Great start to the season! Cummins is a beast, and he scores pretty well for me as a back up to Wilson. That is a heart breaker against Fulham though and it sucks to draw those tougher opponents so early in cups like that.

Oh and could I recommend having Bennett and Moore-Taylor switch sides? Moore-Taylor is left footed and Bennett is right footed. Unless you have it that way on purpose.

Thanks! I know right! Cummins didn't seem very good when I was looking over his stats but on the pitch, he is soooo deadly! I won't lie, I was very disapointed that Fulham nicked the win from me but it is definately a good building block!

I actually have that on purpose. When I defend, it seems that the CPU always tries to cut in and shoot so if the attacker cuts in and gets a little space, i will be able to slide in with the defender's stronger foot which works much better for me! But it was a while ago now. I might just swap them around in one of my next games and see how it goes.

NOTE: Talking of beasts, I found Bradford Jamieson IV to be a proper beast in my last career!

You finally started! I'm looking forward to following it. Also a great start to the season! Cummins looks like he'll be a star for you. Good Luck with the rest of the season!

          Thanks!

Cummins is unstoppable at the moment! Hopefully he continues his run of form like he's been doing!

Man what a month! First month of the season and already undefeated! The end of the month was spectacular. Big win over Wigan and then another big win right after that but against Premier League giants Arsenal. Your team is on a roll! I really like all the American blood you've been bringing to the club as well. Yeeeeaaah! 'Murica!

              B) Derby County
              C) Leeds United

I'm gonna go with C, Leeds United. When it comes to Championship careers they are always at the top of my list. The history, the rivalries, the sleeping giants in the Championship. I'd like to see how you fill the hole Ross McCormack left as well.

Man I'm disappointed. I was making a quick search on SoFIFA and found that Stuart Holden isn't on FIFA 15 yet. I'm bummed. I was planning on making a career around him once I got the PS4

Thanks! The Wilson/Jamieson combo has been unreal, and Ginnelly has been playing really well on top of that to complete my three-headed attack.

'Murica! The big German in charge gave me a call and told me he wanted to get some players out of the MLS and let them develop so I obliged

                    AD Alcorcon - '20-'21 Season
                    August/September Update

New season, same expectations from our board. They would like for us to finish top 4 in the league, reach the quarter finals of the local cup, and reach the semi-finals of the Champions. For this they have provided us with $35 millions in transfer budget and $170K in wage budget. Not bad at all. There was a lot of activity on our during the summer transfer window so let's see what shook in it.

TRANSFERS OUT: Adam Lee (CDM, 63 OVR), loaned to Cordoba CF for a full season. Chuba Akpom (ST, 70 OVR), sold to Blackburn Rvrs for $2.1 million. Markus Goretzka (CB, 65 OVR), loaned to SK Storm Graz for a full season. Alex Navas (GK, 64 OVR), loaned to SD Ponferradina for a full season. Hallam Campbell (LM, 64 OVR), loaned to CD Mirandes for a full season. Sven Ulreich (GK, 82 OVR), sold to Celta Vigo for $9.2 million. Carlos Alberto (GK, 67 OVR), loaned to Girona FC for a full season. Jose Vidal (CM, 72 OVR), sold to RCD Mallorca for $2.8 million. Andre Hoffmann (CDM, 79 OVR), sold to Real Zaragoza for $5 million. Vladimir Rankovic (RB, 70 OVR), sold to Hannover 96 for $1.1 million.

TRANSFERS IN: Giannelli Imbula (CDM, 85 OVR), purchased from Marseille for $15 million. Cristian Bonilla (GK, 85 OVR), purchased from Roma for $13 million. Dan McDermott (RB, 72 OVR) , purchased from Coventry City for $3.2 million. Moritz Parker (ST, 68 OVR), purchased from Borussia Dortmund for $1.5 million.

