Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?
Penultimate month of my 1st season as Tottenham hope you all enjoy!
APRIL
BARCLAYS PREMIER LEAGUE
BURNLEY 1-2 TOTTENHAM
It was a game of goalkeeping errors at Turf Moor as twice Tom Heaton gave possession away, leading to Roberto Soldado goals, the second of which came from the spot. A poor clearance in the 2nd half gave Burnley a lifeline as Sam Vokes thrashed in but Spurs hung on to claim all 3 points.
TOTTENHAM 2–1 LEICESTER
All 3 goals, including a penalty each for both sides came in the first eleven minutes as Townsend got the ball rolling after just 1 minute and 20 seconds. Leicester will be fuming that Fazio didn’t see red for his last man challenge, which would have undoubtedly changed proceedings with 80 minutes still to play.
TOTTENHAM 3–1 ASTON VILLA
After a goalless first period which lacked any creativity, the early stages of the 2nd completely juxtaposed it. Soldado scored after Eriksen’s cut back, only for N’Zogbia to return the favour almost straight from the restart. 2 goals in 3 minutes from Spurs killed the tie, with Eriksen himself getting the all-important third, after Stambouli had regained the lead.
NEWCASTLE 1–0 TOTTENHAM
Jack Colback gave the Tyneside club the lead seeing his finish hit the post on its way to finding the back of the net. A series of excellent saves towards the end from Tim Krul denied Spurs a way back into the game, damaging their title hopes.
SOUTHAMPTON 2–3 TOTTENHAM
An Emmanuel Adebayor hat trick gave Spurs an important away win, keeping up the pressure on leaders Chelsea. Southampton never lead at any stage throughout the game, but a brace from Pelle gave maintained their spirits throughout. They piled on the pressure towards the end, and Tottenham were reduced to 10 men thanks to Vertonghen’s red card, but Spurs held on to take 3 points.
Standings at the end of April
After 34 games (Man City have a game in hand)
1) Tottenham 72 points
2) Chelsea 70 points
3) Manchester United 67 points
4) Manchester City 67 points
5) Liverpool 65 points
6) Arsenal 58 points
Monthly review: 12 points out of a possible 15 was a very pleasing return from a pivotal month in the calendar, and we now sit top with just 4 games remaining of the season. The performances have definitely shown more composure to our game, hence showing an improvement in results. Unfortunately our star player Christian Eriksen has been ruled out for a month with a knee injury, and it is entirely possible he won’t feature again this season. This is a worry because in our remaining games we face Manchester City and Everton.Comment

Its actually funny how EA thinks everyone at PSV will be a star, Every year its like that but in reallife like one or two maximum break through , the rest just flops the rest of their careers.Comment

No not really, In fact its the same with the most of Dutch team, We Feyenoorders dont really see PSV Feyenoord as a rivalry, the one and Only Rivalry/Derby that matters to us is Ajax v Feyenoord, It has been that way for a long time now and that wont chance.Comment

A great game was played between two good teams in the Capital One Cup's second round. Manchester City, who won the competition last season, were the favourites against Swansea who had a great start to the season. The entertaining match was won after extra time by Ganchev's Welsh side. The game started well for the Swans as they kept the ball and played their possession game. They scored the first goal couple minutes after the half hour mark when Joel Campbell ran in the box from the left. He unleashed a powerful shot at the near post which wasn't saved by Joe Hart. Five minutes later Bony had a shot which was deflected by Kolarov to his own net. After half time City put themselves together and they managed to grab one back with Stevan Jovetic slotting the ball in the bottom right corner. Fifteen minutes later Sergio Agüero equalised the game after dibbling past Swansea's centre backs. Neither team scored and the game went to extra time which started off pretty equally. Then in the 105th minute before the short break Wayne Routledge passed the ball from the left to Sergi Roberto in the box. The young midfielder curled the ball past Joe Hart to grab his team the winning goal! About ten minutes later Jonjo Shelvey scored the fourth after a counter attack to secure the victory and the surprise in the cup.

Press Conference
You are first in the league and you're unbeaten in all competitions. Did you think you would be this succesful?
I need to be honest, I wasn't expecting this much success. I knew this team had quality to compete for Europa League spots and to challenge the top teams but I didn't expect us to be in first after two months.
Do you think you can win the league this season?
I don't know about that, probably not. There are still 32 games left and everything can happen in them. Of course I hope and want to be at the top in May but I don't think that will happen. You never know, though.
What's the reason behind your success lately?
Hard work, good playing style, good strategies and great team play. The guys are playing really well together and they know exactly what to do in each situation. Our defence doesn't leave too much space, our midfield moves well and combines greatly with our attackers and defence and our strikers are clinical and playing well. We have lots of pace on the wings which helps in counter attacks. Then we have Gylfi Sigurdsson as our number 10, who is a great player. Just look at what he did against Southampton! He received the ball in the middle of the pitch and then he ran through the whole half of the pitch before stepovering past their defender and putting the ball in the net. I think Gylfi is our best and most important player.
But he's injured again. When will he be back?
Sad but true. He's been unlucky lately and he's picked up two injuries already. He will return in about three weeks this time so expect to see him then.
What do you think about your summer signings so far?
Let's start from the defence. Jon Flanagan has been wonderful as our left back which lead to him taking the starting spot from Neil Taylor who will still get a lot of playing time. Jon has been solid defensively and offensively and it's good to see him develope. Winston Reid hasn't played much yet but I think he's a great back-up defender. Sergi Roberto and Adrien Rabiot have both been good and important in the midfield and they are likely to get more playing time since Britton is getting older. Joel Campbell on the wing has been tremendous with his speed and dribbling. It's unbelievable that we got him for under three million.
How is Wales compared to Spain?
It rains much more and it's a bit cooler and windier than Spain but I've adapted well. I think the women are a bit uglier here but I like those dark haired women more and I have a wife so that's not important. The food here is good but the Spanish meat is better. They do have a lot of lamb here, though.
Thank you for reading this post! I hope you have enjoyed it! Any feedback or suggestions will be appreciated!

