Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?

@keano16 Do well with Swansea, I had a CM with them on my 360 on 15 before my system upgrade. They have some excellent pieces to work with Montero especially. I had some fun times with them.

@chicobass I know your feeling, that was me kept looking at fifa 15. Can't wait until you start.

Everyone knows when you sign or re-sign someone you can select how important they are to the club, "squad rotation player", "crucial 1st teamer", etc.

My questions is, what is the threshold until the player starts to complain about playing time for each of those options? For example; if I sign a player as an "important 1st teamer" how many appearances does he need to stay happy (I'm assuming this is tied to appearances?)? Same thing with any of the other options. I'm in a spot with my CM where I have a lot of youth players ready to start for the senior squad and some older players that are still contributing a lot and I can't seem to make everyone happy. TIA!!

Good question but I don't think I can give you an exact number either. When they are are at "crucial 1st team player" they need to play pretty much every game or at least make substitute appearances but as a sub their morale still won't be too high. I believe that regardless what their contract says, the game chooses at random who will complain about their playing time. I have players that play every week and out of nowhere they'll complain that they need more minutes on the field, which is why I believe the game chooses them randomly just to spice things up for the player even though it's actually pretty annoying lol

Welcome to the thread! Great start to the season as well. I really like your decision to make a Bundesliga 2 career! Is there any specific reason why you've been wanting to do an FC Ingolstadt career?

Another great month you're unstoppable! Your team is set up so well that they're even winning the forced simmed matches! Another dramatic win in the Capital One Cup as well. I would like to see who your next rival is though. Makes it more exciting! Holmes looks like his birth certificate is fake. Like if he's half-Nigerian or something. He's already in the 70s at only 15 years old?! He's already good enough to be promoted but because of his age you'll be pretty much forced to let him get another May boost. He'll probably be hitting the 80s by the time he turns 16! Amazing man. Of course I'm also inclined towards your Mexican future star. Hopefully one of them has a secondary position listed or even if they don't hopefully one of them has good enough pace to maybe play out wide.

@Poulka: Thanks! If I have read the signs right, I will be receiving the PS4 as a Christmas gift. If, however, I have somehow misread the nonverbal behaviors and I do not receive a PS4 as a gift, I'm still getting it myself after Christmas. No exceptions! I'm dying to play Shadow of Mordor but FIFA is FIFA so I also can't wait to play that as well lol

              FIFA 15 - Season 2

              The Grecians

              December

              Exeter City 1 - Leicester City 2
              EXE - Wilson 27' (Pen)
              LEI - Vardy 4', 71'

Vardy flicked on a cross with a perfectly placed header to the right post to take an early lead. Wilson converted from the penalty spot after Jamieson drew the foul inside the box to tie it up. Vardy then added his second of the night with a strong left footed strike from outside the box that settled just inside the top right corner.

              Huddersfield 0 - Exeter City 4
              EXE - McClure 7', McCartan 24', McKenzie 69', Jamieson IV 90'

McClure chased down an over the top ball while holding off a defender on his back before sliding to beat the keeper to the ball and knock it in. Wilson sent a cross from the right side of the goal that McCartan extended to tap into the goal to double the lead. McCartan sent McKenzie a ball through a small gap that he was able to finish in the near post and put the match out of reach. With the match almost over McKenzie found Jamieson on the right side of the goal and he fired it hard off the keeper's hands and in.

              Exeter City 2 - Blackburn Rovers 2
              EXE - Ginnelly 90', Hesketh 90'
              BLB - Marshall 2', 77'

Marshall took advantage of an early foul and struck a long distance free kick into the top right corner of the net. He then found another after finding the gap in the defense to receive the ball and finish easily past the keeper and double the lead. With time almost out Jamieson dribbled all the way to the end line right of the goal and sent a cross that Ginnelly found with his head to give Exeter a late 90th minute goal. Relentless pressure by Wilson on the ensuing kick off resulted in a takeaway that he took all the way down and fired at the goal but the keeper was able to get a hand on it. Hesketh tracked the rebound and was able to knock it home to earn a draw after two 90th minute Exeter goals.

              Watford 1 - Exeter City 1
              WAT - Ighalo 45'
              EXE - McKenzie 88'

With the half winding down a great display of passing led to an easy goal for Ighalo on the left side to open the game. With Exeter desperate for an equalizer late in the match, McKenzie leaped over a sliding challenge and pushed through to beat the keeper and earn the draw.

              Exeter City 3 - Leeds United 2
              EXE - Jamieson IV 34', 90', Cooper 75' (OG)
              LEE - Doukara 45', Dockal 78'

Van Nieff sent the corner into the box and Jamieson flicked it on to the far post for the first goal of the match. Doukara ran right past the defense and received the ball in the box to even it up for Leeds just before half. Dean worked his way to the left side of the goal before firing a shot that deflected off a defender and into the net counting for an own goal. Dockal brought Leeds back into it once again as he rose over two defenders to head it back to the near post and in. In the 90th minute Jamieson attacked the box and fired a strong right footed shot that went off the keeper's hands and into the net for the winner.