I had mentioned in my roster review from last season that I'd be looking to replace Ulreich and Hoffman and I did just that, bringing in higher-rated players in Bonilla and Imbula. They are inserted into the starting lineup. Akpom had become unhappy about his playing time so his departure was anticipated. I decided to move on from Vidal (An Exciting Prospect) because his rating was mostly based off his mental attributes but the rest of his ratings weren't where I wanted them to be (and he's also 5'5"). I wanted an upgrade at the backup RB position so I sold Rankovic and brought in McDermott, a 25-year old from England. My final decision was to allow Hiroya Imada to be our #4 striker but I brought in Parker, 20-year old German, for competition. He's also a lefty and has a 4-star weak foot so I'm also interested to see how he develops.

As to the actual games ...

                    Pre-Season
AD Alcorcon - Wigan Athletic (1-1)
                    Imada 40'
                    Cordovil de Lima 69'

Recap: trotted out a mixture of the B and C teams for this one so I was overall happy with the result.

                    Roma - AD Alcorcon (1-1)
                    Omrani 44'
                    Lopez 79'

Recap: On the debut of the A team our new goalkeeper got to visit his old grounds. Roma came out in full force during the first half and we were almost able to completely shut them down but a nice triangulation near the end got Omrani, an ex-Alcorcon, the opening score. Lopez would equalize with a header midway through the second half to give us the draw.

AD Alcorcon - Aston Villa (6-1)
                    Weimann 6'
                    Farago 11'
                    Miguel 15'
                    Lopez 29'
                    Farago 44'
                    Lopez 69'
                    Gnabry 80'

Recap: I'd say the lads are ready for the season.

                    League Match 1
AD Alcorcon - Valencia CF (4-0)
                    Miguel 63'
                    Farago 77'
                    Salawu 80'
                    Correa 90+'

Recap: The visitors gave us a tough game for most of the match but once we broke through we couldn't be stopped. Excellent start to the season staying in form from the last pre-season game.

                    Spanish Super Cup, 1st Leg
FC Barcelona - AD Alcorcon (1-0)
                    Messi 37'

Recap: What's new? Really. It seems like no matter what we do Messi always finds a way to put one at the back of the net and this time it was no exception. It doesn't help that Courtois is on the other side blocking every shot. All in all not a horrible result but it would had been nice to at least get a goal on the road.

                    League Match 2
Athletic Bilbao - AD Alcorcon (0-0)

Recap: We were all over the hosts throughout this game as demonstrated by our significant edge in shots (12 vs 3, 8 vs 1 on shots on goal) but we were unable to break through. On to the next one.

                    Spanish Super Cup, 2nd Leg
AD Alcorcon - FC Barcelona (0-2)
                    Messi 40'
                    Nierichlo 89'

Recap: In case you're wondering - yes, it does get old quickly. Messi again and the youngster at the end clinched the local Super Cup for Barca for the second year in a row. Once again we were pathetic on offense and our guys usually grade poorly when facing Barca.
                    /rant.

                    Euro Cup
                    AD Alcorcon - Juventus (1-0)
                    Correa 73'

Recap: Looking forward to facing these guys again, they bring it. Really tight back-and-forth matchup in the rain decided by a determined Correa who is on fire early on. A nice win to make up for our losses vs Barca.

                    League Match 3
RCD Mallorca - AD Alcorcon (0-0)

Recap: No excuse for this really, just another case of missed opportunities in the early going, a sign that this team continues to lack the urgency they need to have in order to stay atop of this league. It was their 4th game in 9 days.

(NOTE: Rafael Soares Martins has been named the Player of the Month for the month of August).

                    SEP
                    League Match 4
AD Alcorcon - Villareal CF (2-0)
                    Barrera 8'
                    Knoll 28'

Recap: With the Champions' opener 2 days later I ran the B team for this one. Barrera received a rebound at the top of the box off a deflection inside it and one-timed it near the right post for the opening score, then Knoll put his air-game on display on a header. We used to lose to this team all the time, now we're beating them with the B team. Hopefully our games against Barca take a similar turn soon.

