I would prefer a team that sacked their manager in the 2013 offseason to make it realistic or a team that did poorly the season before.

    Any suggestions?
While they didn't sack their Manager before the start of the season Fulham was the first team that came in my head. Theres also Sunderland and of course the relegated teams Reading and QPR.

When this happens there's still a chance. What I did with Worner (who said the exact same thing) is I just waited a few weeks before offering him the contract again and he accepted. Basically waited for 3 of the in-game stories to come out about him. Aside from more money, other things you could offer him that might convince him are upgrading his squad role, or adding bonuses.

The easiest way if you really want to keep him, is just offer a contract and if he declines, quit and reload and do it again.

Re: How's Your FIFA 14 Career Mode Going?

A friend and I have made us an challenge:

The new challenge: Heart of Midlothian
        Transfer budget: €375 000

        - Max 25 players in the squad
        - Do not own, buy or rent players over 19 years
        - Only buy players from Scotland, Ireland, Northern Ireland, Wales, England, Australia, New Zealand, Japan and Iceland (from different islands)
        - Do not pay more than € 2.5 million (in the future, maybe ;-) Now is the limit €2-300 000) for new players
        - During the first 3 transfer windows: - Sell/ put on free transfer all players over 19 years- Sell/ put on free transfer all players who are not from the countries mentioned above

        Objectives:
Season 1: Survive as manager of the club by meeting the Board's requirements
Season 2: Getting on the upper half of the series and reach the quarter finals of the national cup
Season 3: Qualify for the European Cup and reach the semi-finals of the national cup
Season 4: Winning the series, national cup and reach the semi-finals of the European Cup

Would like to have players that are 16-18 years old and develop rapidly. Quickly increase - more cash in the bank when they are sold at 19-20 years of age.

First transfer window I sold 4 players and bought:
        GK:
        C. Burton €60 000
        CB:
        R. Streete €50 000
        D. Daniels €100 000
        RM:
        Jacob Murphy €270 000
        CDM:
        S. Obileye €120 000
        D. Alli €235 000
        ST:
        M. Lecointe €225 000
I also got me an scout (*/** stars)
        Any recommended players for me?
I need a GK, LB. RB, couple of CB and a CM

Against Udinese in my first game of the season I tied 1-1. They scored early in the first half with a penalty kick. With Klose I scored in the 45th minute to level the score. Sadly, Klose tore his hamstring in the 85th minute.

Wow. I beat Juventus 5-3. I got off to a 3-0 lead in the first half but they bounced back and scored two quick goals. Then I scored two more goals to seal the win. Helder Postiga, Mauri, and Biglia scored once while Candreva scored twice.

Then I beat Chievo Verona 2-1. Ederson scored both goals early in the second half. They had more shots on goal and more possession but they still lost. I am now third in the tables with 7 points in 3 games.

I'd definitely go with Hamburg SV because of the multiple competitions you can be in (league, cups, Champions, Europa League, etc). It's also where my boy Tomas Rincon plays

I guess i should , ill show you a list of players that i might buy !

                    1 - Tom Ince / Blackpool / Potential 84
                    2 - Will Hughes / Derby / 83
                    3 - Memphis Depay / PSV / 85
                    4. Pajtim Kasami
You may recall his outstanding wonder goal for Fulham against Crystal Palace in the Barclays Premier League recently. Pajtim Kasami is a perfect CAM for any team that’s looking to build for the future, and his age at the start of the game is 21 and he develops quite rapidly as well. Literally an all-rounder, Kasami is tall for headers, he can pass, shoot and dribble when called upon to make a terrific acquisition to any squad.
                    5. Kelvin
Kelvin is the heart and soul of the FC Porto team, and is an absolute must if you want bargain players that develop quickly for your FIFA 14 career mode. He’s blessed with terrific curve and dribbling stats and is able to play on wither side of the wings. He can be acquired for as little as £3M and he starts at the tender age of 20.

As in for wingers (pace) , i've nominated a couple
                    1 : Luciano Narsingh / PSV / 92 Pace
                    2 : Ryo Myachi / Arsenal / 92 pace

As in for forwards , these are the people who i nominated :
                    1: Max Meyer / 86 potential
                    2 : Draxler / 90 pot
                    3 : Emre Can / 86 pot

As in for center backs (defense ) , couldn't find a lot just one person that i sorta liked :

                    1 : Matthias Ginter : Freiburg / 86 pot ,

Are they good, would love some feedback

I always recommend Hamburg. They're the team that attracts me the most in Germany. With all of those transfer targets looks like you're gonna be cleaning out the squad though. Have you tried out the team already to see where you need improvement or who to keep?

As Vrabbit said, earn your way to Europe. The only time I use the European in first season option is when I'm using a team that consistently qualifies to Europe each and every season IRL. If it's a team that only qualifies sometimes, I make my own way to Europe.

I'm looking at a Bundesliga team for a future career as well. I like Hamburg, but I might pick up Union Berlin and build them up. So many teams I want to use but I'm tied to Wimbledon at the moment! Lol

Honestly I was thinking I could make it to at least the promotion playoffs, but right now I'm currently in a auto-promotion spot on goal difference! Could I go for a 3rd consecutive league title? Looks tough, but my competition has slipped up in the recent weeks :0

Man I need that money. I have another player demanding a raise and 4 others who's contracts are expiring and I'm nearing January. Can't afford to send scouts anywhere at all right now, and when my final scout report from Scotland came in I couldn't even afford signing 1 more player to my youth academy. Lost some young players that could have been promising. We're hurting pretty bad right now financially.

Tough it out, because your first Europa League payday is coming in December. A few million at least, so use it well!

I know can't wait for that paycheck! First order of business will be getting the club back on it's feet, but after that I'm still not sure what to do with it. Never had that kind of money here you know! There's only one player I'm looking at: Wolverhampton's Lee Evans (Wales) who has hardly played for the Wolves this season. I was gonna look for a good CDM (possibly Basham from Blackpool) but Hird has been playing amazingly well at only 61 overall. George Francomb (sold in my first season) doesn't fit in Ipswich Town's 5-2-1-2 system so I might bring him back to Wimbledon and offer him real playing time. Might just use the leftover money for an improved youth system. Don't know what to do with so much money! Haha
