    Exeter City F.C.
    FIFA 15 - Season 4

    The Grecians

    August

    Manchester City 1 - Exeter City 2
    MCI - Aguero 57'
    EXE - McClure 65', Jamieson IV 81'

Lucas sent in a corner that found Aguero's head and beat the keeper on the top right corner for the opener. McClure dribbled to the right side of the box before cutting the ball back to the middle to fire a left footed shot to the right post and tie it up. Jamieson got out ahead on the counter and used a beautiful stop and go move at the edge of the box to get through on goal and fire to the far left post for the winner.

    Exeter City 3 - Hull City 1
    EXE - Wilson 62', 71', 90'
    HUL - Aluko 90'

Jamieson attacked the center of the defense before finding Wilson making a run through the gap who finished easily to the right post. Jamieson attacked once again to the left before playing the ball back to Wilson on the right for the strong near post finish. Aluko rose up between two defenders to head home a cross and cut the lead in half late in the match. Fryers laid the ball off to Robinson running down the right wing who then crossed it into the box for Wilson to head over the keeper to complete his hat-trick.

    Swansea City 1 - Exeter City 2
    SWA - Bony 49'
    EXE - Rodriguez 64', McCartan 90'

Sigurdsson's shot hit the post, but Bony was ready to knock on the rebound to give Swansea the lead. Holmes sent in the corner that found Rodriguez's head and flew just past the charging keeper and into the net. Late in the match, Rodriguez dribbled right in the box before swiveling around and laying it off to McCartan for the first time strike to the right post for the winner just two minutes after being substituted on.

    Capital One Cup
Exeter City 3 - Blackburn Rovers
    EXE - Hanley 45' (Og), Dean 72', McCartan 90'

After the ball was deflected up inside the box, Hanley and the keeper both went for the ball and got tangled up resulting in Hanley knocking it into their own goal. Dean dribbled past two defenders in the box before firing a right footed shot to the near post. Robinson played the ball to McCartan at the top of the box who made a strong turn to the right side of the goal and placed it past the keeper.

    Youth Academy

Antonio Lopes (Mexico) 16 years old 59-63 OVR 76-82 POT
-Antonio Lopes has the potential to be a solid defender. At 6'1" he has grown into his role as a central defender quite well. Mostly known for his physical strength, he will prove to be a handful for attackers to deal with for years to come.

Kyle Schumacher (England) 16 years old 54-64 OVR 85-94 POT
-Kyle Schumacher is the next promising talent to enter into the Exeter academy. His technical abilities are nearly unrivaled for a player his age, and his instincts as a center forward make him dangerous in the final third.

Rafael Lopez (Mexico) 15 years old 56-60 OVR 71-75 POT.
-Rafael looks like he will settle on the left side of the midfield where he spends the majority of his time on the youth squad. His main attributes are in pace and the coaches are hoping that his technical abilities will catch up in time.

Rodrigo Moreno (Columbia) 15 years old 35-43 OVR 72-90 POT.
-Rodrigo Moreno has the ability to play all over the defense as well as on either side of the midfield. At only 15 years old he still has a lot of time to settle into one position.

Victor Manuel (Columbia) 15 years old 56-60 OVR 73-79 POT.
-Victor Manuel has been putting on impressive displays in the midfield with the youth academy and the coaches high high hopes for him as a future option in the center of the pitch. He has true playmaking instincts, and will surely find a role with the senior squad in time.

Exeter City Player of the Month

    Bradford Jamieson IV

While only scoring 1 goal, Bradford showed off his playmaking ability this month linking up with Wilson multiple times in what has become a deadly strike pairing. His goal against Manchester City gave Exeter City it's first ever Premier League win in their first match.

    Press Conference

Q: You have to be happy with this start in the club's debut season for the Premier League. Three wins in three matches, including a victory against Manchester City at the Etihad. Success in this league is hard to come by, but you have managed to find a way. What are your feelings regarding this first month?

A: It is ecstatic here. We are thrilled to be in this league first of all, but to have early success against all odds is incredible. Obviously, it's only 3 matches over a span of 38. We know that this isn't a sign of anything yet, but we will treasure it for what we can take of it. As of right now, we have 9 points. No reason to dwell on anything else.

Q: A solid 3-0 win over Blackburn that was never in doubt. Your incredible form in cup play continues into this season as well. You have been able to win a cup in each of your 3 seasons with Exeter so far, do you think that will continue this year as well?