CL - Group Stage, Match 1
AD Alcorcon - Sporting CP (1-3)
                    Wilson Eduardo 57'
                    Imbula 67'
                    Gnabry 84'
                    Lopez 90'

Recap: For a squad that won this title last season we sure seem to have some jittery nerves. Imbula's score came after a pass from Correa on the right wing found a streaking Lopez who nudged the ball just enough to the left for a concurrently streaking Imbula who just got enough on the ball to tap it in. We were now even at 1 but we had finally broke through. Gnabry scored just seconds after coming into the game - throw in on the left, Lancini ran down the left wing and crossed it to the second post where Gnabry hit a volley towards the ground, bouncing it towards the left post and no contest for the goalie. Lopez rounded it up with a header off a pass from Gnabry. A better start this time around after losing to Malmo in the opener last season.

                    League Match 5
Real Madrid - AD Alcorcon (3-1)
                    Willian Arao 26'
                    Isco 48'
                    Lopez 72'
                    Isco 76'

Recap: I guess the winning streak against the Merengues had to end sooner or later. They played a hell of a game on both sides of the field and even when Lopez's goal gave us a bit of hope Isco made sure to finish us just a couple of minutes later. Reality though is that we can't expect to win La Liga if we're not beating the top teams and are missing out on points against lower competition as well.

                    League Match 6
AD Alcorcon - FC Barcelona (1-3)
                    Suchy 15'
                    Lopez 33'
                    Tello 72'
                    Messi 77'

                    Recap: I ... I mean ... ugh ... #$%^ ... Messi ... meh.

                    League Match 7
Sevilla FC - AD Alcorcon (2-3)
                    Vergara 7'
                    Soares Martins 12'

                    Blandi 45'
                    Stevanovic 51'
                    Correa 70'

Recap: My CB's got in the action early on on a couple of headers on dead balls. Blandi, who I coached when were both back at Boca Juniors, cut the deficit right before half time on a breakaway and Stevanovic evened it up early in the 2nd half thanks to some nice passing from the hosts. But Correa once again put us over the top, putting away a rebound to get us some really needed 3 points.

CL - Group Stage, Match 2
FC Basel - AD Alcorcon (2-4)
                    Farago 24'
                    Adili 32'
                    Vuleta 54'
                    Lopez 58' (P)
                    Miguel 62'
                    Farago 66'

Recap: The Swiss club did everything they could to take this one but at the end our superior talent prevailed. Once Lopez put a stop to their run with the PK immediately took over and scored a couple more goals to put them away. 2 for 2 to start the tournament. Not bad at all. Next up: a visit from Liverpool who have also won their first 2 games.

                    4. Sporting CP - 0pts (-4 GD)

As some of you may already know my #1 goal this season is winning La Liga since that is the only major title I've yet to win (already won Copa Del Rey and Champions). Therefore it's been a disappointing start in the league especially considering Barca only lost 2 games when it won the league last season and only 4 when it won it two seasons ago. I'm already at 2 losses although admittedly they've come against the 2 other best teams in the league but I really hate dropping points against Mallorca and even Bilbao. At least I'm off to a good start in the Champions.