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?
FIFA 15 (PS3)
January 2015
FA: West Brom 3-2 Charlton
A goal each from Stephane Sessegnon, Sebastien Pocognoli, and Victor Anichebe was enough to send West Brom into the fourth round of this year's FA Cup, despite answers from Charlton in the form of a goal each for Johnnie Jackson and Jack Munns.
Baggies bag Redmond at the last minute
Nathan Redmond agreed a last-minute transfer on deadline day, moving from Norwich City to West Bromwich Albion for a fee of £7.5 million and signing a five-year deal. The promising, young English winger was visibly and understandably excited to be back in the Premier League.
"I couldn't wait to get back to the top flight, and originally, I wanted to do it with Norwich. But the club couldn't turn down the money West Brom offered them, and anyway, I think the project Indi Blue is working on is worth being a part of. I hope I can hit the ground running and contribute to the season."
With club captain Chris Brunt likely to hold on to his starting berth on the left side of midfield, Redmond is likely to serve as an impact substitute until the summer. Failing that, he will have to compete with on-loan Portugal native Silvestre Varela for a role on the opposite flank, where he is equally comfortable.
February 2015
PL: Burnley 1-2 West Brom
Lukas Jutkiewicz opened the scoring for the home side, but Saido Berahino and Victor Anichebe scored a goal each in the second half to turn the game on its head and give the visitors all the points.
PL: West Brom 2-2 Swansea
Wilfried Bony tucked away an early penalty to give the Welsh side the lead, while Jonjo Shelve rose highest to head in off a corner just before the break. A second-half brace from Victor Anichebe, following straight reds to Ashley Richards and Angel Rangel, ended things level.
PL: West Brom 1-2 Tottenham
Joleon Lescott bagged his first goal since returning from injury, but it was a mere consolation in injury time as the damage had been done courtesy Emmanuel Adebayor and Roberto Soldado, each scoring in either half.
FA: West Brom 3-0 Brighton
Chris Brunt, Victor Anichebe, and Georgios Samaras scored a goal apiece to push their side through to the quarter-finals of the FA Cup. The competition heats up now, with the Baggies set to face Sunderland in the next round.
Reid injury worse than expected
Winston Reid was ruled out of action for as long as three months with damage to his lateral collateral ligament, a similar injury to Joleon Lescott's from earlier in the season.
PL: Sunderland 0-1 West Brom
Saido Berahino's dipping free kick in the 33rd minute was the difference between these two sides, who squared off in their second league match of the season as a precursor to their FA Cup tie.
March 2015
CO: Tottenham 2-1 West Brom
The final of the Capital One Cup had both halves of Wembley buzzing with excitement, with the Londoners gaining more voice following Erik Lamela's early goal. Chris Brunt tucked away a penalty after Vlad Chiriches was found guilty of handling in the area, but a late goal from Nacer Chadli meant that Tottenham were crowned winners.
PL: Aston Villa 1-5 West Brom
Gabriel Agbonlahor scored first for the home side, sending his supporters into a rapture. Little did they know the fate that awaited them. Stephane Sessegnon blasted home three in the first half, before setting up Victor Anichebe and Saido Berahino in the second to round out a 5-1 thumping of West Brom's arch-rivals.
PL: West Brom 0-2 Southampton
Shane Long beat the West Brom defence not once, not twice, not thrice, but six times during this match! Luckily for the hosts, a combination of nerves from the Irishman and tight reflexes from Ben Foster in goal ensured that they only conceded twice.
FA: Sunderland 0-1 West Brom
Stephane Sessegnon scored a marvellous free kick against his former employers in the 12th minute, and no further goals were scored despite Sunderland's frenetic attack and 22 shots. A wasteful Steven Fletcher ended the game with 12 shots, none of them on target.
PL: West Brom 3-2 Stoke
Mame Diouf opened the scoring for the Potters despite some good defending from the hosts, but Victor Anichebe levelled the score soon after. Stephane Sessegnon scored a second, which was answered by Marko Arnautovic. Nathan Redmond scored his first goal for West Brom late on, after Victor Moses was sent off.
April 2015
PL: West Brom 2-1 QPR
Victor Anichebe and Chris Brunt both headed in fine goals, but it is Charlie Austin's overhead kick that will grab all the headlines from this close game that really could have gone either way.
PL: West Brom 1-1 Leicester
James Morrison returned to the fold as West Brom reverted to the 4-1-4-1 formation, and scored after 16 games without an appearance. The Scot's goal was cancelled out by a late David Nugent penalty, following a foul for which Nathan Ake was sent off.
Dorrans listed as 'for sale'
Scotland international Graham Dorrans has been made available for transfer by West Bromwich Albion, after the Glasgow native sought out crunch talks with Indi Blue, who told him that he could not offer the Baggies veteran any guarantee of playing time.
PL: Man. City 3-1 West Brom
Jordi Hiwula got a rare start for Manchester City and scored the first goal, while James Milner and Matija Nastasic also got in on the action. James Morrison continues to impress immediately upon return with another finely taken goal.
FA: West Brom 2-3 Newcastle
James Morrison proved his worth by opening the scoring, and Chris Brunt scored a free kick to help West Brom enter the break with a 2-0 cushion. Poor defending in the second half allowed Vurnon Anita, Jonas Gutierrez, and Remy Cabella to secure the win and reach the final ahead of the Baggies.
PL: West Brom 0-1 Liverpool
Jordan Henderson impressed both sides with a stunning drive from nearly 30 yards out, scoring his 14th of the season. It turned out to be a huge goal, and the only difference between two evenly matched sides.
PL: Man. United 3-1 West Brom
Radamel Falcao, Wayne Rooney, and Miralem Pjanic ran riot over West Brom with their pace and power. Chris Brunt scored a tap-in after being set up by Silvestre Varela, but it was nothing more than a consolation.
May 2015
PL: West Brom 0-1 Crystal Palace
What could have been a boring, bland affair was spiced up by two red cards, one for each side. While the hosts had Saido Berahino sent off with 30 minutes played, the visitors went a man down when Mile Jedinak received a second yellow an hour into proceedings. Silvestre Varela scored an injury-time goal to get The Hawthorns buzzing.
PL: Newcastle 1-1 West Brom
Siem de Jong and Joleon Lescott both scored identical goals for their sides, rising highest on a corner to send a looping header past the opposing keeper. The game ended as a stalemate, which suits West Brom far more than it does Newcastle.
PL: West Brom 0-0 Chelsea
The Baggies played out their first goalless draw of the season in their penultimate league match, keeping a rampaging Chelsea at bay. Ben Foster played a huge part, making 11 saves and completing all of his 24 passes.
PL: Arsenal 2-1 West Brom
Danny Welbeck and Alexis Sanchez bagged a goal each for the Gunners, for whom a win was vital to get automatic entry to next year's Champions League group stage. Silvestre Varela scored a consolation for the visitors, but the goal also ended up keeping Arsenal in fourth place, while Chelsea beat Sunderland 4-0 to claim the league title.