A: We have another one to compete for this year with the Europa League as well. However, that means more fixtures that we will have to manage as well. I think this group of players have proven that they are capable of anything. It is up to me to manage their minutes, and I know I can trust them to do the rest.

Q: You brought in three new signings this window, and sent out a fan favorite in Yoell van Nieff. Although, the supporters aren't complaining too much with how you started the season. How do you think these new players will contribute in the squad, and how will you be able to replace Yoell van Nieff?

A: Yoell was a player that I have absolute respect for. We received an offer for him and we valued him at nearly double the offer. They came back and agreed, so we decided to go through with the deal. I wish him the best of luck at his new club, he will be remembered here for a long time. As for the new players, I think they are all young, but still capable of contributing right now. Jack Robinson will be a factor for the first choice at left back right away, and Dele Alli will be in direct competition with Isaac Fryers in the holding midfield spot. Joseph Gomez provides great depth in the defense with his versatility, and even has a chance to compete for a starting spot.

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?

      Jeu à la Nantaise: Season 1 (2014-15)

Nantes part with five to fund new training ground

Les Canaris have been forced to sell star forward Filip Djordjevic after Lazio put in a bid of £10 million, and Oswaldo Vizcarrondo has moved to Lille for
£2.4 million after just one season with Nantes. Also on his way out is Adrien Trebel, whose move to Standard Liege for £1.9 million could not be stopped. Reserve striker Ismael Bangoura has moved to Italian side Parma and reserve winger Johan Audel to Stade Reims, the pair moving on for a combined fee of £1 million. After banking £15.3 million, the Nantes board have given new manager Indi Blue approximately £4.5 million to strengthen the side, while the remaining £10.8 million will go towards the cost of the club's new training complex, which will be operational as of next July.

      Five in at Beaujoire

Despite having limited funds to improve his team, Indi Blue has managed to bring in five players who will hopefully push Nantes further on their progression as they seek to qualify for European competition. The first two signings, both on loan, are Arsenal forward Yaya Sanogo and Lyon defender Lindsay Rose. The pair of Frenchmen will add depth and quality at opposite ends of the pitch at no cost beyond their reasonable wages. As part of the Djordjevic deal, Nantes have also signed Danilo Cataldi from Lazio for a modest fee of £200k, with the midfielder viewed as a backup to Alejandro Bedoya. Valenciennes midfielder Abdou Camara, who had just one year remaining on his contract with the second-division outfit, also joins for a fee of £1 million plus the services of wayward journeyman Remi Gomis. The final signing also comes from the Premier League, this time from newly-promoted side Leicester City. In a deal that saw Vincent Bessat and £2 million in cash move to England, Nantes have signed promising winger Anthony Knockaert. The agile Frenchman is adept on either flank or in the hole, from where he uses his powerful left foot to drive in fearsome crosses and shots. With an eye for goal and loads of athleticism, he should prove crucial.

Nantes preseason comes off without a hitch

As much as everyone involved at Nantes wants the team to do well, it's always difficult to adapt to a new manager and new players. Thankfully for them, the core of the squad has been retained, with imposing French goalkeeper Remy Riou and explosive Togo winger Serge Gakpe signing long-term contracts. It's also being reported that Lucas Deaux, a dynamic box-to-box midfielder, has also been given a lengthy extension to his existing deal, though his future is not as secure as some others. Last but not least, imposing centre back Papiss Djilobodji has been handed the captain's armband by Indi Blue, who has demoted Olivier Veigneau to the role of vice-captain. The titanic Senegalese had a magnificent campaign last season and has received Indi's vote of faith, with a view to extending his contract before next June.

A pair of preseason friendly matches were played at home against Roma and Stoke City, while a third against Leicester City took place in England as part of the agreement to sign Anthony Knockaert. Nantes picked up a surprise 4-1 win over the Italians in the first match, a direct result of Roma fielding several academy and under-21 players in the misguided belief that Nantes would do the same. Stoke were a much more respectful opponent, and despite leaving out a couple of key players in Asmir Begovic and Peter Crouch, they did give new signing Bojan Krkic the chance to score in a 2-1 loss to the French outfit. Leicester were the most difficult of the three opponents, with a packed stadium urging their team on to a 1-1 draw that could have easily been a win for Leicester, had Jamie Vardy's last-minute penalty not been saved.

