      OK, I give up. 6 players going out of contract and no money. 3 wanting new contracts. I give up. So please leave a suggestion for who to do a career with, £15 million budget or more please

        An absolutely awful month. What else can I say. I decided to give this career a chance, but in FIFA 15 I will do a takeover. Will there be a FIFA 15 Career Mode thread like this?

        I think so, there was one for FIFA 13 so I'm sure there will be one for FIFA 15. What I've been wondering is if FIFA 15 will even be out on PS3. Has that been confirmed yet by any chance?

        Sorry I couldn't help with the takeover. Sucks seeing it end but hey, this game is supposed to be fun not frustrating. I hope you find the right team! Are you planning on staying in England or trying out a different league?

        I'm currently struggling financially with Wimbledon as well. I've had to make a few cuts to loosen up some funds. I'm taking the domestic cups really seriously as I can get additional funds from them. Even though my last Capital One Cup victory to Wolverhampton earned me a whopping $3,000 prize. -_- lol

          Yes it has been confirmed on PS3 and Xbox 360. Also I'm looking at a different country. I was playing around with a career with Inter Milan, but I'm not sure about it. Unlucky with Wimbledon, hope you can stick with it where I can't.

            AD Alcorcon - '16-'17 Season Update
            Youth Academy review

            I've been talking a lot about the youth movement that I created here. As soon as I arrived to Alcorcon I was faced with a limited roster and even more limited funds. For reference this was my first ever update when I initially made the move to AD Alcorcon on January 2015

            Spoiler

            Fortunately I had a bit more budget here than I have at the start of my Dagenham career and I was able to recognize the plan early, so I went out and hired two scouts: Andre Osorio from Canada has 5-star experience and judgement, while Andres Ramos from Spain has 4-star experience and 3-star judgement. I immediately sent them to Brazil and Argentina to find me some talent. Unfortunately because of the limited roster I had to promote a lot of the kids right away and some of them may have become a bit of an after thought. There are currently 37 players on my squad, 10 of them out on loan. Of the 27 on my roster more than half of them (14) came from the Youth Academy, including 3 starters and most of my main subs.

            (NOTE: this post got larger than anticipated so the spoiler below will show you all players currently on my squad - starters, bench, reserves, out on loan - that have come from my YA.)

            Spoiler

            The Youth Academy (as ranked by me)
            1. Alex Navas (GK, 60-64 OVR, 89-94 Potential)16 Y/O from Venezuela. I know from coaching the national team that he's currently a 61 OVR with no relevant rating in the 70's. My hope is that he'll stick in the YA until May 1st and get a boost in ratings that will allow me to call him up and sell my 78 OVR starter for over his value of $6 million.
            2. Maximilian Knoll (MID, 48-56, 80-94) 16 Y/O from Germany. Projects as a CAM.
            3. Patrick Sobiech (MID, 44-52, 69-83) 15 Y/O from Germany. Projects as a CDM.
            4. Florian Nickenig (DEF, 36-42, 70-82) 15 Y/O from Germany. Projects as a CDM/CB.
            5. Hiroya Tamazaki (RM/RW, 56-60, 73-79) 16 Y/O from Japan may get the call after May of this year (2017). Will come in with decent speed (64-70 acc, 58-64 spd).
            6. Patricio Estrada (RM/RW, 52-56, 74-80) 17 Y/O from Peru may get the call after May of this year.
            7. Hiroya Imada (ATT, 48-50, 74-80) 16 Y/O from Japan could very well be a CAM/CF/ST.
            8. Xavier Camacho (CM, 53-57, 73-79) 18 Y/O from Spain probably won't wait too long to demand a call up. Hopefully he waits till May.
            9. Kevin Vrancic (DEF, 37-45. 66-82) 15 Y/O from Germany. I think he may end up being a LB.
            10. Marco Bungert (DEF/MID, 42-46, 72-80) 17 Y/O from Germany. At 6'5" I hope he'll be a CB but I will settle for a CDM.
            11. Markus Goretzka (DEF, 34-42, 65-81) 15 Y/O from Germany will likely be a CB.
            12. Mathias Unnerstall (DEF/MID, 42-46, 71-79) 16 Y/O from Germany will be either a CDM or CB.
            13. Adam Lee (DEF/MID, 41-45, 71-79) 16 Y/O from England will be either a CDM or CB.
            14. Craig Agyakwa (DEF, 38-44, 67-79) 17 Y/O from England projects as a CB.
            15. Simon Mustafi (GK, 46-50, 72-80) 16 Y/O from Germany had much higher potential when first signed and may end up being a candidate for early promotion/loan or cut from the academy.