Our academy went from being half way filled to complete full after scouts were sent to Australia, Saudi Arabia, and Mexico. Here's the youth squad:
                    • Victor Jimenez (CM, 66-70 OVR, 86-92 POT): 16-year old from Spain described as an attacker. He saw significant improvement in the academy last season but we're currently talking to him about staying in the academy for another season in order to give himself a better chance to be an impact player for us right away. A special talent.
                    • Mansour Haron (CB, 43-55, 76-94)*: 16-year old from Saudi Arabia who is physically strong, and when I say he's physically strong I mean that he's 6'6" and 198lbs. Oh yeah.
                    • Jacob O'Neill (RB, 50-58, 79-93)*: 16-year old from Australia who will more than likely play inside at CB due to his size (6'2") and lack of speed. He's described as defensive minded.
                    • Wasl Al Harbi (RB, 45-55, 75-93)*: 16-year old from Saudi Arabia who also projects as more of a CB due to his size (6'2") and lack of speed. He's also described as defensive minded.
                    • Jesus Aurello (ATT, 48-60, 74-92)*: 16-year old from Mexico who is still being evaluated to determine whether he'll be a striker or winger though the wing seems to fit him more naturally.
                    • Luis Martinez (ST, 49-59, 74-90)*: 16-year old from Mexico who is described as technically gifted. We're really excited about this potential at the front of our attack.
                    • Victor Velazquez (CAM, 62-66, 83-89): 16-year old Spanish prospect who reminds us of a young Leandro Paredes or Angel Correa. We want to keep him in the academy for another season.
                    • Diego Rodriguez (ST, 46-54, 72-84)*: 15-year old from Mexico described as technically gifted. He projects as more of a sub for us but we're still hoping to speed up his development.
                    • Mohammed Almeshaugeh (CB, 39-45, 72-84)*: 16-year old from Saudi Arabia described as physically strong. Another defender standing at 6'2".
                    • Johnny Wilson (CF, 54-58, 74-80):16-year old from England who scouts compare to Farago. We're hoping he'll stick with the academy for another full season.
                    • Julio Gutierrez (LW, 53-57, 73-79): 16-year old from Spain who brings some speed to the pitch. He's settled at LW which is a great fit for him but he showed very little improvement in the academy last season so another full year here would be the best for him.
                    • Victor Jimenez (CM, 58-62, 74-80): 17-year old from Venezuela who is a defensive-minded midfielder. He needs to remain in the academy for now but we're not sure he'll want to stay in it for another full season given his age.
                    • Cameron Jones (LB, 42-52, 69-85)*: 16-year old from Australia who will also be playing inside due to lack of speed mostly. We'll see if we can develop him into a CDM/CB dual player.
                    • Francisco Miguel (CF, 51-55, 71-75): 16-year old from Spain described as technically gifted but needs to remain in the academy for at least one more season.
                    • Damon Elliot (CF, 51-55, 70-74): 16-year old from England who projects as a speedy attacker. His best shot at being a long-term consideration for us is to stay in the academy for one more season.

                    * Denotes recent addition to the academy.

                    Spoiler

Next month we'll face Real Zaragoza, Deportivo, Granada, Real Sociedad, and Real Valladolid in La Liga and also face off against Liverpool in Champions.

Then there's my new gig with the AFA ...

2022 World Cup - CONMEBOL QUALIFIERS

                    Argentina - Chile (6-2)
                    Messi 15'
                    Henriquez 18'
                    Messi 24'
                    Messi 45'
                    Dybala 49'

                    Henriquez 67'
                    Paredes 74'
                    Iturbe 79'

Recap: Explosive debut for the new Argentinian coach as we annihilated Chile thanks in big part to Messi who, after years of being a nightmare for me, is now scoring for my side. He's just ridiculous. His very first goal was a free kick that kissed off the post and went in. When he's on he's simply unfair even at an advanced age (he's still rated 93, by the way). The 4-3-3 seemed to work well obviously and Paredes on the right wing is just dirty, nasty unfair.

                    Uruguay - Argentina (3-1)
                    Suarez 21'
                    Dybala 31'
                    Cavani 43'
                    Cavani 58'

Recap: Well the joy didn't last long. Uruguay exposed the holes in our 4-3-3 and killed us with the counter as well as some lethal strikes from their stud attackers. This will make me rethink the 4-3-3 and whether a 4-4-2 diamond would work just fine with this group.

                    Spoiler

And that's basically all. I need to make adjustments quickly because qualifiers resume again next month with visits from Brazil and Uruguay so we'll see whether we can improve.