Indi will be going into the start of the competitive season with selection headaches in the holding pair and attacking trident of his 4-2-3-1 formation. Several players proved their mettle against quality opposition, while many of the new signings got their first taste of action at a new club. Yaya Sanogo, who bagged a brace against Roma, is particularly eager to show what he can do. "The manager knows my ability. It's up to him to decide if I start or come from the bench, but I'm ready to do my part. We showed that we can play some great football, and hopefully that means we have a good season," said the former Auxerre forward, on loan at Nantes from Arsenal.

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?

Jeu à la Nantaise: August 2014

        Nantes 6-2 Lens
        7' Bedoya
        52' Le Moigne
        58' Schechter
        64' Deaux
        85' Sanogo
        88' Sanogo
        90' Sanogo
        90' Le Moigne

Man of the match: Yaya Sanogo (9.4)

        Match report:
Nantes romped to a first win in style with goals from Alejandro Bedoya, Itay Schechter and Lucas Deaux giving them a 3-1 lead with 10 minutes to play. Late substitute Yaya Sanogo scored with his first touch and added two more in five minutes, bagging one of the quickest hat-tricks in Ligue 1 history. Lens midfielder Jerome Le Moigne picked up a consolation brace for his trouble.

Manager's reaction: We were absolutely brilliant in moving the ball around. I'd have been happy with the 3-1, which was how it looked like ending, but it's great for Yaya's confidence to have picked up some early goals. We knew he can do a job, and he proved us right with today's show. I think both the goals we conceded could have been avoided, but it's still just the first match. We have time to work on our defending.

        **********

        Metz 1-0 Nantes
        89' Falcon

Man of the match: Remy Riou (8.8)

Match report: Despite a resolute defensive display for nearly 90 minutes, Nantes came away from Metz with nothing to show for their effort, as Juan Falcon's late header gave the visitors no way back. Remy Riou put on a fantastic display in goal.

Manager's reaction: You can't say that the better team won today, but that happens in football. We were far and away the superior group, but we didn't take the chances we created, and that cost us in the end. You have to give Metz credit for that goal, though. I'm happy with our fight, but I hope we show more ability in the next game.

        **********

        Nantes 2-2 Monaco
        13' Traore
        38' Dirar
        53' Bedoya
        60' Gakpe

Man of the match: Serge Gakpe (8.2)

Match report: Monaco dominated the first 45 minutes, putting two past Nantes through Lacina Traore and Nabil Dirar. Indi brough Yaya Sanogo on for Itay Schechter, giving Nantes the physicality to deal with Aymen Abdennour. The hosts rallied, Serge Gakpe setting up Alejandro Bedoya before bagging an equaliser to rescue a point.

Manager's reaction: At home, you hope not to concede too many goals, especially not without scoring. Monaco are a very good team, so we have to look at this result objectively and say that it will be a good point at the end of the season. There's still a lot of work to do, but I like the progress we've made on and off the pitch.

        **********

        Nantes 2-2 Montpellier
        14' Mounier
        19' Gakpe
        76' Schechter
        85' Saihi

Man of the match: Serge Gakpe (8.8)

Match report: A relatively early Anthony Mounier tap-in gave the hosts the lead, but Nantes fought tooth and nail to level through Serge Gakpe soon after. Itay Shechter broke the deadlock with less than 15 minutes to go, but Jamel Saihi levelled for Montpellier late on, and Nantes could not find the third goal they needed to win.

Manager's reaction: It's another game where we've conceded twice, but today we also gave up the lead. I'm disappointed for their second goal, because it was not only poor defending from us, but the boy who scored was at least a foot offside. I'm trying to stay positive because it's early in the season, but we need to be more resolute in defending if we want to go anywhere. It's not the worst start, but it's not great either.

        Player of the Month

Serge Gakpe scored 2 goals and registered 2 assists in 4 matches in August.

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?

Jeu à la Nantaise: September 2014

          Lille 0-2 Nantes
          21' Schechter
          60' Gakpe

Man of the match: Remy Riou (8.2)

Match report: Nantes picked up their first big win of the season, upsetting Lille in their own backyard with a 2-0 win. Divock Origi and Nolan Roux failed to beat Remy Riou, who set the tone with an astounding save in the third minute. Itay Schechter bagged the opener before teeing up Serge Gakpe, who netted from point blank.

Manager's reaction: We feel amazing right now. This was the kind of performance I was waiting for. I knew the boys had it in them, and I couldn't wait to see it in action, so you can imagine we're very pleased. I don't like to single out players for praise, but when someone has as amazing a game as Remy did, you have to congratulate him.

