That Nantes match was irritating. I was dominating possession but both times that they got a chance to score they did. Kheidera was the best signing for me. I am kind of sad that Carvalho is retiring at the end of the season but at least he gets Champions League Football in his last season

Low 70's for pace but he is a defender so the pace doesnt matter much

Man, I just got back from the office after almost 19 hours. We FINALLY wrapped up the big project, and I have the next few days off. It's around 10 pm right now, and I'm WAY too tired to do anything but eat and hit the sack. But tomorrow, I plan on getting started with my next career while the wife is out with her friend who's in from Prague. Can't wait to get caught up on the updates.

Sorry I haven't been around for a while everyone. I've got loads of reading to do so I will quickly post my latest update:

Exeter City F.C

FIFA 15 – Season 2

The Grecians

November

SkyBet League 1 Match:

Doncaster Rovers 1 – Exeter City 2

EXE – Ajeti (42’)

Albian Ajeti manages to stop a clearance up field and the ball rolls to Liam Sercombe before getting clattered into by a Doncaster defender. Sercombe manages to get the touch to Sinclair who puts a through ball into the box for Ajeti who smashes the ball along the ground and beats the goalkeeper at his near post. This is Ajeti’s first game back from injury and he is already scoring!

DON – Robinson (53’)

A ball is whipped into the box where Moore-Taylor takes a touch and tries to clear the ball away but it is deflected and the ball rolls to Theo Robinson who can just put the ball past Mabil and into the top right corner.

EXE – Grimes (87’)

Sinclair passes to Appiah on the edge of the box. Appiah skilfully skips past a sliding challenge and is through on goal. He takes a heavy touch and the keeper sweeps at the ball but the rebound falls straight to Matthew Grimes on the right who manages to hit the ball with his weaker foot while off balance and squeeze it between the posts.

Our Best Performer: Albian Ajeti

J. Paint Trophy Match:

Tranmere Rovers 2 – Exeter City 3

EXE – Sinclair (30’)

Watkins delivers a low ball in from the left and Jake Sinclair slides to poke the ball past the keeper. It always looked like coming, Tranmere are getting bullied physically and mentally at the moment.

TRA – Bruna (45’)

Bee throws his arms up in the air with fury after the ball trickles under Mabil but not quick enough for it to go over the line. Mabil rushes to get it and flails at the ball even though it is nowhere near going over the line. The ball then rolls to Gerardo Bruna who shoots but the ball is massively deflected by Moore-Taylor but still slowly goes goal bound. Mabil, now in the middle of his goal, dives extremely late and Tranmere’s first shot is a goal. Bee will be furious during the half-time break.

TRA –Power (51’)

The players come out of the dressing rooms and start the game off again. Exeter look more dangerous than they were in the later stages of the first-half but then for their second goal in two shots.

EXE – Appiah (56’)

Exeter City certainly do not start off shakily. Jake Sinclair spins around to meet the defence and feeds the ball to Appiah who takes it past one defender but the ball is stolen off of him by Mark Holness who passes back to his goalkeeper, Owain Fôn Williams, who takes a woeful touch and allows Appiah to charge in and tap the ball into an empty net.

EXE – Reid (90’)

The contract rebel Jamie Reid tackles the last defender and runs onto the ball. Reid nudges the ball to the right before placing the ball into the bottom right corner. Great composure shown by the twenty-one year old but won’t this just complicate the matters for Exeter?

Exeter City 3 – Oldham Athletic 0

EXE –Sinclair (PEN) (18’)

Oxford defender, Wilson, sticks a foot out while Sinclair is in the box and the referee points to the spot. Sinclair slots the ball into the bottom left corner and past the stretching goalkeeper.

EXE –Reid (57’)

Jake Sinclair receives the ball on the right by Ribeiro and spins to meet the defenders. Sinclair lofts the ball over the remaining defenders and to Jamie Reid who volleys it into the bottom of the far corner. What a great finish!

EXE – Reid (87’)

Jaime Reid wins the ball while Oxford try to counter attack. Reid is one-on-one and he manages to chip the ball across the keeper’s chest and into the corner. A very composed finish.

Crawley Town 3 – Exeter City 6

EXE –Flannigan (15’)

Jake Sinclair bursts through the defence and finds himself through on goal. He nudges the ball to the left and tries to curl the ball around the goalkeeper but he gets a hand to it. The rebound falls straight to Jake Flanniagn who neatly toe-pokes the ball between two defenders and into the goal.

EXE – Ribeiro (20’)

Ribeiro gets his first for the club after he passes the ball on the right to Sinclair who prods the ball into the path of Jamie Reid who picks out the run of Ribeiro who nods home past the keeper and into the far corner.

CRA – Smith (27’)

Amari’i Bell finds himself out of position to let Jimmy Smith waltz in to the box and knock the ball past Glen Mabil and into the bottom corner.