              Exeter City 5 - Crystal Palace 1
EXE - Jamieson IV 15', Wilson 16', Ridehalgh 39', van Nieff 40', Pym 45' (Pen)
              CRY - Griffiths 14'

Griffiths put Crystal Palace ahead with a great header off a cross into the middle of the box. Jamieson answered back almost immediately with a great individual effort that resulted in a strike to the right side of the goal. Wilson took the ball away on the ensuing kickoff and attacked to the right before placing the ball to the far left post. Ridehalgh attacked from the left wing dribbling into the box before firing a low shot to the right post. Van Nieff then added another almost immediately beating the defense to fire past the keeper. With the game already looking out of reach a penalty was awarded and Exeter gave the nod to their keeper to take the shot and Pym converted for his first goal of his career.

              Youth Academy

Antonio Lopes (Mexico) 15 years old 39-49 OVR 69-89 POT
-Antonio Lopes has the potential to be a solid defender, although his exact position is yet to be determined. At 15 his 5'6" frame still has room to grow, his final height could make him a great candidate for the middle of the defense.

Carl Little (Northern Ireland) 17 years old 56-60 OVR 74-80 POT.
              - Carl Little has stepped up for the youth team playing as a center back. The 16 year old hit his growth spurt that the youth doctors were expecting and now stands at 6'1" giving him a bright future in the center of the defense.

Jay Holmes (England) 15 years old 71-75 OVR 88-94 POT.
-Jay Holmes has the look of something special. His technical abilities are far beyond his age and enable him to be extremely effective in the CAM role of the midfield. He is no doubt one to keep an eye on moving forward.

Josh Meenan (Northern Ireland) 16 years old 58-62 OVR 72-78 POT.
              - The young boy from Northern Ireland has natural talents at keeper, but his future will be determined on how much he grows over the coming years since he is standing only 5'7" at the moment. If he hits a growth spurt as expected, his future seems bright.

Rafael Lopez (Mexico) 15 years old 49-55 OVR 69-77 POT.
-Rafael looks like he will settle on the left side of the midfield where he spends the majority of his time on the youth squad. His main attributes are in pace and the coaches are hoping that his technical abilities will catch up in time.

Xabi Rodriguez (Mexico) 15 years old 54-58 OVR 89-94 POT.
-Xabi at just 15 from Mexico already shows a lot of promise. His permanent position has not yet been determined, but his future appears to be in either the midfield or as a forward. Everyone will be keeping a close eye on his development.

Exeter City Player of the Month

              Bradford Jamieson IV

Jamieson led the attack at times throughout the month proving himself capable with 4 goals to add to his tally. He is now second in the league in goals, only just slightly behind James Wilson. He has become a major part of a two headed monster that is terrorizing the league.

              Press Conference

Q: You dropped a spot this month, but remain only just 1 point back from the top. Several draws and a loss caused you to drop the points that resulted in that, but still you must be happy with where you are?

A: Happy? I'm not sure I would go that far. I am pleased with where we are, but those dropped points could come back to haunt us by the end of the season. There is still a whole other half of the season to play so we will see how it all shapes up.

Q: Graham Cummins has officially put in a transfer request. He has been at the club since you took over, serving as the primary backup for James Wilson. In his appearances he has always seemed effective, what is the cause of his demand?

A: Graham is an extremely talented striker that could start for a wide array of clubs. I think that he is ready for the challenge to be the featured striker for a club, and I don't fault him for that. I will do my best to get him into a beneficial position and I wish him the best going forward.

Q: Will you be making any changes to the squad now that the transfer window is open? The squad is in great form, but surely there is always room for improvement?

A: Players cost money, and with our current form we don't need to be spending money aimlessly. In an ideal world I would buy every player I've ever had my eye on, but we have to be smart. I think right now our depth as well as our quality are both looking great. Our current plans are to stay as we are, but things can always change depending on who becomes available.

Thanks man! I was thinking it over earlier and Holmes I think has pace stats in the 60's which could work on the outside of the midfield diamond where you don't need winger type speed to play. If the players look right I may try a 4-4-2 wide diamond with Wilson and Jamieson pairing up front. I like that I still get to keep those two in forward positions since they are a deadly team when on the field together. I knew you would like those Mexican players I've been recruiting though haha.

Also, in case you couldn't tell by the amount of updates, the fiance is out of town right now.

Very impressive I like what you are doing with the squad.

That Holmes kid is an amazing player and should be a big part of the squad when you can promote him to the senior squad

There you go good thinking. A 4-4-2 Diamond narrow would be perfect. Really looking forward to your next season now lol. I get more hooked whenever there's American and Mexican players on someone's CM. Even more when they are youth academy players!

Ah, I figured something was up. I'm jealous right now. My lady just moved in to a house that's about 3 minutes away from mine, so yeah I haven't been able to play my PS3 at all since Thursday I think

Portsmouth are 14th in league 2 atm.

Game 1 we lost 2-1 at home against AFC Wimbledon after they score in the 90th minute to put them up 2-1 ugh!

There you go! Love it when the team is struggling and then they bounce back with a huge win. How are you adjusting to '15 so far? Much better than '08 huh lol

It's an uphill battle adjusting to the game and this game is a million times better than 08 although I must say that the Legendary AI are a bit insane

Edit:The timing of your shot power is a lot harder in '15 as well lol

4th Game- 2-1 Win Away at Plymouth Argyle.

That win brings Portsmouth into the top 5 in league 2

Thanks, to be honest it is being more difficult than i thought. Yes there's a specific reason, i always loved to make the way up to BPL ''you don't say'' haha i think the other leagues i played were Swedish and Ligue 1.