            Osorio and Ramos are currently out in Nigeria and South Korea respectively looking for wingers (SPEED). Their second month report will come in less than a week. Here's what they've found so far:

            Osorio (Nigeria)
            * Joshua Yeboah (DEF/MID,36-46, 70-94, 15 Y/O).
            * Kwaw Aldoo (MID/ATT, 44-60, 64-88, 16 Y/O).
            * Mohammed Odoom (MID/ATT, 48-64, 65-87, 16 Y/O).
            * Obafemi Ankrah (MID/ATT, 41-55, 63-85, 16 Y/O).
            * Zende Delle (DEF/MID, 43-57, 67-89, 16 Y/O).
            --> Yes, I have my eye on Yeboah but will wait to see if his potential will stay there after the 2nd report. I feel like a lot of the Germans I have in the academy had higher potential when I signed them).

            Ramos (South Korea)
            * Hyeon Chui Cho (DEF/MID, 32-42, 56-74, 16 Y/O).
            * Sang Hun Lim (DEF/MID, 34-46, 56-76, 16 Y/O).
            * Sung Su Kim (DEF/MID/ATT, 45-59, 63-85).

              Wow, my problems seem a lot less worse than yours.

              Since the 2-2 against Fulham, I've been failing to get a win. I'm at the point where I've dropped out of the top 4 in January, and I'm slightly demotivated. Buckley has lost his dribbling skills, Bendtner is getting isolated, Hajrovic is struggling to find scoring form, and the midfield seems disjointed. But the defence is in shambles, Dunk is being caught out so often (Kongolo broke his ankle in early December, out until March).

              Really thinking of packing it in and moving to a bigger club, taking Buckley/Bridcutt/Forster with me. I'll play out this season with Brighton, but I can't see myself staying past the summer.

                I agree. I know the feeling looking at all those offers, but you've done brilliant work here so far, so why stop now? In a couple seasons time you'll be better then all those teams that are offering you to join. Can't a man run a successful football club without being offered a job?
                That's just my opinion, if you feel it would be more enjoyable elsewhere then it's your choice no one's stopping you.

                    One of those strange bad runs of form. Have you tried switching to a formation that would address the problems you listed?

                    We're with you on whatever you decide Indi! You've spent quite some time in England already, perhaps one of the reasons why you've grown bored with it?

                      I did try a few new formations, including five and three at the back. Nothing's working out, and I really think it's a case of Kongolo being so vital to the way I play. Defence feels so weak without him to keep things in balance.

                      And yeah, I have been in England for a while now. Only league I haven't won yet in this year's game is Bundesliga, but I don't want to move to Bayern, and the club I choose has to give me enough money to bring Buckley, Bridcutt and Forster with me.

                      I don't know, the more I look at it, the more sense it makes to stick around. Perhaps I'll do just that and leave for a bigger club once I've brought the EPL and UCL trophies to Brighton. For now, it's January and I have to sell Dunk and bring in a new centre back who's good with both feet.

                        Breaking News

                        There's been a lot of firsts in the Chavez Era at AFC Wimbledon, and now we have another to add to that list! Aaron Morris has just became the first ever AFC Wimbledon player to be called up to a senior national team!

                        The 27 year old Centre Back from Wales was a non-negotiable starter in the League 2 and League 1, but following the formation change at the beginning of this season he has been relegated to the bench for the first time since Chavez's arrival. Regardless of his decreased playing time, he's still a very important player for Wimbledon as he can cover all positions in a back line of 4, as well as a holding and/or central midfielder. His versatility is most likely one of the stronger reasons behind his international call up.

                        Last season Wales approached Chavez for the available international coaching job, but Chavez respectfully declined. It is believed that he declined to jump on the international stage because he wanted his players to be called up before him, most likely to avoid controversy if he was the first coach to give his players an international cap. If that is true, then now comes the possibility of Chavez picking up an international job.

                        A rather jubilant Morris pulled over for us as he was driving out of the Wimbledon facilities:

                        "The feeling is incomparable. Not only for my club's achievement, but for my own as well. The last time I played international football was at the U-21 level and I've been dying to get a chance to prove myself and show what I've learned under Chavez."

                        Morris will have the chance to be shoulder to shoulder with players like Aaron Ramsey and Gareth Bale. Wimbledon fans can expect great things from him in the future following the experience that can only be achievable through international football.

                        Wales will be facing Romania and Bulgaria this week. Thank you for tuning in, as always a pleasure. This has been ChicoBass. Until next time!

                          Excellent! I love seeing a player I've developed get called up to represent his nation, but also feel weird to be the one to do so first. Great work, be interested to see which national job you take up.

                            Exactly. Or at least, since no one from this club has ever been called up ever since the club was founded I don't think it would have felt as fulfilling had I been the first to call anyone up from this team. I've only received offers from Peru and Venezuela this season so I'm gonna wait and see what else I get. It's been two years I think it's time I accept a national team

                              December 2015

                              Brighton 1-1 Spurs

                              Poor draw that ought to have ended in a Brighton win.

                              Norwich 4-3 Brighton

                              Absolutely ripped apart in the rain by a clinical Norwich. Our first loss of the season.

                              Brighton 0-2 Chelsea

                              Chelsea were just too good for us. The bad form continues.