          **********

          Nantes 1-0 Nice
          73' Knockaert

Man of the match: Papiss Djilobodji (8.4)

          Match report:
Anthony Knockaert bagged his first competitive goal for Nantes, and it turned out to be the only strike of an otherwise exciting affair. Thanks to a classy performance from Papiss Djilobodji, Nice registered only two dismal shots on goal, neither of them on target. Chaker Alhadhur, deputising for the injured Olivier Veigneau, settled in quickly as he looked to the captain for guidance and help.

Manager's reaction: You could not ask for a better show of talent. Some people enjoy winning 1-0, as it shows that you can get the job done with minimal fuss on either end. We're just happy to have won, but scorelines don't tell the game's full story.

          **********

          Bastia 0-1 Nantes
          52' Knockaert

Man of the match: Remy Riou (8.8)

Match report: It was another episode of the Remy Riou show, as the in-form keeper pulled out all the tricks to deny Bastia a staggering 11 times. Lindsay Rose had a game to forget, but the assured presence of Riou guaranteed that any errors were not punished. Anthony Knockaert bagged the solitary goal for the second straight match, and is quite quickly become a fan favourite for his performance and attitude.

Manager's reaction: I said last week that scorelines don't paint the entire picture, and you see what I meant. We won 1-0 again, but this time it was all down to our keeper rather than our defence. But people have bad games; it happens, and you can't hold it against them. Lindsay has been very consistent, so I think it's unfair to blame him for having an off day, especially when the result has worked in our favour.

          **********

          Nantes 3-1 Lyon
          48' Camara
          52' Gakpe
          71' Gakpe
          79' Fofana

Man of the match: Serge Gakpe (9.4)

Match report: Nantes pulled off their second upset of the month, putting Lyon to the sword. After a goalless first half, Abdou Camara scored within minutes, heading in Serge Gakpe's corner. The Togolese then beat two men to bag a goal for himself, before repeating the same feat from the right wing to put Nantes 3-0 up. It was only a lapse in concentration that allowed Clement Grenier to play a piercing through ball to Gueida Fofana, who chipped an onrushing Remy Riou for the consolation goal.

Manager's reaction: You can say that this result is better than the win at Lille. I'm glad we could give our fans such a great performance. Again, I try not to single out players for praise because the team is the most important thing, but Serge has been absolutely mesmerising since the start of the season. His combination of explosive pace, balance, agility, power and ability is unbelievable. With the kind of form he's in, you have to wonder if the French federation regrets not having got to him first.

(because we haven't had one in while)

When you play with a team for a long time of career mode do you start to follow them in real life. I directing this towards the people who do low league teams and not teams like Liverpool, Chelsea, Man Utd even Newcastle (sorry Jamie)

For example I did a long Career Mode with Bradford in FIFA 13 and check how they go once in while, same with Nottingham Forest and Wolves. (where I did unsuccessful career modes with them last fifa)

Hey, I think your forgetting that time when I did the Coventry career but stopped because I didn't want to go long term if I was going to get a PS4. I've done low league ones before without posting as well.

Coventry I follow anyway because they are my local team but when I did a long term career with Crawley when they first got promoted I went the distance with that and I did start following them in real life.

I have started looking out for Wycombe on Sky Sports News since I did my first league 2 career on '14, so I suppose you're right.

Does anyone know of a good CDM I could get for cheap? I'm not sure how much I'll have to spend as I want to get Ings and possibly Schmeichel too. I asked the board for 10mill as they said we needed to strengthen the midfield. I was looking at Malanda, Imbula or Jorge. Everton said the wanted 15mill for McCarthy so I probably won't get him. I also approached Delph on a Pre-Contract so hopefully I'll get him.

Coventry I follow anyway because they are my local team but when I did a long term career with Crawley when they first got promoted I went the distance with that and I did start following them in real life.

Hertha Berlin's Hosogai was good for me but he is 27 or 28 so he is a bit old. Malanda is alright and grows a lot and you could try to get Atletico's Saul. Those are the only ones that come to my mind. You could look for players on sofifa.

Jagger, if I do a career with a small team I don't start following them. I start having positive feelings towards them and I may check their league position in the beginning but that's all.