                    See ya!

Man I was excited reading over your results looking at all of the clean sheets you kept in league play, but then the Real Madrid game came around and the results turned down a little bit after that. Still, you are only 3 points out of the top 4 right now so not bad at all! And you are looking really solid in your Champions League group!

I would have kept Messi out of the Argentina selection for disrespecting you like that. Not once, not twice, THREE times in one month. I wouldn't take that. Then again he is Messi so if you can't beat him, join him lol He wasn't able to score on me, but he assisted 2 of the 3 goals Barca scored on me and he has about 30 passes in the game so he was still a huge headache. Oh wait, you haven't commented on my last post so you probably have no idea what I'm talking about. Yep. Anyway, tough month but you faced tough opponents. Really liked your signings you look set to win more titles this year. Crazy how far you've came remember when Alcorcon wouldn't give you jack squat in transfer money even when you requested it? Now look at your budget. I'm surprised to see Sociedad at the top of the table but I'm sure that will change next month. I expect you to win La Liga this year!

                            SUI - Drmic 85' (Pen), 90' (Pen)

Smith attacked the defense and split down the middle to fire a shot past the keeper just before half. Reeves then received a layoff in the middle of the box before sending it home to the near post. Two back to back penalties brought Switzerland back even late in the match, but Lafferty showed a superb effort to hit the game winner from the right side of the box to the far post just before time expired.

Ferguson broke free down the left wing drawing the defense towards him before sending it to the middle of the box for the easy tap in for McKay. Long answered quickly with a well placed chipped ball that fell just inside the top left corner of the goal. With both rivals trying to prove superiority late in the match, Smith broke free on a run after Lafferty diverted the defense away from his path and struck the ball to the far right post to win the match and beat their bitter rivals.

                            Exeter City 1 - Reading 2
WTF? This was played on the same day as my international game against Switzerland and it just simmed this one and I didn't even know about this until I saw I had a loss in the league table?

Cuvelier lost his marker and rose up to head home a strong ball into the top left corner early in the match. Just before the half Jamieson IV beat his man down the right wing before sending the ball into the box for Ginnelly to tap in for the equalizer.

                            Exeter City 4 - Bournemouth 3

Van Nieff sent the ball to Cummins, who tapped it on to McClure to run onto and first time to the near post for the opener. Bournemouth answered quickly with an easy header off a cross into the box. McCartan then slid to tap home a ball that was played across the face of the goal from Cummins. Bennett deflected a shot into his own goal to give Bournemouth the equalizer. Jamieson then received the ball running to the left of the goal before cutting it back and 'megging the keeper for the lead. A few minutes later McClure was running with the ball down the left wing and picked out MacDonald running unmarked with a cross that was headed home. Ritchie headed a deflected shot home to give Bournemouth another goal in the 90th minute.

                            EXE - MacDonald 90', Adelakun 98'

Humphrey tracked down a ball that deflected off the crossbar and was able to head it into the net with the keeper scrambling back into position. With the game looking to be over, Wynne played the ball to Wilson in the middle who slid it over to MacDonald making a run through the middle to first time it into the goal and force extra time. MacDonald then found a small gap to play the ball through for Adelakun to go 1 on 1 with the keeper and finish it to the top left corner for the winner.

                            Coventry City 0 - Exeter City 2
                            EXE - Jamieson 61', Wilson 65'

Jamieson received the ball on the right wing and beat two defenders before using his left foot to fire near post for the lead. McCartan attacked down the middle and found Wilson streaking on the left side of the box. Wilson then faked a shot and cut it back inside and then fired back to the left post to double the lead.

                            Exeter City 1 - Fulham 2
                            EXE - Wilson 87'
                            FUL - McCormack 54', Taggart 74'

McCormack put Fulham on the board first after he was unmarked and headed home a corner. Taggart then added a header of his own as he rose up over two defenders and placed it in the top right corner. Wilson was able to grab one back late after being played up the middle and moving to his right before sending a powerful shot past the keeper.