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?
But more to the point, I like Feyenoord best out of all the Dutch clubs. PSV seems too company-focused, and I went to one Ajax game and disliked the atmosphere and fans very much. I also quite like Feyenoord's academy. My favourite player of the moment is Jordy Clasie, someone I've been meaning to buy in a career for ages.Comment

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?
Interesting, I feel the same way about Chelsea that you do about Feyenoord, though I wasn't born one... my old man is Everton through and through, but failed to convert me! I think that's his greatest disappointment, lol.

MAY
BARCLAYS PREMIER LEAGUE
TOTTENHAM 0–1 MANCHESTER CITY
The end of season crunch match went in favour of the visitors as Sergio Aguero’s solitary goal puts Man City in pole position to land their second consecutive title. Tottenham threw everything at City towards the end but spirited defending might have ended their dreams of a first ever Premier League title.
STOKE 3–2 TOTTENHAM
A first half capitulation from the away side rather gifted Stoke the 3 points without the 2nd period even being played. A late brace from Paulinho gave the travelling fans some hope but back to back defeats have rather Spurs’ title winning aspirations.
TOTTENHAM 5–1 HULL
Another awful start saw the Tigers take an early lead through Gaston Ramirez but a forced substitution changed proceedings. Adebayor came on and bagged a brace, the returning Eriksen scored along with Harry Kane who started his first Premier League game of the season. A Harry Maguire own goal capped the game off, as we left the White Hart Lane faithful with something to cheer about.
EVERTON 1–2 TOTTENHAM
A brace from Christian Eriksen made sure that we went out in style with an impressive win at Everton. The Dane gave us the lead twice, with Lukaku scoring past Brad Friedel in the Americans last ever game at the age of 43.

Right Empoli is going through some growing pains. Right I am in early November coming off an upset win of Juventus at home. The month of October saw us draw one match and lose two others.
Next up is a Tin Cup round three matchup with Udinese we have three key members out with injuries. So it has been a challenging stretch, but we are growing and are mid-table right now.Currently playing: (In order of Most Time)
