Re: I wonder if there will be an option to turn off getting fired
I understand what Redsox is saying, I think he's just missing the point. Having an option to turn off firings wouldn't take any real effort on EA's part.
The main problem people have is that the firings are not realistic. Even if you start with a League 2 team, by the time you reach the Prem your board will be expecting Champs League qualification in your first season. You start with a relegation candidate like Palace or Newcastle and they expect Europa League. Firings are entirely based on achieving board goals and quite literally nothing else.
Also, as people have already pointed out, there is probably a pretty sizable amount of Fifa gamers who simply want to spend all 15 seasons with just their club. They don't care about hopping from club to club or anything else, they just want to build up that specific club, but the game makes it impossible to do that at some point or another.
Simply adding an option to avoid being fired would be very easy to do, and add to a significant amount of people's gaming experience.Comment

I don't get why turning firings off isn't a option, Madden and NHL have it.Mets/Giants/Knicks/Rangers/Manchester United/Notre Dame Football
Never let fear determine who you are. Never let where you came from determine where you are going.Comment

You had to create one in the beta. I couldn't find an option to use an existing.

I'm picking up the game tomorrow and this is one of the first things I'll check out. If no one else has the answer (and/or has done some testing) I'll report back.Comment

Re: I wonder if there will be an option to turn off getting fired
I am using Portsmouth. One of the goals I need to reach is youth development (medium desire according to the board.)
Here's the thing. One would think "youth development," would mean "bring players up through the youth system to become members of the full squad."
Only EA could turn a great idea like that into meaning, "you have 2yrs to use your youth squad players to bring the club millions of dollars, by selling them."
Back to the point........I met every other goal I had. Honestly, unless you sign a youth player in July the first week you start a career, you can't sell them until season two, or MAYBE in January of season one.
Yet, my board started hassling me for not selling youth players I COULDN'T EVEN SELL!
I won the league, made the Fa round of 32, sold out my home games. The board said they would give me one more year to prove myself. In otherwords, "coach, if you don't sell all your awesome youth players you want to keep and build a club around, we are going to fire you even if you get promoted again."
My long drawn out point.......not only is the boaRd a bunch of drunk monkies, the hoops you have to jump through are 100x's more silly. And, it will greatly reduce the teams you use in CM. I won't ever use a team with the youth B.S. because I'm not getting canned for refusing to sell off players I worked hard to develop.
Seeing all of this while I'm playing, and seeing stupid it is.....forget firings being on or off, let us choose what we need to do. For instance I could choose domestic success and Continental success as my high, and other aspects as low. Or if I never wanted to be canned, I could choose everything as a low priority.
I don't get why EA does stuff like this. It seriously makes no sense, and in many ways has made CM even more frustrating.Last edited by BearsNVA; 09-28-2016, 02:48 PM.Comment

Actually.....it seems even more insane this year.