                              Southampton 2-1 Brighton

                              Hard-fought, but we managed to come away with all three points.

                              January 2016

                              Brighton 3-1 Man. United

                              Excellent performance from us, but it needs to keep going from here.

                              Stoke 0-2 Brighton

                              Clinical win. Nothing pretty, just did what we had to do.

                              Brighton 5-0 S****horpe (FA Cup, Round 3)

                              Match simmed.

                              Chelsea 3-3 Brighton (Capital One Cup, Semifinal 1A)

                              Ridiculous. We scored, they scored. They scored, we scored. Two goals in injury time.

                              Brighton 3-1 Liverpool

                              Ravaged by injury, Liverpool were forced to play Iago Aspas and paid for it. Coutinho scored and was sold to Barcelona for £29 million a day later.

                              Nott'm. Forest 2-3 Brighton

                              Two goals we didn't need to concede, but at least we won.

                              Brighton 5-4 Chelsea (Capital One Cup, Semifinal 1B)

                              The game that almost gave me a heart attack. The ref favoured Chelsea, but we managed to win and score a late penalty to go through to the final.

                              Brighton 3-1 Millwall (FA Cup, Round 4)

                              Match simmed.

                              February 2016

                              Brighton 1-0 Southampton

                              Clinical win. Buckley's solo effort takes him to 12 league goals for the season.

                              Brighton 2-0 Sunderland

                              Shambles from the Wearsiders, excellence from us. Hajrovic at the double.

                              Leeds 1-2 Brighton (FA Cup, Round 5)

                              Match simmed.

                              Brighton 2-1 United (Capital One Cup, Final)

                              Gut-wrenching to concede an early goal, spiriting to equalise soon after, and unbelievable to win it. Brighton's first major honour and my first trophy with them. Buckley scores the winner and gets man of the match, deserved.

                              Indiblue's Analysis

                              Wow, just wow. What an absolutely belting few months for us. December was fairly poor as we picked up just 4 out of 12 possible points, but things really turned around in the new year.

                              Greer moved to Birmingham because he missed playing regularly, while McGovern was transfer listed and moved to Ross County. I brought in Trent Sainsbury, an Australian centre back, as a replacement. He's pacey, good in defence, and has a 4-star weak foot. Cost me £3.6 million, which was no issue as the board gave me an additional £6.5 million to qualify for Champions League.

                              We went from strength to strength in January, winning all four league fixtures including Manchester United and Liverpool. The two legs of the Capital One Cup semifinals against Chelsea were insane. We progressed to the final 8-7 on aggregate, with Buckley winning it with a last-minute penalty in injury time of the second leg.

                              I've decided to stay at Brighton, so I made preparations for next season. Maxime Gonalons and Alexandre Lacazette from Lyon, and Gregory van der Wiel from PSG were signed on pre-contract agreements using almost all my transfer money pumped into wages. A last-minute deal that would have seen Bendtner switch to Roma fell through at the last minute because Mattia Destro didn't want to leave Italy.

                              February was quite good. We had two league games and won them both, then beat Leeds to make the FA Cup quarterfinals against Aston Villa, who we play in the league that same week in March. But the icing on the cake was the Capital One Cup final against Manchester United.

                              Darren Fletcher scored in the third minute from a well-delivered corner, but we didn't lose hope. About 20 minutes later, Liam Moore popped a right-footed volley that hit the post and went in. Late in the second half, Bendtner was put through by Buckley and shot low and hard. Lindegaard saved, but Buckley chipped the rebound over him and grabbed the winner! Cue Brighton's first piece of major silverware, and my first with the Seagulls!

                              Buckley is a phenomenon. He's on 20 goals in all competitions, with Bendtner on 19 (with 11 assists) and Hajrovic on 14. Forster has played over 30 games and kept 19 clean sheets. We're second on the table as of February 1, a point behind City but with a game in hand, and three points ahead of Chelsea on level games. The title is very much still a possibility, but I won't be leaving even if we win it. I need to give Champions League a go with Brighton!

                              Oh, and a matter of pride for me as Buckley was finally called up to the England national team. Of course the man of the moment scored a hat-trick on his international debut against Romania. I will be taking an international job, either this summer after the Euros or later this year. I've been getting offers from big nations like Uruguay and France, but I'm holding out for either England or Netherlands to make an offer. Fiorentina came calling as well, but I said no thanks.

                                For my new career mode I am going to play through the transfer window of 5 different careers. I will post all 5 here and afterwards, tell me which you enjoy most. I will then take into account my enjoyability and your enjoyability as factors. Also, for FIFA 15, I shall bring back Coventry, playing the first season and the performing a financial takeover.

                                Disclaimer: My Liverpool and Coventry careers are not gone, just don't expect them. There may be another update of Liverpool and Coventry this week. Also, on Friday I am going to the Italian Alps with school for 8 days, but when I get back prepare for a barrage of updates
