Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?
Aston Villa 14-15 Season
Alright so I just started my Aston Villa career and also this is my first time starting a career mode diary basically by coming here and posting after every few games.
So I arrived in Villa Park making some changes.
Transfers IN : Umiti - 10,5mil, Januzaj - Loan, Tielemans - 9,5 mil
Transfers OUT : Vlaar - 9mil
I decided to sell Vlaar since he wouldn't grow anymore as a player, with his money I bought Umiti thinking about the future, I also loaned Januzaj to help me in the left side of the field and also bought Tielemans. I know this season we won't win anything but I'm building a team for the future or even the 2nd season and I'm counting on bagging one superstar player on a free transfer come January window. Although I got a problem with all these players coming in and possibly Byram coming in for 5mil I will only have thousands left in the bank so I need to sell players now to make money ASAP.Last edited by rody2k6; 10-14-2014, 10:33 PM.Playing: Nba 2k11 (360)

Re: How's Your FIFA 14 Career Mode Going?
Dagenham '16-17 Season
Preseason Update
TRANSFERS OUT: Ryan Mason (CAM, 68 OVR), sold to Leeds United for $1.3 million.
TRANSFERS IN: Marian Sarr (CB, 68 OVR), purchased from Borussia Dortmund for $500K.
As you may recall the board gave us $1.2 million in transfer budget this season to go with $6K wages. We went ahead and sold Mason to acquired additional funds now that Monzon is settled in as the starting CAM and then purchased Sarr to replace Miyoshi at the left CB spot since the Japanese youngster wasn't performing as well as we wanted. Other than that we're staying put and will continue to utilize the remaining funds ($700K/$14K when split evenly) in our academy as well as gather up funds for the winter transfer window. We have a young squad that will continue to get better. Speaking of the academy, we also went ahead and promoted Victor Meyer (CM, 61 OVR) from the youth squad since most of the backup midfielders on our roster were rated in the mid 50's.
Here's how we fared in the preseason:
Dagenham - SC Olhanense (4-1)
Reyna '5
Monzon '24 (P)
Reyna '41
Lucas Sousa '56
Collins '61
Recap: A very pleasant start to the preseason. Keep in mind Sarr did not join the team until after the 2nd preseason game. Collins and Nimely were very active up front while Reyna showed he's ready to repeat last season's incredible form.
Cagliari - Dagenham (1-1)
Sau '16
Collins '78
Recap: A more challenging match in a game where we mixed some of our B team in with the regular starters. Collins saved the day near the end to keep us from losing, continuing a solid performance in the preseason.
Dagenham - Atalanta (1-0)
Meyer '72
Recap: The backups started this game and went toe to toe with the Italian club but it wasn't until shortly after Meyer came in as a sub in the second half that they were able to find the back of the net on a perfectly executed team play (several passes involved).
So there you have it, we get through the preseason undefeated and ready to take on the new season. The next update will come at the end of August at which point we will have 6 games played, 5 league games plus we'll host Leeds United in the Capital One Cup. I'll remind you that: 1) I haven't fared too well in cups in this CM, and 2) I've set a goal to win every competition I'll be in this season, so this cup game is very important to me.
As far as the academy goes I'll include that in the next update. There have been no additions in the offseason and we're sorting out where we want to send our scouts right now.
Wish me luck!vrabbit

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?
Arsene Wenger surprisingly hung up his coaching boots today. "It's time for me to do something different," said the coaching legend at his press conference. Many wonder who is going to coach the 'Gunners'? "The biggest challenge we're going to face as a club is that transition from Arsene to the next manager," said Gazidis.
Sean Smith is hired to continue what Arsene started. "Mr. Kronke has hired me to continue the winning tradition of Arsenal FC," says the new coach. The job will not come without challenges, with the likes of Chelsea, Manchester City, Liverpool favored to fight for the Premier League title, Manchester United will be better, and Tottenham of course will challenge Arsenal for North London supremacy.
The Team
GK: Szczesny, Martinez, Ospina, Vickers
CB: Mertesacker, Koscielny
RB: Debuchy, Chambers, Hector Bellerin, Jenkinson (out on loan)
LB: Gibbs, Monreal
CDM: Arteta, Flamini
CM: Ramsey, Diaby, Wilshire, Toral (Out on loan), Zelalem
CAM: Ozil, Rosicky
LM/LW: Santi Carzola, Podolski, Coquelin
RM/RW: Sanchez, Walcott, Oxlaide-Chamberlain, Campbell, Wellington Silva (Out on loan), Miyachi (Out on loan), Gnarby
ST: Giroud, Welbeck, Sangoo, Afobe (Out on loan)
During the Summer Transfer period, the Board wants me to find a Striker and 1-2 Centerbacks.
My teams: Cowboys, Knicks, Braves, Arsenal FC, Nittany Lions

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?
Torino's pursuit of Ramires looks to have come to an end. Although the Italian club agreed a fee with Chelsea the players 100k per week wage demands have proved a huge stumbling block.
The need for midfield reinforcements is even more pressing now as Nocerino has been ruled out for 3 months with a broken toe.
Talks are still ongoing with Sporting Lisbon in regards to William Carvalho although the clubs are some way off in terms of transfer fee. Torino are also believed to of inquired about the availability Belgium midfielder Witsel although talks are at an early stage.
With only 1 week remaining of the winter transfer window Torino have their work cut out if they are to bring any new faces in.Comment

