goal will be to finish first from mid-table and if you check the standings mathematically it'll mean you have to win every game. The goals are out of whack and the firing is totally based on the goal - and it's not realistic in that it you can have major injuries or other extenuating circumstances and they're not taken into account. It's a simple whacked algorithm and the goals are silly high. You sign one top player and all of the sudden you're supposed to qualify for champion's league.
So we get what you're saying - but the 'override' is a response to the goals being screwy rather than the firing/not firing part.Comment

You realize we're talking about a video game right?Comment

Re: I wonder if there will be an option to turn off getting fired
I get what you are saying but this is a video game. Some people want to only use their favorite club and not have to worry about being fired.

This video game is supposed to be a simulation of the real world so.

How many managers out there manage both a top club and a national team simultaneously?
How many new managers can start at Barcelona?
The realism argument doesn't work.Comment