Speaking of following smaller teams, I might go to Berlin in a few months again and watch Hertha against Leverkusen. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

                            The Swans

                            December 2014

                            Match 14
                            Swansea 1-0 QPR
                            SWA - Bony 77'

                            MOTM: Kyle Bartley

The R's came to the Liberty today for the first match of December. A poor 1st half from us and also a poor start to the 2nd half. Bony however dug us out of a hole again in the 77th minute with our first shot of the game. Tom Carroll's pass deflected into Bony on the edge of the box. He took a touch and then put it away with his left foot past Rob Green. Kyle Bartley in his first start puts in a Man of the Match performance at CB.

Wayne Routledge picked up a bruised shoulder and will be out for 5 days missing the game against West Ham.

Gerhard Tremmel has asked to be sold in January as he is disappointed at his lack of matches. The 36 year old German keeper's contract expires in 6 months so it may not be renewed.

                            Match 15
                            West Ham 1-0 Swansea
                            WHU - Carroll 19'

                            MOTM: Jussi Jaaskelainen

We headed to face Moose's boys at Upton Park for our second game. Downing got in around the back of the defense and passed it across for Carroll to tap in. Sigurdsson struck the post in the 62nd minute after 2 corners which were got off 2 great saves from Jaaskelainen. A poor game for us where we just didn't have that clinical nature about us.

Rory Donnelly has requested to be loaned out in January.

                            Match 16
                            Swansea 1-1 Tottenham
                            SWA - Gomis 70'
                            TOT - Soldado 72'

                            MOTM: Bafeitimbi Gomis

Highflying Spurs came to the Liberty Stadium today for macth 16. A goaless 1st half was dominated by Spurs. Hayes switched to a 4-4-2 Diamond bringing on Gomis. It worked as within seconds Tiendalli played a ball into between the CB and LB for Gomis to chase. Vertonghen got there first but Lloris missed the pass back which hit the post and Gomis managed to tap it in. Straight from kick off Spurs passed it through the team and Soldado was allowed to turn and make space in the box to score and equalize. That was the end and we got a draw.

                            Match 17
                            Hull 0-3 Swansea
                            SWA - Bony 24' Fernandez 45' 63'

                            MOTM: Jonjo Shelvey

The KC Stadium was our destination today as we looked to get 3 points on the board. Patient buildup play eventually led to Dyer getting enough space on the right to swing in a cross which was met by the head of Bony and put past McGregor. A Shelvey corner that found the head of Fernandez made it 2 right before halftime. Fernandez scored an almost identical corner on the other side 20 minutes into the 2nd half. We dominated and ran out comfortable winners against the relegation zone club.

                            Match 18
                            Swansea 1-1 Aston Villa
                            SWA - Cissokho 82' OG
                            AVL - Bacuna 30'

                            MOTM: Jordi Amat

An understrength side was put out today against Villa with the Liverpool game in 2 days time and they capitalized on this when Bacuna tapped in a Sanchez pull back on the half hour mark. 10 minutes from time a bizarre Own Goal from Cissokho gave us an equalizer. A game that we could've won but ultimately showed our lack of quality squad depth.

                            Match 19
                            Liverpool 4-1 Swansea
                            LIV - Gerrard 4' Sturridge 45' Borini 61' Lambert 75'
                            SWA - Dyer 58'

                            MOTM: Lucas Leiva

A game in the snow against the league leaders at Anfield was our next task for our last game of the year. Gerrard dribbled through our defense too easily for a goal in the 4th minute. Sturridge doubled the lead on halftime tapping in a pass across the goal from Lucas. We came out fighting in the 2nd half and Dyer finished off a counter attack to give us an equalizer. Terrible defending let Borini put Liverpool ahead again. Lambert finished off a bad performance for us.

Amazing start to the season! First season in the Premier League and already an undefeated month! After I saw Wilson score a hat truck against Hull I thought Wilson would actually win the Anyone But Wilson Award lol I agree with choosing Jamieson though. He may not have scored many goals but he scored an important one. Getting a win against City shows you have what it takes to play against the top teams in England. I don't think you've already covered this but I see some players are missing from your youth academy and you've been getting great results sooooooooooooo what formation did you end up choosing??

I read about the PSN name changing and it makes sense. I actually didn't know what griefers were, I usually just labeled them as douches, but I see how they could benefit from name changing. Hope they don't take too long adding that feature I would like to change my name as well.

Sucks to read that the YA glitch is still harassing you. I'll try reading up on it and see if I can find anything helpful. Have you tried firing all your scouts and seeing if that helps at all? I would say to get rid of all the players in your YA too but you can't even access it. Do you still get the monthly YA updates through email?