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?
The Belgium FA have today confirmed that Torino manager Simon May has been appointed as manager of the national team. It is a decision that has been seen by many as a gamble as Simon has very little club management experience and no international experience.
A source close to the FA has informed us that it is the managers philosophy on developing youth that has swayed the FA towards him as they have spent a lot of money over recent years revamping that part of the national structure.
Sitting second place in their European Championship Qualifying group, 3 points behind Germany and only a point ahead of Poland, there is still work to be done in ensuring automatic qualification and it will soon be seen if Simon May is up to the task.Comment

Ha Ho He
September 2015
Borussia Dortmund 3 - 2 Hertha BSC
Bender 45', Immobile 74', Aubameyang 90'
Calhanoglu 55', Lacazette 89'
I lost my notes for this game but Aubameyang scored after a lobbed through ball. Stocker got injured for three months with a broken ankle.
Champions League
SC Braga 2 - 3 Hertha BSC
Pardo 11', Tiba 25'
Calhanoglu 61', 74', Bittencourt 88'
After Braga received some trash talk from Hertha BSC's manager Ganchev they were eager to teach Hertha a lesson. They started the game positively and got the lead in the 11th minute when Pardo scored after a rebounded shot. Fifteen minutes later Rafa passed the ball to Tiba in the middle of the box who shot the ball past Kraft to increase the lead to two. Hertha seemed lost in the first half and they got only shot on target but everything changed in the second half. Hertha started playing really well and attacking well and they pulled one back in the 61st minute when Hakan Calhanoglu scored a free kick. About ten minutes later the free kick specialist equalised the game with another free kick! Fifteen minutes later Leonardo Bittencourt received the ball on the left flank. The young winger cut in the middle, ran past the defenders and shot the ball in the net almost hitting the post! Ganchev went wild on the sidelines as did the away fans. What a comeback!
Hertha BSC 3 - 0 FC Kaiserslautern
Bittencourt 28', Mukhtar 59', Lacazette 84'
VfL Wolfsburg 2 - 3 Hertha BSC
Doumbia 45' pen, 67'
Lacazette 79', 89', Bittencourt 90'
Third game of the month in which five goals were scored and third game in a row in which Hertha scored three goals. Once again the Berliners got off to a bad start. Fabian Lustenberger gave away a penalty in the 45th minute and he was sent off. The following penalty was scored by Doumbia. The Ivorian scored his second in the 67th minute after he was played through on goal. Ten minutes later Hertha's comeback started with Lacazette slotting the ball at the near post. Ten minutes later he chopped past a defender and curled the ball in the net to equalise. Then, in added time Leonardo Bittencourt cut in the box and he put a low shot in the bottom right corner to decide another game!
Hertha BSC 3 - 1 Hamburger SV
Haraguchi 29', 31', Schieber 74'
N'Doye 15'
Champions League
Hertha BSC 4 - 1 Everton FC
Lacazette 17', 47', 82', Calhanoglu 21'
Gibson 71'
Hertha BSC continued their winning ways in the Champions League with a convincing victory against Cruzerr's Everton. This evening it was all about Lacazette who scored a beautiful hattrick. He scored the first goal in the 17th minute after cutting from the right and shooting the ball with his left foot past Tim Howard. Only five minutes later Hakan Calhanoglu scored the second goal of the day with a really simular goal to Lacazette's. Few minutes after the start of the second half Lacazette got his second goal after running in the box and shooting the ball at the near post. Darren Gibson managed to get a consulation goal in the 71st minute from a corner but only ten minutes later Lacazette finished his hattrick after a counter attack. The ball bounced off Howard's hand and head to the net.
Player of the Month
Alexandre Lacazette
Lacazette was chosen as Hertha BSC's player of September. It was a tough call between him and Hakan Calhanoglu who also had a terrific month but the Frenchman's contribution to the team was more important. The striker got his second award in a row and he has already scored nine goals in seven games.
Champions League Group
1. Hertha BSC, 6 pts
2. Paris Saint-Germain, 6 pts
3. Everton FC, 0 pts

Press Conference
You picked good results in September with only one loss and it was against the league leaders. What do you think about that?
We played really well, didn't lose hope and played some really good games. I'm really pleased with our form recently and we got really unlucky against Dortmund. We are third in the league but as you know we have a game in hand in which we will face Köln. We are basically second in the league.
Shouldn't you stop underestimating other teams? You said the same thing about Braga but they almost beat you.
But they didn't so I was correct. They got two really ugly and undeserved goals and we didn't play well in the first half but after we got on our usual level in the second half we showed them our quality. Köln in the other hand are 16th in the league and they aren't a good team. It won't be hard to beat them.
You conceded nine goals in six games. That isn't good for a top team. What are you doing wrong?
Our defence isn't on top of it's game and we are working on that. Luckily we have outscored every opponent except for Dortmund which shows that we have real talent and skill offensively.
Last question. You lost Valentin Stocker for three months in the Dortmund game. Was it a big loss?
Of course it was. It's never easy to lose a starting player for three months but we have done well without him. Leo (Bittencourt) has stepped up his game since last season and he is a good replacement. There is nothing to worry about right now.
Thank you for reading this post! I hope you have enjoyed it! Any feedback or suggestions will be appreciated!

No, you can't. But you can go to kick off, randomize a team there by pressing square (PS) or x (Xbox) and you can then pick that team in career mode. That's basically the same thing.Last edited by Simppu12; 10-15-2014, 09:34 AM.-Simppu12-