EXE – Ajeti (30’)

Bell redeems himself as he takes a great throw-in to Albian Ajeti in the middle. Ajeti knocks the ball past a defender before shooting outside the box. The ball curls perfectly to clip the post and then go into the far corner.

CRA – Banya (33’)

Three goals in six minutes as Banya receives a pass in from the left and he manages to muscle in front of Moore-Taylor and poke the ball into an empty net.

CRA – Edwards (36’)

Four goals in nine minutes as Gwion Edwards receives a ball from the left by Jimmy Smith. Edwards manages to sneak the ball under the goalkeeper’s body and into the net. Bee is absolutely furious...

EXE – Ajeti (68’)

Cowan-Hall is brought on for Jamie Reid at half-time and he bombs down the right wing. Cowan-Hall slows his run a little to left Ajeti make a great run through the defence. The perfect ball is delivered into the box for Ajeti to head the ball over the keeper and into the far corner.

EXE – Baldwin (70’)
Ryan Inniss is scarily close to getting two yellows so he was taken off in the fifty-eighth minute and replaced for Pat Baldwin. Baldwin gets his second goal for the club as Appiah takes a corner from the right and he rises above the rest to head the ball onto the crossbar. The rebound comes back to Baldwin and he manages to once again rise above his three markers and head the ball into the right corner and clipping the post on the way in. Exeter City surely have the three points now!

EXE –Ajeti (90’)

Ajeti gets his hat-trick as Appiah drifts into the middle to find Jake Sinclair who is tackled. The ball trickles to Ajeti who takes the ball with lightening pace and he calmly places the ball past the outstretched leg of the goalkeeper and into the corner.

Our Best Performer: Albian Ajeti (Credit to the two substitutes Paris Cowan-Hall and Pat Baldwin who changed the course of the match when they came on. (Both will play next match due to the disappointing performance by Ryan Inniss and Jamie Reid.))

EXE – Ajeti (12’)

Flannigan manages to slip the ball between two defenders and into the path of Ajeti who takes the ball past the goalkeeper and rolls the ball into an empty net.

NOT –Dumbuya (14’)

Mustapha Dumbuya rises appears at the back post to poke the ball in the net after a low cross in by Jeremy Balmy.

A: There is no secret. The lads are giving it their all when they go out there and even when we’re not in our best form, we still get the results we need.

Q: What’s happening with Jamie Reid? Is he staying or is he going?

A: He’s going... He’s been amazing at the club and he still has a good month before the January window for him to really show his skill in order to get to a club that will play him frequently and appreciate his talent.

Q: Albian Ajeti has turned out to be an amazing signing and has already shown signs of being your number nine. Have we still got more to see from him?

A: I wish I could offer him the number nine shirt but in respect to Adam Stansfield we can’t and will not until late twenty-nineteen. But yes, we still have much more to see of him. He is only eighteen and he still has a lot more time to grow.

Thanks! I have just 1 league match left against Werder Bremen, and then the DFB-Pokal final against Bayern Munich!

@Keano: Lots of high scoring matches, but you are doing a good job to edge out your opponent in most of the matches. Good to see Berahino doing well, he was such a great signing to bring in. He has the potential to be a really special player for you.

@Titan: Welcome to the thread first of all! Good to see a Southampon career. Like you bringing in some Aussie presence right away too with the Ryan signing. Not a bad month overall, really unfortunate to draw United so early in the cup. Southampton has set a high standard for you to follow, but I can't wait to see how you do!

@Kenny: Man really sucks to miss out on the top 4 by just 1 point. Pretty sure if Lukaku hadn't missed that time early you would have been in there. Amazing the numbers he was able to put up in the time he was fit. Now you have the Champions League spots to aim for next season!

@10cabee: Really good month there, and wow that 6 goal match against Crawley must have been amazing. Good to see you back here, I was wondering where you had gone off to! I know it's not even halfway through the season yet, but it looks like Exeter are off to the Championship next season!

Yup there has been a lot of goals. I just can't seem to keep a clean sheet. Berahino has been really great and he is only a 69 Ovr but he plays like a mid to late 70s player.

A question, Does anyone have any tips for defending? Like I said above I just can't seem to keep a clean sheet.

I usually use a 4-4-2 Narrow Diamond with a CAM at CM and a winger at CAM.

Keep a tight back line. Don't let your Defenders go too wide otherwise you'll get demolished by through balls. In midfield(Depending on formation) Have your L/RM's cover the wings(If your formation doesnt use L/RM's and has Attacking wingers, Have one Winger Attack while the other stays in midfield ). If your formation uses CDM's(Take my Monaco career for example) DO NOT play them wide(I see people do this constantly while playing FUT) Because this leaves your Defenders to have to constantly clear the ball. As for your Attackers(CAM's Strikers, and Forwards) Only bring them back if you have someone that is to agile for a midfielder to contain.