                            Youth Academy

Carl Little (Northern Ireland) 16 years old 56-60 OVR 74-80 POT.
                            - Carl Little has stepped up for the youth team playing as a center back. The 16 year old hit his growth spurt that the youth doctors were expecting and now stands at 6'1" giving him a bright future in the center of the defense.

Jay Holmes (England) 15 years old 71-75 OVR 88-94 POT.
-Jay Holmes has the look of something special. His technical abilities are far beyond his age and enable him to be extremely effective in the CAM role of the midfield. He is no doubt one to keep an eye on moving forward.

Josh Meenan (Northern Ireland) 16 years old 58-62 OVR 72-78 POT.
                            - The young boy from Northern Ireland has natural talents at keeper, but his future will be determined on how much he grows over the coming years since he is standing only 5'7" at the moment. If he hits a growth spurt as expected, his future seems bright.

Xabi Rodriguez (Mexico) 15 years old 50-62 OVR 82-94 POT.
-Xabi at just 15 from Mexico already shows a lot of promise. His permanent position has not yet been determined, but his future appears to be in either the midfield or as a forward. Everyone will be keeping a close eye on his development.

Exeter City Player of the Month

                            Bradford Jamieson IV

With Wilson missing a week due to injury, Jamieson took advantage of his chance to be the featured player in Exeter's attack. Although he finished with only 2 goals on the month, he also added a handful of assists as he works to make himself a more rounded player. His efforts have been recognized and he earns his first player of the month award.

                            Press Conference

Q: Your results weren't as strong this month as you have really dove into league play now. You are still sitting 3rd in the table though. Is your form currently on the downswing, or will you be able to turn it around quickly?

A: After ending last season in such a dominant run of form and carrying it over to the first month of this season, I think we needed something like this to give us a reality check. We know that we can't just earn 3 points by showing up, we have to go out there and compete no matter what. I think that with this month behind us now, we will be able to get better and move forward with a lesson learned.

Q: You have advanced to the round of 16 after beating Preston North End in the Capital One Cup. You were almost out of it until some late game heroics pushed you through. You now have Manchester United as your next draw in the cup, with your narrow escape to Preston, what are your feelings regarding this next match?

A: It will be tough without a doubt. We played against them last year and they eliminated us in extra time. We know we can play them close, but like I said earlier, that takes us being on our game when we step on to that pitch. Our win against Arsenal certainly gives us a measure of confidence facing premier league clubs, but each match is a new challenge.

Q: You are leading your World Cup Qualifying group with Norther Ireland after beating Switzerland, and then winning the always important match against Ireland. How confident are you that you will be able to qualify for the 2018 World Cup in Russia?

A: Anything less than that would be a complete failure on my part no doubt. I was happy to win 6 points in the first two matches of this stage, but it was huge to win the match against Ireland. I know the rivalry here and know the implications that these matches have for the two countries. I am happy that I was able to lead the players out there and win that one for Northern Ireland.

Seems like you guys want Leeds mostly followed by Derby, so one of those it is. Gotta admit that I'm surprised nobody picked Brighton.

IMO Derby has the better squad and kits, but Leeds has the history and stature. I suppose I'll just draw names out of a hat.

Sorry I haven't posted my Perth Glory Career Mode yet I haven't even started it

Turns Out Christmas wasn't as busy when I was young

Plus work likes to roster you on whenever because they think you don't have plans...

                                FML

Anyway I've got a little time this weekend so I will try to start it. If not after Christmas

                                I will be active though

EDIT: Not to brag but I've been here since the start of this thread. And I would never of guess that it would make 800 pages. Awesome work guys. I have so many memories (Indi's very in depth career modes, Chico's persuding everyone to hate MK Dons, **** them, all the road to glories as well). I hope everyone and even more will stick around and who knows we could make 2000 before the end of next year.
